This was my first IAE and it was super cool! It was so neat to see the bigger ships and it made me so excited to fly some of these ships with your org!
You should definitely do each day, and maybe ask people what you should rent and test fly or drive. I rented both Crusader fighters. They are powerful but not for me. Gonna go jump some craters in one of those buggies now. See you in the 'verse.
Crusader makes the Ares Ion/Inferno AND the Intrepid. To your point about gun size, the Ares series has a S7 gun, the Intrepid started with a S3, but was quickly upgraded to a S4. It's supposed to be a starter ship, like the Mustang, the Aurora, the Avenger, etc... the Crusader design language really shows through in the Intrepid, and you can see the evolution in design to the Ares starfighter chassis and weapon system. I'm a big fan of the Intrepid's look. It's just a smaller Ares Ion. It trades damage for living space and cargo hauling. It's a perfect addition to the current starters on the market.

i did this today and god my PC was crying even on the lowest graphics and 720p i still get 10 fps if i am lucky... the reason for this is that my current PC is running on a 4th gen i7 and 16GB of DDR3 💀💀. my dad had agreed to get me some new computer parts for christmas but then my mom started complaining about it pulling out the usual bullshit excuse "but he's going to spend more time on his computer if you let him upgrade it" so now i don't know wether he still agrees to getting the parts for me or not 😭
I admit: I quite like the Intrepid as a starter. Cargo capabilities, nice interior with just a bit of wasted space. A bed to log, a ship's inventory locker that works and offers a bit of space. I do like the way the cargo elevators can be used as an extra entry/exit point. Just do NOT fight with it... even after CIG upped the gun from size 3 to size 4 it still does not do enough damage to be even a fighter for easier targets. It flies pretty neat though, did some low flying tests and was positively surprised. I'm a fan of Crusader's asymetrical line, so I do dig the looks of the Intrepid. Just that gun... that shitty small gun xD Can't wait for the Anvil day though. Medical Terrapin got me all fired up for SC again...
Hey man! Yeah I agree, I don’t dislike it as much as others seem to. I think that apart from the weapon it’s a nicely designed little ship. It would be so much better with a bespoke size 5 or something imo. Just compare it to something like the avenger… It’s just a shame they had such a good thing going only to kind of ruin it in regards defensive capabilities. The fact it launched with a size 3 is kind of ridiculous to me
@@CaptainFlynn117 CIG not playing their own game (enough) is one of the big problems. They come up with just theory crafting and it blows most of the times. Like the Intrepid first size 3 gun option. Ridiculous, even for a starter. Anyways, looking forward to your next expo adventures! Your vids always feel like a fresh breeze!
The Medi-Pin is very, very tempting! When I first saw the Terrapin my first thought was "make a freaking medical version of this funky turtle!". Well... here we are. All else? Nah, not many new ships on this IAE and I am not a fan of the bulky ones, so I'll pass on pretty much all. Just... that medical Terrapin... mhhh.

Good idea, yeah the buggies are a ton of fun, can’t wait for the terrain to get a lot clearer so we don’t smash into random rocks

The intrepid used to have a size 3 gun and it really looked awful. I think it looks much better with the size 4.
