My variant of BlackBeard death at Marineford: BlackBeard eats Gura Gura no Mi devil fruit and explodes immediately. Nobody can eat two devil fruits and survive.

My scenario is this:
Blackbeard’s in the middle of his speech when Whitebeard just points the Bisento at Teach and says to Sengoku “Can we just stop for a second and kill this menace?”
Sengoku in the Buda form just is setting there thinking for a second like “...Y’know, he probably is a bit of a threat... GET ‘IM!” And just points at Teach, and just everyone dog-piles the Blackbeard crew.

Whitebeard dies later on the moby dick ( in tekkings scenario), so the whitebeard pirates have his fruit. I'm not sure anyone besides teach knew about the other powers of the darkness fruit so I'm thinking no one is really gunning for it. In most people opinion BBs fruit is kind of useless as a logia, your not intangible. Let's say the marines take that one and issue it to Kobi, yeah Kobi with dark logia that's cool!!!

Blackbeard especially embarresed the marines. Remember, he used the Warlord system. Sengoku stepped down since someone had to have endorsed Blackbeard
I totally agree with Fujitora and Smoker. Why the fuck would the WG want to hunt down Pirates and then create a system to support 7 of them. I understand it in Doffy's case, cuz he was useful to them. Why make Croc one, why make Boa one, why make Moriah one. These are guys, especially Boa, who have caused huge casualties for the Marines. Boa fucked up some Pacifistas and many many Officers during the war. Like she does more harm than anything.. Moriah their dead corpses to create manpower - which is a disgrace to the Navy.
Mihawk, Kuma and Doffy make sense. Even though Doffy used them way more than the other way around.
All in all, everything we've seen so far seems to indicate that the Shichibukai System weakens the WG and Navy more than it gives them strength.
In Doffy's example, he used his title to rule over Dressrosa and be THE underground boss. If they ever threatened to kick him - he wouldn't givr a fuck. He had Kaido in his back. So he used them to gain power and they used him to scare off some Pirates. Wow. The whole premise for this System makes no sense imo
@@Smashman012 There are several reasons, one it makes them look strong. If such powerful pirates are becoming nothing but dogs begging for scraps then what does that say about the powers of the ones who hold their leashes. That is why Crocodile and Doflamingo are a problem for them since they use their titles to embarrass the world government. Second, they make themselves out to be traitors to other pirates who will see them as dogs and then seek to kill them to make a name for themselves. This will ensure that the pirates who challenge them die, those who join them will add to their power and that of the world government and they will be unable to form alliances with other pirates to gain power. It also gives powerful pirates a temptation, to use the world government as a shield to protect themselves against others through their reputations and associates with them. Third, they serve as expendable forces against any of the Yonko whom they balance out with their presence. Throw all seven of them against a Yonko and between their forces and respective powers the result will be that the winner (most likely the Yonko) is so weakened that the government can take them down easier and claim the credit for both to bolster their reputation. If the warlords were to win then they would be weakened to the point that they cannot challenge the government, if the Yonko win (shrugs) the warlords are only pirates after all. They are only ever meant to be a loose end in the grand scheme of things. If the Yonko were to ever be gone (makes a dismissive gesture) the warlords would be the next to go and the government would deny their very existence in the future or attribute them to the all-powerful nature they want to present. The system is flawed and they do result in some casualties, but as long as their actions can be excused with their greater use then a few casualties here and there won't hurt anyone. You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs after all.

@@Smashman012 Thanks, I have had time to examine this issue since it is an interesting subject. Quite frankly, I can see why they are considering abolishing the system. The warlords are either committing actions that hinder or embarrass them or they are being defeated casting doubts on the government's choices or both. I can see why the system exists and I understand why the government wants them gone now. They are proving more trouble then they are worth and now they will need to decide what to do if their positions are removed...those few who remain undecided. Still, I suppose when you chose to endorse certain criminals there is an expectation of things going wrong. I suppose it is a bit of a testimony to how the government projects strength and justice, but is actually full of weakness, corruption, and hypocrisy. The longer they try to hold onto that image, the more it will come crashing down on them when that image is destroyed. The government has a lot of skeletons in its closet and I doubt that those skeletons are content to remain buried forever.

@@katakurifan5213 almost everyobe is basically fodder without his devil fruit, except for haki specialists like Shanks and the other Yonkou. Blackbead is as trash as he can be without his devil fruit. Whitebeard is still a formidable foe without the quake fruit since he has awesome durability ad pretty skilled with his blade. It's just awesome how people just bring the meme that says "this character is nothing without his devil fruit" despite knowing that devil fruit powers in One Piece is something indispensable.
I pictured Shanks just showing up earlier and he gets to have a bit of revenge on Blackbeard for the scar over his eye. And then Shanks's crew just decimates Blackbeard's, like Ben Beckman or Yasopp takes out Auger, the big meat dude (forgot his name) takes out Burgess and so on. So like how Whitebeard told Shanks "Its 100 years too early for you to tell me what to do!" Shanks would come in and be like 'Its 1000 years too early for you to take Whitebeard on!' (or me on) and he takes him out
Shanks would likely just tell his men to let him finish it and then proceed to kill the rest of the crew all by himself not taking a single hit

I actually see Aokiji becoming the new Yonko after leaving the marines. It's a final slap in Akainu's face and also perfect for Aokiji's views. He might take some marines who supported him or just didn't want to serve under a tyrant. They would become pirates... but only in name, they would defect and become criminals in some way, but their conscience would be clear. Maybe attract and take in some of the more honorable pirates and misfits out there. Even could get help from Marco. They are both reasonable people, today's enemies may become tomorrow's allies, there is no real animosity between them apart from the law, and that doesn't matter much anymore. Other things are more important and when there are no schemes and evil intent, real trust will follow.
Because what would they be doing? What would be their purpose? With both White and Blackbeard gone, the territories would be defenseless, and most places are just peaceful civilians. And who would attack? This new crew would fight only against pirates and only defend. You say the supernovas will go against the other three more aggressively, but with the protection gone, the Whitebeard part of the sea will suffer way more. Especially in the new new pirate age. Aokiji could just claim the title, keep the balance, keep the peace, keep things under control just by being there. Lazy Justice...

When a Devil Fruit user dies, the power they held goes into the nearest fruit. So, unless Teach had a fruit on him at the time, your scenario couldn't work.

All the warlords have a little self-destruct button so when Blackbeard arrives, Akinu takes out a panel and presses the "Blackbeard" button and he just explodes and everyone stops to watch for a minute and then decide "Alright, it's been a good day, let's go home." And the battle just stops and they just leave and go home.
The world would be better, cause luffy has another emperor on his side. The search for Marco would not be a thing, well, at least until later. Marco would not have fought and survived Blackbeard, if possible death came from the fight with Blackbeard and Marco.

I can see Whitebeard planting Teach into the dirt once, but at that point, after so many of his men died, after he failed to save Ace and stop Akainu, he's done. He levels Teach into the dirt and just hammer's at him with his Devil Fruit, to the point its power is beginning to crack the island into pieces. He's not holding back now, he'll turn Teach into a bloody pile of bones before he stops. Teach crossed an unforgivable line, Whitebeard would be absolutely sure that if he dies, he is taking Teach with him so no one in his crew suffer more from Teach's actions.
Also, pretty sure the world would have been better off is Hilter died as a child or young adult. Mass genocide and attempted world domination is really hard to one up.
Instead of killing Child Hitler you could just get him out of his family and raise him differently. It was mostly his father's fault for how fucked up he was. Not the actions - that's on Hitler for sure. But Papa Hitler beat the ever living shit out of his mother and Baby Boy Hitler and his sister. Was an alcoholic too. So instead: take the family or baby/young Hitler away from home, raise him to a good man. Apparently he was a good drawer, could support him in that aspect. Do what ever you can to change him, instead of killing a child who hasn't done anything.

Ok so bear with me here, Shanks fails at stopping Kaido from reaching Marineford, Kaido enters Marineford and Blackbeard (like he did to Magellan) rocks up to the absolute unit and tries to fight him but ends up getting death maced into the air and boro breathed by Kaido, then out of nowhere Buggy rises from the rubble with his good friends and allies: Usopp, Johnny, Yosaku, and the strongest tag team of all time Con D. Oriano and Gaimon. All weilding a miniature version of Pluton and at the command of Captain Buggy all the brave men fired at Teach, ripping him apart at the molecular level, killing him painfully

Honestly, the death of Teach and Whitebeard opens up another interesting concept.
We saw in the case of his death (In Canon) Big Mom took up Fishman Island as one of her tributaries. More than likely, I believe the other three Yonkou might carve up his territories and subjugate any would-be attempts from the Supernovas. Either that or perhaps it may very well be the World Government that might latch their claws into formerly Whitebeard Territory to try and establish stronger footholds where they could potentially ward off expansion of influence of the other Yonkou. If this did embolden the Supernovas, I do believe we may also have a body count or things would be accelerated to the current point in some cases. Kaido beating down Kid's alliance, Big Mom's attempt on Sanji's family, ect.
Now for his death, I do see one potential route that would still be satisfying. Honestly, during Whitebeard being shot I just imagine him standing there after they unloaded all of their attacks and after a long moment he just grins with his eyes slowly opening and that shockwave bubble begins to materialize around him in his entirety before exploding with violent force. This aggravates his wounds but kills Teach and his crew that are currently point blank with him as he then gives the same speech he did in the series. Finally dying without regrets as not only his "Sons" were avenged, not only did he piss on the World Government's entire hopes that the Pirate Era would be over, but he was allowed to do all of this with his dying breaths. Depending on if he just did himself as the epicenter or did one massive blast ahead of him with a more directional focus blast perhaps he could have seriously crippled the current Marineford Forces, which with the larger body count could have even ended up with Sengoku stepping down and perhaps even Gecko Moria wouldn't have been targeted due to the now heavily diminished numbers as they might not be able to afford the loss of him.
All the while, this might also have a stronger effect on Luffy's story.
I do believe he would still do the bell as he did before but I don't quite know if it would be at Marineford or even if the place could be salvaged if he did a big enough death rattle of an attack. If it wasn't the case, I am curious where else they might try to convey the message to his crew about when they should return. Not only that, but I also wonder if the other Yonkou might be emboldened in this particular scenario that there was a much larger body count. Big Mom's dream of equality being enforced through intimidation might be her and her crew launching a real attack against the World Government to make them fall in line, Kaido might view the Marines as someone to actually fight to achieve that death, maybe Shanks might even consider hitting the Marines instead of just letting the battle end.
But I am just running on random ideas at this point.

i can see that happening at some point anyways to be fair i think the Message Marco gave Nekomamushi to pass on was that Marco and the other commanders will ally and fight with Luffy when the time to fight black beard comes i mean maybe not but would be cool and makes sense they both have a bone to pick with Blackbeard
Ao1 Nate I could definitely see that happening. I also see Blackbeard getting Kaido’s fruit unless it ends up not being a dragon Zoan . I know people say he’d be too op but let’s not forget that even now Blackbeard hasn’t dared to challenge any of the other emperors . So I must ask if his two devil fruit powers are all he needed to take on the other emperors then why hasn’t he been doing it? I believe Blackbeard isn’t going to be the super power house that many believe he is due to the evidence Oda has given us .
Ao1 Nate Lets look at it this way it Blackbeard was indeed stronger than even one of the emperors then logic would dictate that his titanic captains should all be admiral level or at least the top 4 should be . And as we saw with Burgess he got his ass handed to him by Sabo fairly effortlessly . And Sabo was having a difficult time against Fujitora .

I disagree. I think Sengoku retired mainly because of Whitebeard's death. I feel like he saw that as a sign that it was time to pass the torch to the next generation. He might've noticed he's getting too old and that the risks were probably not worth it at this point where new threats arose like Blackbeard.
