@@bigmufu No, I'm done. Not that my opinion would cancel your valid opinions. Discussion is good. I just wanted to let people who have played it know that this review is an incomplete hot take imo.

The majority of issues mentioned in here were addressed in the consistent patches they have been releasing almost daily. Many soft locks fixed, tools now auto-switch, harvest and storage amounts adjusted. The simple bow recipe was given in one of the very early missions. Not sure how you missed it. Now it's given even earlier along with the simple tool recipes. You also missed the most critical reward of the game, which is watching these gorgeous biomes you've planted and stewarded turn the wasteland into a fantastical paradise. The devs openly state they had to move to early access in order to not go broke and prepared us that things would be bit rough at first, so this "review" feels like kicking them when they're down, especially since they have been so openly responsive in their discord and addressing quality of life as quickly as they can.

Thank you for clarifying this. Seems quite an unfair review based on what you just said. I really hope this game keeps improving, it has a tremendous potential. Will consider buying it to support the devs 🙏🏼

So would you recommend this game in its current state ?

    • @Monkeypuzzle

@mtnman8783 Yes, if you're tolerant of early access growing pains and enjoy this sort of gathering/crafting genre. Otherwise wait for full release. They have a very solid roadmap. I'm personally working through the existing content and the am waiting for full. But I'm happy to support them now.

@@Monkeypuzzle thank you for a serious reply. The game looks fantastic to me but the bad reviews have made me nervous to pick it up

19 hours in and I have a glitched compost shed that I can't rebuild or remove thus hindering progress. I have to restart for the third time. Games a mess. It will get better but from not being able to play when it first launched due to the code being messed up. Having to restart because of buildings being glitches to then discovering i won't be able to progress the game due to a bug that can't be fixed is pretty inexcusable. I gave it more than a chance but it's too fiddly and buggy in it's current state. It's early access so that's to be expected. I won't be diving in again until it's alot more stable

Been playing since release and didn't have any issue with bugs yet. I made mistakes but that wasn't the game's fault. It's more satisfactory than fun because im a sucker when it comes to growing stuff. Overall, this game shows a lot of promise so reviewing it officially during EA would be a disservice, I think.

you harshly criticize a game that has been out in early access for 5 days now from a small indie team for this exact reason. To help this team to fix the bugs and complete the game with the help of their community.
no one in the team stated that it is released the perfect game with no bugs and that is the next big thing. On the contrary, with much respect to their community , they informed us of the reason that it will be released in early access and they also gave us a very detailed roadmap for all of the 2025 and 2026 with what follows exactly . Also, almost everything you mention today that we are talking about has been corrected by the devs.
Soo your review is accepted but quite unfair in many ways ..
