I was skeptical about Bella as ellie. I didn't have any doubts about pedro. But after the show I'm happy to say these two were perfect as Joel and Ellie. Brought me back to 2013 watching them

It wasn’t until episode 3 that we knew Bella was perfect
I think it's nice for the new actors and actresses to make their first appearance. In the future, they will be famous.
@SpaceJesus I will agree but it kinda worked with the pacing of the show. She was confident and aggressive. Hadn't seen the outside world. And by episode 9 she was broken and quiet. Slightly different function in the game. But the show got to the same ending character wise. It was done pretty damn well.
Joel’s face when Ellie says, “are you gonna shoot this thing or get it pregnant” just sends me. Same goes for when Ellie says, “this is fucking amazing” and Joel snaps at her, “Ellie!” 🤣

They were developing a father daughter relationship which Joel had lost and Ellie never had. This was the foundation of what Joel would do for Ellie in the rest of the series.
@d a r l i n g J o in the sequel, Joel was her mentor and her best friend. There is a bonding between them which no one can understand.

Pedro is slowly becoming one of my favorite actors of all time.
These two are not the same Joel and Ellie in our games, but they're damn great versions of them and their dynamic.
They seem pretty similar maybe a little more snark but I haven't watched the show yet

My favorite moment was the diarrhea joke. Such a funny moment!! 😂 But also, you can hear the suttle changes in the tone of Joel's voice in the way he talks to Ellie. And then in episode 9, the way he converses with her is much different. I thought that was cool how they did that! And no matter what the haters may say, they really are the perfect live action counterparts of Joel and Ellie.

This is about the only video I've seen of them that makes me happy and smiley rather than emotionally torn apart. I mean, they're awesome acting these characters, and the emotional stuff is great. But laughs are great too. The diarrhea pun and his reaction are the best. I feel like that was a very real laugh between Pedro and Bella more than Joel and Ellie. I can't help but laugh with them at that point.
