Most confusing thing to me is why the heck were none of the straw hats (especially Chopper the DOCTOR) concerned when Zoro showed up after 2 years missing an eye.
Because with all the injuries they get in their adventures, they are probably more shocked an eye is all he lost during their 2 years away from each other.
Any interaction about zoro's Eye was carefully offscreened
I'm sure they asked him but Zoro just brushed it off as something not important I think.
I'm sure there were reactions, they were just off screen.
This and the fact that Oda has never talked about it in an SBS (I'm sure he received plenty of questions about it).
I feel like there's a story to be told here. We might find out how he lost that eye during a flashback during zoro's final duel with Mihawk...
How do you know he lost it though? He could have it closed for training or something

I could've sworn it was stated or at least implied that Zoro always had the bad sense of direction even when he was a bounty hunter. Like he didn't even want to be a bounty hunter but that it was his only way to make money and pay for food as he fumbled his way around the east blue.
ye I get the same impression, but then how did Zoro have no problem find the Kuro Pirates on Syrup village?
That Kitetsu curse theory would explain that real nicely xD
@@Broockle I have a different theory. Zoro is part migratory bird. Those (mostly) rely on magnetic fields to navigate, so his sense of direction would be completely useless in the grandline.

Zoro did get caught by a giant south bird in Skypiea. Maybe his long lost relative? Maybe the bird was just concerned for him 😂
He became a bounty hunter because he was lost.
He was always bad with directions but it got pushed from a trait to a running gag.
Zoro is being called to Laugh Tale. He will be the last key to find the last island.
The whole haki on rubber thing makes a lot of sense
It's like punching a big wad of chewing gum versus punching a truck tire. They're both rubbery but one is tougher than the other
i also think its like oobleck, when something hits it its hard but it can still flow and ebb normally
Vulcanized rubber is like rock, its also shiny and black. Inspiration for armenment haki hardening?

The problem would be more on the receivers end. The mroe "rubbery" the better the punch gets slowed down gradually, so it does not cause as much internal damage. Just making it hard rubber makes no difference with regard to defense (unless you coat your organs in haki?)..
@@trime1015 you forget that luffy us made of rubber. So his organs can probably resist shock damage by nature anyways. So with haki he won't break bones or tear skin and his rubbery insides do the rest.

the most confusing part is how cbr thinks a manga with over 1000 chapters is rushed
It’s CBR they think Thor could beat Batman, Mineta can take on all for one and not die, and Usopp can single handly defeat Kiydo in a David and Goliath kinda way. Actually I could see that last one and it would be hilarious at this point
They aren't saying the manga is rushed. They are saying the characters are rushing.
Ill give you an example.
"Bob jumped out of hiding using his two legs together to put force on the ground so that he could propel himself with what is known as a "jump" in the direction of the town. First he put his left foot down and then as he put his right foot down with all his might he quickly raised his left leg and then repeated the pattern of lifting one while simultaneously putting down the other foot to propel himself as fast as possible by using the force of friction between his foot and the ground to create horizontal movement towards the nearby town."
It took me way too long to say "Bob ran towards the town" so I wasn't rushing the story but the character is rushing because he's literally running and trying to get to the town as fast as possible.

@@ThatControlUser that might depend on if Batman is worthy or what incarnation of Thor we are talking about. the worthy thing only applies to marvel Thor. The Thor in the Magnus Chase series still nope but he’d be a big fan. The actual Thor from the Mythology would floor Batman in a flash. Marvel’s probably would.

These CBR questions are proof that a lot of ppl watch shows and really don’t pay attention, and overthinking things that are obviously not requiring much thought
The irony about Sanji never mentioning he was an actual prince to the Straw Hats is that if he had done so, Nami might’ve actually shown a bit more interest in him, at least until he told them that he was disowned.
That is too sad. Glad Oda didn’t go down that route

nami and Robin are around sanji enough to know he's a real pervert I highly doubt they'll actually fall from in any circumstances
Oda (or better yet his editors) are going to keep Nami practically asexual and flirty as long as she's a simp money magnet.
Just like idol culture where they're not allowed to have boyfriends or they have to keep it pretty secret because single draws in all the fans over there.
Treasure hunts and gold rushes are *BY DEFINITION* done in a hurry.

On the Zorro thing: Wasn't it stated that Zorro became a bounty hunter because after he left his home he got lost and couldn't find his way back home? So he did have a bad sense of direction beforehand

I mean almost any normal people will have a hard time to get from an island to another, you'd need to have more than average sense of direction to navigate correctly without any difficulty.
I mean most people can't navigate so him not finding his home is not the worst.
Another theory that I like is Zorro had SOME kind of bad direction but the curse of his sword implifies the worst habit of the person.

Chopper's fruit didn't just give him intelligence. Like how every single Zoan is a LOT stronger than the animal itself could possibly be, their abilities were supercharged. So, Chopper's intelligence was supercharged, too.
Most confusing moment for me is easily whitebeard breaking the map on Akainu and not dying.

@@trappyboi8678 nah plot armor. Oda wanted Akainu dead but the animators wanted Akainu as a villain because his character fits. Oda went with it.
@@xsign1a Its Oda's damn story, not a democracy, why in the world would he let animators decide the entire fate of the story when he has been probably waiting for this for arcs and arcs??? (I mean you do know that Akainu becomes fleet admiral right?) Akainu is also admiral, the best fighting force of the navy, he made of sterner stuff and Whitebeard was sick and on the verge of death. It makes sense at least in my eyes.
@@xsign1a Also what do animators have to do with the actual story? They just animate the scenes in the manga, get their pay check and call it a day? When did Oda say he wanted Akainu dead? He waited 100s of chapters to introduce then kill him? Get outta here with your bs 😂
@@kraiaikrai8962 And Akainu did have a scar after that incident and in One Piece world, getting a scar is REALLY hard so it did hurt him quite a bit.
I also think with your points mentioned that it makes sense. If we question this, we should question every battle wound that they got because none of them would be survivable

I feel like we’ve all just accepted that all of the various Barry’s have just disappeared, and I can’t help but feel like that’s a mistake.
They haven't disappeared they have just gone reformed to the origin body. Yes, all forms of Barry are from his shadow clone jutsu

I'd like to think that the crew each has a cliffnotes understanding of each others' histories at a baseline after they've been together long enough, sans Luffy because he's Luffy. Just going down the line:
Zoro probably has more stories about his bounty hunting days, but could probably gush about Koushiro. I think some more prying crewmates know that Kuina was a person and could make some educated guesses.
Usopp is an open freaking book, the only issue is getting him to talk about himself without him making a grand tale out of it. Everyone knows his deal.
Sanji would mostly discuss Zeff and change the subject if you go too far back. Maybe something could be gleaned before totland, but really just that there is some trauma there.
Sanji and Usopp heard about Nami direct from Nojiko, they could probably cover for her if her history comes up and fill the asker in afterwards.
I think chopper knows the most about the others specifically because he's a doctor. Medical history and all that. As for him, after a bit of talking with Usopp and hearing him tell stories I think he could embellish the genius of Hiriluk.
Robin has an uncomfortable past and this has the unique distinction of not getting farmed for Usopp Tales. Everybody but brook would get the gist after enies lobby and they could tell him before he asks something that might reopen wounds.
Please ask Franky about Tom. Franky can talk about Tom for days. He does have baggage similar to Sanji and they've learned not to pry into that stuff.
The crew knows about Brook and maybe more than we do. He mentioned being a soldier when he joined and I can see Usopp Robin or even Zoro asking to learn more about that.
I think Robin learned enough of Tom both when talking with Iceburg and when listening to Spandam and the CP9, plus she must have learned about the history of Water Seven in the post-Water Seven arc.
I feel like with Luffy he would sometimes just drop little tidbits of info without noticing. Like maybe before he discovered that Sabo lived mabye one day on the ship he's like "That's just like Sabo used to do it" but never elaborates it. And the crew just acknowledges that Luffy doesn't seem his past important to talk about.
Well Sanji did mention being from the South Blue instead of the East so chances are the crew just decided “He traveled a bit as a kid”

Zoro didn't let the sumo wrestlers pass because of his code of honor, it's because they captured Okiku and Zoro could sense she was a strong samurai. Okiku was still posing as a regular civilian at the time.
Ep 134 has my favorite "Strawhats juh chillin" moment. It's filler, but still a great scene. Look up "Luffy interested in a book" if you're curious.
Also the scene where Luffy and Usopp play in the snow and make snowmen
I actually really like those first couple post-Alabasta filler episodes for stuff like this.

Every time I see Zoro getting lost I think it's a Oda's tribute to Ranma's Ryoga character.
Whenever people bring up the Zoro getting lost thing. I keep reminding people that Ryouga Hibiki was the first one to do the trope. The trope for characters like Zoro were inspired from that.

From personal experience I think its completely unlogical that people think you would talk about your parents who you haven't seen in years. Fe my father died when I was 16 this many years ago, and even to my close friends I kinda never talk about him, since its been so long ago. 8 year old kids would have even less memories of their parents.
Same with my father is been almost 16 years I was so litle, is only we some member of my family that we talk about him and is no always.
10:24 now i imagine how blackbeard and luffy are fighting at the final battle, and also arguing about that pie of that shop.
Long story short, every and any question posed by CBR can be answered by any soul that has any basic knowledge on One Piece. The only confused individual was the one in charge of the article in question.
Straw hats as the crew or straw hats as in the actual hats? Because that giant hat still gets me thinking

I’m more perplexed by how Wapol survived decapitation by Zoro.
I always imagined that he ate his own face as a sort of defence mechanism, like buggy's self decapitating escape plan. I mean we have seen him completely eat himslef
its hurting really bad seeing tekkings views go down, he's talked about almost everything relevant about one piece, and his other videos on black clover dr stone etc, dont grab the attention of many people..., hope it grows again... still one of my favorite youtubers of all time
I like the idea that Zoro's internal compass is always pointing towards Wano
I like to think Zorro has a subconscious higher awareness, that guides him to be where he needs to be in the end. That why he never gets anywhere before he needs to be there.

If you want foreshadowing watch attack on titans, way better foreshadowing in that series, that actually impacts the story. Because seeing railegh in chapter 10 had no impact to the story whats so ever.

I feel like instead of the idea of the Straw Hats giving massive exposition on their pasts whenever they have a new member join the crew, they could just go over what their dreams are. Honestly I’d love to see the Straw Hats at full capacity have another moment like when they were going up Reverse Mountain. Gonna need a few more barrels though.
weird thing with choppers devil fruit is that it seems to keep its effects of boosting his intelligence even when he isn't in his human or hybrid form .
How is that weird it’s been shown with other users of similar fruits like the carnivore fruit model wolf that when you go into you beats form it doesn’t just suddenly change your intelligence to that of a wolf
@@hbsavage0387 but the human intelligence is always there to begin with on a human, it would be more similar to like, the fruit eater keeping their enhanced senses without having transformed at all.
@@GiRR007 think of it like this choppers brain has permanently changed to allow for the intelligence of a human so why would it revert if all the other zoan devil fruit users brains don’t change when they enter different forms.
@@hbsavage0387 I mean yes his intelligence seemingly has permanently changed because of his devil fruit but my point is it shouldn't, like you said other zoan users brains don't change becuase of their fruits, they keep the level of intelligence they had from the start, chopper had reindeer intelligence from the start so why does it stay ? Weve seen literally no other zoan affect the users brain in such a way.
I guess it's also a matter of what is and isn't internal. Chopper's body is external, so he can change that. However intelligence is something internal. Its not even a physical object that's internal. Its an abstract concept.

My most confusing moment was this 30 minute video where someone mistook active for passive and vice versa.

The most confusing part in one piece for me is how come the random marines at dressrosa can use armament haki but none of the straw hats except for luffy, zoro and sanji, aren’t able to, especially robin who was with the revolutionaries for the 2 years
Robin isn't really a fighter. If anything, maybe she'll get observation haki, but she already has her devil fruit for that. As for the marines...Yes, it's weird, but not unlikely.
In my opinion the most confusing thing in One Piece is how inanimate objects can eat devil fruit.
Obviously Vegapunk has a mouth attachment, puts it on the object and gives it a stomach and a bloodstream so that way the fruit can merge with it, then he removes the mouth

People seem to forget that Chpper is a raindeer, meaning that, being 17, he is quite old for his kind. Unless Zoans allow you to keep wichever lifespan is longer (wich would make Kaido and Marco almost immortal), Chopper could be on his deathbed at any point. It'd makes sense then why he would want to find the One Piece as fast as possible.

@@umibeame7099 Oda drew Chopper at 40 and 60 and they look very different than his nowadays "child" look. So most probably he will age as a human

even tho they havent been traveling together that much they already been through so much together that a year of knowing each other is like a decade for them

I would suggest explaining things the fandom is _actually_ confused about but I really can't think of a lot apart from Pell, I feel like the story didn't really leave much room for confusion.
Also adding to the hurrying aspect: Luffy has 10 less on his life span because of Ivankov healing him from Magellen's poison.
Even more than 10, Lucci mentioned him loosing life span because of Gear second
That as well.

@@bayardkyyako7427 At the beginning where he fought lucci, lucci said it does drain his body. I can imagine having little to no effect now that he is able to control it better but nontheless up until his training, gear second did hurt his body
The lost Zoro theory is good and all but I'm pretty sure the whole reason why Zoro became a bounty hunter in the east blue was that he kept getting lost when trying to get to the Grand Line to find Mihawk.
How did Zoro have no problem finding the Kuro Pirates on Syrup village tho? 🤔

Imagine armor that can take shape of your skin. it can stretch and shrink. At this logic we would have hard enough skin to resist the attack, but at the same time she can stretch, that would help this armor to not break or crack. This things supplement each over.

Some thing that confuses me is that luffy never thought to figure out how garp was hurting him. We see him ask and garp just says it’s his fist of love. But for 10 years he never thought about it?
I mean we see Luffy as a dumb character who doesn't question much in his life so it's not out of the world.
And I would say after Luffy was given to Dadan, he didn't see much of Garp either so he was still a child while getting beaten up by Garp

@@CristianQCruz Yes but to understand and question Haki as a child is different than being 17 and have different understandings of techniques.
I mean the whole first grand line doesn't even really know Haki so Luffy is not the only one

It's always confused me how zoro can grow 2 extra heads, 4 extra arms and 6 extra swords.
But I probably missed something really obvious that explains it.
It's haki. I won't say how cause the anime hasn't got to it yet.

This probably isn't right, but I always interpreted those lines as Luffy and Zoro figuring out that Blackbeard was part of a crew, referring to the him and his crew as a them

To give a possible in universe explanation as to why this may be the case, I don't recall that Big Mom or Kaido have ever met Blackbeard at all. As far as we know, only Whitebeard and Shanks have. Shanks have been the only character so far trying to warn people of Blackbeard. With the possibility that Blackbeard is who Shanks talked about during Reverie. Although it's all still just speculation
I think at least Shanks already know what Blackbeard is, given that he personally went to Whitebeard to ask him to stop Ace.
Marko also said to someone of his crew "that's true for normal humans but, as you know, teech isn't normal. His body is... odd. Maybe that explains it." so people know that at least his body is odd.
He never slept so people noticed it when Marko said "as you know". They probably just never knew to what extend before the incident of Whitebeard

He only do it for the trauma of making people not die of hunger, in a peaceful world he would not take that route i guess.

I think Oda thought about things other than what they already do.
You can also be a swordmaster and a doctor in real life and Oda did gave both Zorro and Chopper different jobs because, again, it would be lame to say they do the same as in fiction.
