Every reboot Johnny got better. Honestly I think this is the best Johnny cage of them all. Thoroughly entertaining with his quips, but also not too arrogant, and shows maturity when it matters.

@@blackdemonknight actually, I think him(and several others) are weaker for sequel purposes. Shang Tsung’s intros hint at several possible plot points for the sequel, including them going to his island. He also mentioned wanting to experiment on Johnny.

-Scorpion v SubZero
-Shang Tsung being Johnny's nemesis (I guess?)
-Chaorsrealm being the focal point of the story
-Johnny/Raiden x Kitana
-ofc, Johnny shooting a new movie about Outworld
-Outworld in a civil war between Mileena and Shao
I hope the devs explore these, but I wouldn't hold my breath tbh

My guess and hope is that the next game will star Sonya and jax. With Johnny and kenshi playing a bigger part than they did in this game

I just love how Kitana enjoyed a movie Johnny introduced, Reptile watching predator, Johnny agreeing with Ashrah about Hollywood being evil, Shao saying “swagger”, Smoke being a fanboy, Nitara’s sarcasm to Cage, and both Mileena and Sindel being protective of Kitana 😂
I laughed so hard at the first dialogue with Baraka tho

Johnny promised Smoke a cameo if Smoke wins the fight and even better Smoke agreeing to the terms.

Johnny is the kind of character that grows on you over time
Man, Johnny Cage is the best in last 3 MK games. I mean, I love his dialogues in MKX, MK11 and now in MK1. Cause he is just killing it. And I'm glad that they brought back Andrew Bowen for this role, because there is no one else who can do the best at voicing Johnny Cage. I mean, really, there is nobody, clearly NOBODY who could do better than Andrew Bowen, and I hope that he stays for this role forever because, come on! HE IS Johnny Cage! Sure, I know about Van Damme story, that Cage were inspired by him, but even as a Van Damme fan, I can say that Van Damme did not nailed it as Cage better than Andrew Bowen. And now I see the difference between actor and voice actor.
p.s - They should have never brought Megan Fox as Nitara. She sucks at voice acting!

In the previous games everyone saw Johnny as someone unbearable, in this one several people respect him as a teammate and others tolerate him quite a bit, it's great.

Johnny Cage has been an absolute treat for three games straight now. His relation ship with earthrealms champions in particular have been great. His buddy-buddy relationship with Smoke is so wholesome, and his bamter with Liu Kang got me good too.

I love the idea of Johnny using his IRL MK buddies in his movies. Kenshi got points on a film, Reptile and Johnny hanging out on their days off watching movies and Smoke tagging along getting bit parts in Johnny's flicks.
I've always found it incredibly hilarious that there are some genuinely wholesome intros between opponents, like they're just entering a friendly sparring match, but after the fight you can decide to murder them in the most grueling, sadistic and depraved of ways.
They finally got his real life inspiration to voice him this is lovely

I think they find him amusing or they find him delusional, but either way, Johnny just has such a personality that they can't deny a lot of them has some sort of respect for him.
