Fun fact: What Tekking describes as Luffy's captaining as "just being there" is more historically accurate than one might think. Day to day activities on pirate ships were usually handled by boatswains or quartermasters, with quartermasters usually even being able to veto the captains under normal circumstances. The captains only had absolute authority in battle, which is kinda accurate to One Piece given that Luffy's always the one leading the charge.

If it wasn’t the quartermaster, then it’d have been the navigator, so Sanji or Nami. Only military and ‘official’ merchant vessels had the captains be in absolute control.
@A Great Man Named Lieu I'd say Nami, she is the one giving orders on the day to day running of the ship, is in charge of discipline and the crew's finances, and organizes everything for the crew.
That's why I think Zoro ironically fits the role of First mate so well. A First mate (Or "Vice-Captain) Would only stand in if the Captain was deemed unfit by the crew or could no longer lead their crew to the best of their abilities.

The All-Supernova/Worst Generation crew would have the Rock's crew problem of being made up of all leaders. I can just see Luffy becoming Captain because he accidentally won the drawing of lots because almost everyone was cheating and the cheaters accidentally nullified each other. Luffy would stay Capitan because no one would want to lose face by admitting to rigging the game.
I can also see this another way and that everyone knows that everyone is cheating but fluffy and he win and everyone thinks he just cheated better than anyone else.

I've been thinking about this for years, but, Kid could potentially be an excellent navigator on the Grand Line with his Magnet-Magnet powers.
Each island on the Grand Line supposedly has its own magnetic signature. Kid could, in theory, detect these and become a universal eternal log pose for any islands he's visited and memorized the magnetic signature of. And he could feel "a disturbance in the force from that direction" to find his way to islands he hasn't visited yet.
Of course, this doesn't have to take away from his eligibility as a mechanic. He seems like he would demand to fill multiple roles if he were the ideal choice for them.
Historically pirate captains were actually voted on and in that case I could see Luffy win he has Zoro which is already one vote for him, X Drake was told by Coby if he's ever in like an impossible situation to trust Luffy because he can make miracles happen pretty much, law knows how stubborn Luffy is and would know he's out voted no matter what because of killer voting for Kid, and I'll even throw in Hawkins because of his card reading ability he'd probably realize that Luffy gives them the best chance of living, and even gang beige would realize after whole cake that Luffy tends to A get what he wants and B pull off the craziest stunts and come out on top somehow. Counting Luffy that's six votes for him.
For a darker, but ultimately plausible idea of how they came together:
The only ones who escaped from Sabaody were the Supernovas due to the eradication of their respective crews.
They realise that the only way to enact vengeance against the marines is through acting together.
Hijinx ensues.

@@eliaspanayi3465 They all would have gotten rekt at Marineford if they showed up together as one unit since non of the Supernovas were top tier fighters during the Pre-Timeskip. Not to say Luffy was weak, but he kind of was comparing him to the Timeskip as even though he defeated powerful guys like Crocodile, Enel, Lucci and Moria, they were low to middle tier threats compared to the foes Luffy has battle and defeated during the Timeskip like Doflamingo, Cracker, Katakuri and Kaido. Yeah, Luffy hasn't defeated Kaido yet in the manga, but definitely will with how things are going right now in the story.
If all the Supernova were on the same crew they would grow to rival the Rocks Pirates easily.
The biggest thing would be situating where the crew’s morality would stand. Lots of different personalities clashing.
That's probably the factor that made the Rocks pirates not work either

I doubt it. From what we know about the Rocks crew most of the members were ridiculously strong before even getting their devil fruit. Like I'm pretty sure that even without their devil fruit Big Mom and Kaido would still stomp Luffy, Law and Kid.

Simpler scenario, ONE small change happens in their early life and by butterfly effect they all end up with a completely different life. They all get their fruits and abilities but maybe each one stays in their origin town running a bakery. Until the day Luffy shows up in their town and recruits them.
Law has to be the zoro of the group 😁
If All the Yonko decided to partake in a Davy Back Fight, (assuming they honor it) what do you think the ending crews would look like?

I think all the supernovas would just sail together and eat whatever they find, basically everyman for himself like a more civil version of what I picture the Rocks crew was like. If you get hurt, drink some milk/eat some meat/get some sleep then you be iight
this would be so insane especially with the level of power
I think one small time line change would create this scenario.... Akainu goes to Sabaody along with Kizaru. In this scenario while Kizaru is wrecking havoc, Akainu destroys all of their ships. Before going to assist Kizaru. The result is a blood bath, and all of the pirates except for the super nova are slaughtered. They are spared so that they can be publicly executed later. In the meantime they are sent to impel down. The break out happens, Luffy rescues every one and the Impel down arc basically happens the same. It is possible that since Luffy would be there earlier, they could save Ace and avoid marineford all together. However for this scenario let's say that doesn't happen.
Luffy and his fellow prisoner escape and Marineford happens pretty much the same way. Except this time the supernova are there to witness it as well. They witness Luffy's charisma, spirit, and determination first hand. They seem him ravaged by grief over the loss of his brother. Law and the supernova carry Luffy away on a stolen ship, and their combined powers allow them to escape. Jinbe also tags along as before.
Now all of the supernova owe Luffy thier freedom, and he has earned their respect. They all bond over their shared grief from losing their crews and loved ones. They decide to join together as a new crew, and Luffy is the only one that they all respect, so he is elected Captain. They all train with Raghlieh for two years and Kid builds them a new ship.
When they set out, they decide to enact Laws plan to take down Kaido. They take down Ceasar with ease, as well as Virgo and Smoker. Dresarosa is easier as well, provided that they figure out the sugar situation. Grand fleet is established, as normal.
Then they would set out to zunisha and then directly to Wano. There would be no big mom situation there, so it would be a bit easier. Except Luffy wouldn't know future sight.
That would be my scenario anyways.
Zoro and Killer will have a hard time saving them when they fall into the water. actually just Zoro cause killer can't swim anymore lol

But Tekking said there was lava instead of water. So… I dare say that’s also going to be a problem.
As far as a scenario where such a crew COULD feasibly come together.
-Law and Drake are, surprisingly, the easiest. We just assume Law manages to find a marine that isn't Virgo and gets shipped off to Sengoku, who in turn passes him off to Garp to be raised with his brats. Drake, being around the same age, gets the same treatment. I can actually see this (Drake specifically) resulting in Luffy being more willing to listen to his grandpa. Not become a marine, of course, but maybe they reach a middle-ground where he recognizes the rubber brat won't ever do anything morally reprehensible on his journey so he urges him to become a warlord. The government would prefer someone without a rap sheet that involves pillaging (and a lot worse), I'd think. And nobody said a warlord can't upgrade to king. Luffy gets his dream, Garp gets his grandson to at least fight on the same side as him even if he won't wear a uniform, everybody wins.
-Killer and Kid could hear about this version of the Strawhat Crew whenever it starts setting out and decide that it'd be a good boost to their street-cred if they beat them. Especially if Luffy did become a warlord. We've seen supernovas square up against them, or Yonko or their commanders, so it's sort of in line with their goals. Luffy, being Luffy, would think they're cool and agree to fight on the condition that if he wins, they join his crew. Fight ensues, Killer and Kid put up a good show but in the end the future pirate king brings them down. Kid's pissy about it at first but Killer urges him to honor the agreement, and though he'll never admit it, the redhead does come to get a soft spot for Luffy between his sheer force of will and his laid-back approach to command.
-Urouge follows the same M.O. Instead of a fight between captains and their swordsmen, it's just him vs Luffy. It's a long drawn out brawl between the boy that bounces back punches and the monk that powers up from them, but in the end Luffy comes out on top, battered but smiling. The Monk seems like the type to become your best friend if you give him some booze after a good fight, so he falls in line without any fuss. If Luffy becomes a warlord by filling in the empty space left by Crocodile, and this happens before Skypiea, the Brikan can show him how to get up there a bit more safely so the Merry lasts a little longer.
-Basil's is the simplest and most boring to be honest. He reads his cards, destiny swirls around Luffy and causes the percentages to spell out that this guy's going places, and he decides to join his crew. I can see him getting along with more morose and straight-laced members like Law over time, so if it ever does come to a point where the odds are better if he leaves or turns traitor, he decides to ignore them. That could be his big character moment. "My crew is worth the risk!"
-Assuming Bege just wants to score loot to finance his criminal empire, or just go on a grand adventure in general because the Mafia life got a little repetitive (sorta his reason in cannon) I can see him hitching a ride with Luffy's crew on the strict condition he become quartermaster. While skeptical of the shift in the command structure in favor of the new guy, I can see a lot of the crew looking up to him pretty quickly on account of his class and hygiene. He runs a tight ship, and the Merry could use some tightening before it gets so loose it starts taking on water, so to speak.
-Assuming Apoo keeps working for Kaido, he joins up the same way he pretended to Join Kid and Basil's alliance. Ride the gravy-train straight to Wano then sell them out. Either get a character growth moment where he changes his mind and redeems by fighting the beast pirates, or a solemn moment where the party guy of the group turned out to be it's biggest bastard. Alternatively, he's just some guy that's befriended/beaten then recruited by Luffy like the rest. Mostly just helps Brooke with entertainment, but maybe he could live up to his "on-air" title by setting up a Den-Den radio and broadcasting sick beats to whoever could listen. Be a funny way for Bartolomeo's fanclub to get bigger this time around, it doubles as like a music fan-club of Apoo and the Soul King.
-Given Bonney's the former queen of the Sorbet kingdom and has SOME relationship to Kuma, a revolutionary, and Luffy's Dragon's kid, she could join up because she thinks she can steer him in the right direction to meet her needs. Maybe Dragon organizes a meeting by letting her know where they'll be, maybe she just shows up, makes a splash and demands to join which Luffy immediately agrees to, either way she's there and the only reason having another glutton on the crew isn't giving Sanji ulcers is because she's at least hot. Jokes aside, she'd probably be the one to drag/urge them into siding with the revolutionaries directly against the world nobles.
-Blackbeard: Okay uh... this one.... this one is the trickiest. We basically gotta re-write him a bit.
1- Thatch isn't dead. We can still say he's wounded and that's why he's on the run, either he stabbed first asked questions never or didn't take being told no about having the fruit too well, but Thatch is alive. There's room for reconciliation there, because anyone Ace absolutely HATES isn't gonna be kept on his brothers crew for long.
2- His goal leans in more on his archaeology hobby. Same deal as Robin, but maybe he can be her foil. She wants to learn it for knowledge's sake, he wants to learn it for power.
3- He'd at least not be outright hostile to Luffy assuming he did take Crocodile's spot. As a government-sponsored pirate, his bounty would be frozen. Handing in a yonko commander is one thing, trying to hand in someone aligned with the government when you're still technically wanted would never fly, and he's smart enough to realize that. Basically he'd join to be on the same crew as Nico Robin, try to break down her walls to get as much help as he could in his research, then dip the first chance he saw at resurrecting some old super-weapon from the void century. Character growth moment could be them convincing him to destroy it, or kamikaze it against the government instead of use it to try and take over the world. "A man's dreams never die! But maybe, maybe they can change."
As far as other crew, I don't think Luffy would want faceless lightweights, but named members of crews (Bepo, Heat, etc) would probably be kept around if the other former captains have them with them by that point.
Sorry if this was long, it was just kinda fun to think about.

I do like this interpretation well thought out too good job I just think if Urouge wouldn't fight Luffy he'd just want to have drinks with him and say prayers like a monk would instead
I don't see the kid one happening without just as much or arguably more than BB at least IMO. The rest aren't terrible although I don't think sengoku would give law or drake to garp to raise, he would probably keep them in HQ to train as marines.
I'd love to hear your take on a "What if Geco Moria beat Kaido in their war/rivalry?"

Well for one Moria might be less lazy and more proactive on becoming the pirate king, maybe he takes kaido and his crew's shadows and still makes an army of zombies or just powerful zombies with their shadows. And I feel like he'd probably end up being a yonko at some point since his fruit is really close to how big moms works and he has neat techniques that seem to be pretty powerful, with the only weakness being salt water and him being a bigger target in shadows asgard.
I also wonder, would his crew still be alive or would kaido still have killed them, it's just this time Moria won
@A Great Man Named Lieu if anything could snap a would be lazy character, it's beating a dragon. The ego boost alone would make Moriah see himself as a demigod, big motivation.
Interesting fact btw: Even Iron can withstand magma, so it wouldn't need that much in a pinch. If Killer can find or synthesize Iron, Nickel, Cobalt or Titanium, then those would all work in theory.
However yes, Metal Tungsten would be ideal, but keep in mind that tungsten is somewhat toxic.
Also Tungsten is partially magnetic or paramagnetic in nature because of the presence of unpaired electrons and realignment of those electron paths because of an external magnetic field. It's weakly magnetic, but it shouldn't matter for Killers fruit since he seems to have no limit to how much he can move with his magnetism.
Now when it comes to buoyancy, the consistency of Lava would make it basically impossible to "sail" in, it's like sailing in thick yoghurt.

They'd be powerful, sure. This would be as volatile as Rock's crew though. Cant see it lasting long thou without someone constantly on top them so someone doesn't die.

Luffy isn't the kind of guy to acknowledge he has beef with someone but I guarantee you if Blackbeard was in front of him there's no way he's not punching him out again.
@@kryptonight63 Since the timeskip Luffy hasn't reacted to Blackbeard outside saying he wants to beat all the Yonko. Akainu is the only one he's reacted to with any personal emotion. Ace attacked BB. That was his choice. Akainu is who Luffy had a reaction to upon hearing his name.
@@gonaedeath2 just because his feelings of vengeance towards Akainu might be stronger doesn't mean his feelings towarda Blackbeard have changed. And he obviously doesn't view every yonko in the same light he wants to defeat all of them yes but if he were to fight shanks it would be a more friendly competition versus how he'd fight against Kaido or Blackbeard.
Well in this scenario blackboard might probably not fight ace because it's Luffy's brother. So their original "dreams/one-piece" banter would make them good together... I think

It's crazy cuz technically rn, 6 of them are pretty much fighting as one crew already and look at what they've accomplished/about to accomplish

Not sure if you thought about the combo of Hawkins and Urouge. All the damage done to Hawkins will get transferred to Urouge and for him and his ability, all damage done to him can make him stronger. Hawkins becomes unkillable and Urouge would be like the Juggernaut
Thinking about it, the Rocks pirates might have been pretty much the Supernova crew of their time (even if with a different dynamic).
The Supernovas working together in perfect unison would *absolutely* dethrone the Yonko. Excluding the obvious powerhouses, Bonnie's fruit might be one of the most OP in the entire series. Remember, age conquered even Whitebeard, and any difficulty of Bonnie applying her fruit at close range is negated by Law's existence
Buddy only 5 are needed to dethrone the yonkous all others are fodders….

I'm actually kind of curious. Would Whitebeard, or even a sickly Roger, have had Bonny reverse their age back to their prime? Why/why not sort of vid. That seems like a very tempting sort of deal, even to guys like them.

For Whitebeard, I _think_ he would take the bargain for Ace's sake at Marineford, and if he trusted that Bonnie genuinely wanted to help.
And Marineford being invaded by prime Whitebeard, ableit one still struggling with his illness? Yeah, the marines wouldn't have stood a chance. Bonnie would've shaped the entire course of One Piece history with almost no effort.
You should do a series where you take a supernova and add 3-5 characters from the series to their crew and why these characters would make atleast a little sense on the supernovae crew.
This kind of could happen in another impeldown escape kind of situation, because, the supernovas teaming up towards a common goal is kind of similar to crocodile teaming with luffy
It just came to mind, and I don't know if it'll be mentioned in the Video or in the comments (didn't watch the full video yet), but they'd be the second coming of Rock's crew, or at least someone in OP would mention how damn similar it is! Because you cannot tell me it wouldn't parallel with whatever the Hell Rocks was thinking when he recruited all those people, like Whitebeard, Kaido and Big Mom!

On the subject of what if's, with Kid's prominence lately and his parallels with Luffy I've had one neat in mind:
What if Kid took the grand line route that Luffy took?
I think Alabaster would wind up a much worse place. Kid doesn't seem like he'd care about their plight. Might not even spare Vivi when he met her and Mr. 9.
Most islands would be worse off, really. Remember, his bounty came about because his crew target civilians, he kills people who mock his dreams of finding One Piece (Bye bye Bellamy.) and his second in command is called the "Massacre Soldier".
They aren't nice people.
I'd be really curious to see what kind of tricks he could pull with conduction and grounding and the like if he fought Enel though...
genuinely out of all the groups of characters in One Piece the warlords, the yonko, the marines, other pirates the Supernovas have always been my favorite group of characters in the One Piece i love all the supernovas greatly and still genuinely hope we somehow get a arc based around just the supernovas
I would argue that not having to give orders makes Luffy a great captain. He recruited an incredibly competent crew that each have their own responsibility to take care of and inspired so much loyalty that one of his weaker members took on an emperor to take her red poneglyph. And he succeeded!! Luffy doesn’t have to oppress to conquer. Can’t say that about Blackbeard or Kid.
Historically, a pirate Captain had little to do with the day to day running of the ship. They took absolute control during battle, but otherwise, they just had the final say on most decisions, then delegated.
And that's what we see. Nami, the navigator, is the one who runs most things, but she takes them where Luffy tells her to. (It would usually be the Quartermaster relaying the captains orders and telling everyone what to do, but the Straw hats don't really have one.)
Wouldn't say great considering the situations he gets his crew in.

I don't know about that, he cares about his crew and friends more than he cares about revenge. I could see him try to go for blackbeard but having Zoro there to stop him, calm him down and think about the situation more logically if he ever wanted to return home to his crew. Like when he was VERY hesitent to work with crocodile but dis ao anyway because of saving Ace.

I really like this what if scenario, cuz it actually relates to something I’m doing. Im making a One Piece fan sequel story and in it, Law becomes a Yonko after convincing all the other supernovas (besides Luffy and Zoro) to merge into a singular unit 🔥🔥🔥
The crew would not last a week because they would fight constantly. Not all of them some I think would be ok with not being a captain or dealing with the others shit but most would try to dominate the others.

I personally think it would be a situation almost similar to Rocks' crew, with two or three (Luffy, Kid, Bege?) figurative captains and Law actually making the most clever decisions, gaining consensus among some less "captain-ish" SNovas. All the others have shown willingness to step down, or have been in crew positions below the captain role (Apoo and Hawkins bowing to Kaido, Teach was on Whitebeard's crew, Bonnie just cares about eating, Drake stepped down lately and honestly has other priorities, Urouge seems like a pretty chill kinda dude, Zoro and Killer are already below the captain role so no doubts here)
Wait...what? You're saying at this point in the story it would still take all the supernovas fighting together, in perfect unison...just to beat 1 admiral?
I know some people underrate the admirals too much, but man...this is way too crazy in the opposite direction.
At their current levels in the story, just Luffy, Law and Kidd, fighting together, would probably MID DIFF any admiral, aside from Akainu.
They're currently fighting (and doing well) against Yonkos. And yes, the gap between Yonko and Admiral might not be as huge as some think, but 1 Yonko is still > 1 Admiral.

there's actually a couple reasons why you didn't get sick from the pork. the main one being: it wasn't really raw. most if not all meat you by in the store is electrically shocked, which tenderizes it, before it is vacuum sealed. it was then marinated which i assume had some sort of acid; either lime juice or vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce contains vinegars too. chemically cooking the pork. and it was refrigerated.

Hey I have a video/discussion idea I've always wondered about: I forget where but I saw that Donflamingo (Joker) was originally planned to be a major part in Wano, but instead got his whole own arc. What would Wano have been like if he was there, and if his arc didn't happen? Maybe other characters wouldn't exist and him and some of his people would've taken others places?
I can see this hellscape the Supernovas got transported to being the home of Lily Carnation
I hope that you do this kind of video with other characters, like the Yonko commanders or the Tobbi Roppo or maybe even a setup with semi-random characters akin to your Isekai videos. Maybe you could even work randomized crews into future One Piece Isekai videos.
My scenario. Sabo was captured at reverie and to be executed. Luffy "wins" the supernovas in a davy back (BB comes along to take down the government) and goes off to rescue Sabo.
Back in the day a lot of pirate ships had a priest on board and I think that would definetely be Urouge's role on the ship.

A fun concept for a video could be the most optimal crew for finding the one piece out of all the members of the crew from the super novas not including the supernovas. I know we average fans don’t know much about them but tekking Sama for sure knows everything about them! (Bonus challenge limited to only 2-4 straw hats)
I feel like they'd split off at the get go into at least 2 of even 3 groups, just based on their personalities.
I like to think each sh will be teamed up with a different supernova crew in the fight against the blsckbeard pirates. Edit: more accurately I think every Canon character in stampede will be in the final war/laugh tale Arc. I think the buggy/foxy/wapol trio will be necessary to either getting OP or fighting the WG

I think for them to follow Luffy there would have to be a moment for them to gain respect for him similar to Jimbei or Zoro who first didn't respect him but after a certain moment they follow him.

I've been playing some one piece DND and I've made a similar situation for the main crew where there are pirates of the same level around the same time a lot like the supernova's and I've put a lot of thought I to them. Imaging all those people on one team is incredibly badass
Now Imagine if everyone of the worst generation was part of the same crew. With Blackbeard they would be basically unbeatable…
That would be a broken ass team although it would lose some heavy hitters. The Straw Hats currently have a pretty powerful crew with Zoro, Sanji, Jimbei, and eventually Yamato. They are going to be busted once she joins, and after Zoro and Sanji’s power ups they had solidified themselves as Commander level combatants. It’s not a question if they are that capable anymore it’s a certainty.
Zoro is a supernova and technically the would nothing against them gaining more members or allies so Yamato and Jinbei are still on the table.
@@czar17_28 Yamato is the strongest after Zoro once she becomes a Strawhat. She has advanced conquerers. A powerful mythical zoan. Insane durability (Because Kaido daughter), offensive power & stamina. She even held back hybrid form Kaido.

As for the all supernova crew, I believe the question of "can they beat an admiral or yonko" is highly dependent on when this occurs, example, right at Sabaody, they would get dumpstered by an admiral ez. 2 year time skip, I would still say we are looking at them getting dumpstered by the yonko, but prob be able to fight an admiral (but prob not win), if we go present day, I feel they could take out a yonko at most mid dif.
