I was skeptical as well when I heard they were making this, past experience shows that no matter how good a video game is, somehow it always falls apart when an adaption is made. This show thankfully averted that and though diverged from its source a Handful of times, it remained true to it which I actually appreciated. I would of loved to see Ellie and Bill interact with each other but the ending the shows creators gave to this Bill and Frank I believe is much MUCH better. My only gripe with the show is the choice to have Tess kissed by an infected, definently could of gone without that, that being said and that being my ONLY gripe, this show is a definent 10/10.
Okay but Ellie’s diarrhea joke had me rolling on the floor. It was hilarious for no reason…. It was so random that it was just funny lol. Plus Ellie’s comebacks whenever Joel says smth to her is honestly too much for this world lmfao
That little girl is way too good at playing this character. I know it got some hate but i really hope they do the 2nd game too, just to see her transform from a goofy child to a raging badass.😂

During her brief time with Tess, Ellie tended to be less annoying and bratty around her than Joel - even though Tess was more open and accommodating to Ellie's presence and quirks than Joel at the time. This is also true in real life - between two guardians/parents playing chill/strict with their kids, children tend to be more afraid of angering the Chill Parent (the dad in most cases) than the Strict one. (Meaning while they might disregard - to some degree - the warnings and admonitions of the Strict Parent, should the Chill Parent ever turn serious, they quickly fall in line). Wonder why's that - something to do with psychology, maybe.
It's because kids learn that if the chill parent gets pissed; it's serious and it must've been bad for them to get angry. With the parent who is strict, it's hard to tell for a kid what boundries/situations are serious or not when the parents is grumpy or strict all the time.
I finally just watched this series. it's a bomb! the relational evolution between joel and ellie is finely done. the mutual attachment that is built between them is reinforced with each ordeal they encounter. very endearing characters. I do not know the video game but I became addicted to this series.
I need them back...although I might pass out when the "special" Joel moment comes next season... This show is just outstanding, i can see it a million tines, its just toooo good! I love their relationship ♡ I love them...man, imma cryyy ♡♡♡♡ My fav moments: 3:50 7:50
