I am mildly disappointed that my boi Smoke didn't get his own chapter in Story Mode.
It's kinda sad but ay at least WE HAVE HIM IN THE GAME! 😁

They will most likely have story expansion’s later in the future just like what they did on mk11
he has a huge background you cant talk about every chatacter , the balance story in the game is 9/10 never boring , quan chi parts in cinematics are way too exquisite
I love how this game gave the often disregarded characters (Smoke, Reptile, Baraka) a time to shine, and made them into actually cool and respected characters.

@@invictus6176didn't get a chapter but was still interesting when on screen. And he is now the 2nd in command of the shirai ryu probably so he will get his time in future game/dlc hopefully.
To be fair, Kenshi didn’t get a chapter until now. Smoke may have his time eventually
And then Reiko and Havik barely have *anything* apart from match intros. And then somehow Cyrax and Sektor are cyber *before* the cyber lin kuei become a thing as kameos... The kameos are a very odd decision for MK1, with opposite sides fighting together against their own respective allies (such as Havik and a Scorpion kameo against Shang and a Stryker kameo)
Smoke from a kidnapped victim forced to have a demon Put in him to an orphan turned dorky ninja with kuai Lang as a brother.
Reptile from a minion that no one respects and the last of his kind to a outcast that got the friendship of both earthrealmers and outworlders, even a romance with a demon
Baraka from a ruthless minion constantly being killed to diseased edenian that wishes to help those like him.
All deserve these glow ups and new found friendships with the heroes
Love the wholesome moments between Tomas and Johnny
they have a cute older brother younger brother dynamic

Everyone is so damn nice to each other in this game, which certainly makes the crazy goriness of these fatalities much more juxtaposed.
Sharp contrast to people beating the shit out of each other for sneezing the wrong way

Yeah, like what is stopping Liu Kang from bringing back Smoke's family? Liu Kang is such a hypocrite in this game. He was always talking about how Raiden was a bad Protector of Earthrealm yet he is no better himself.
@@jakubsokol7301he is better than Raiden. But using time power to go back that will created consequences. It’s drove Kronika mad. Liu Kang didn’t want Hours of Glass because of it.
@@jakubsokol7301It was a canon event pretty much. Somethings in the universe has to happen to make them who they are or they will become that in a way or other. Liu Kang did really do everything in his power to keep peace on this timeline but bad things happened which were out of his control. He gave Shang Tsung a uninteresting life to keep out of the path he had taken in the other timeline, he could have done so much worse to him but yet he still gave him a change and everyone else but they still choose to become that way. Liu Kang needs more appreciation

I love how with the outworlders, he is just curious about Outworld and just ask them questions in regards to their culture, government and the different races that exist in the case of Reptile

Ben Tennyson, Sasuke Uchiha, Marth, Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Dainsleif, Makoto Yuki, Yosuke Hanamura, Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, The Prince and now Smoke… The Man is everywhere, and I love it, lol.

I'm simple czech. Everytime I see Smoke I'm happy that our little country has its own Earthrealm defender.

Im so happy that my son is back like he never left. He even respects and likes Johnny, and thats hard for MK characters, as there's only been one other person to feel the same way, being Tremor in X and im so happy that my baby boy is back. He is one of the few things that cures my Kronik depression

Even in the new timeline, Hanzo flaw is always been his anger. Hope Smoke and Kuai manage to make Hanzo conquer his own rage so its not causing everyone problem later on.
Yeah nah my bet is Bi-Han is gonna kill Kuai Liang, Hanzo will become the next Scorpion, and having seen Kuai as a sort of father figure, will get even more rageful

@@liebestitch689You talking about Invasion? OG Hanzo already kicked out by Liu Kang and sent to the timeline where Harumi is still alive but she become Scorpion and Hanzo is the one who died. So they become double Scorpion in that universe.
This timelines Hanzo is significantly younger than Harumi he’s actually just a boy for now but he’ll be trained into a great warrior by the next game

@Reis23 I also love the fact that when asked why he didn't take the hourglass power for himself he said because he believes in liu kangs vision. The fact he chooses loyalty towards liu kang is admirable since he was basically a jobber slave to kronika but that's what separates kronika from liu kang he gives people a way to show their true character a CHOICE. I was never a liu kang fan but I love him in mk1 raiden really picked a worthy successor.

Which means we could possibly see Jarek in the future as a playable character, cause the intro dialogue between him and Smoke would go hard. Not to mention, because it's a new and different Era. Jarek's design is gonna be also new and flushed out, including a whole new moves and kit.
