This was actually completely unscripted. Pedro Pascal had a hankering for soup and smelled it, happening upon the home of an ordinary Indigenous couple. The directors loved it so much they added it to the show.
These two are a substitute for Ellie and Bills banter. The show took that away but gave us this banter. I liked it BUT!!! I wanted to see the OG story imo

Funny - they were both on the show Northern Exposure. Graham Greene was Leonard Quinhagak. Elaine Miles played Marylin Whirlwind (Dr. Joel Fleishman's secretary). Fun to seem them both back in their element.
Those two legends stole the whole show in their handful of minutes of screen time. Give us a stand alone episode of the Native American couple just like they did with Bill's episode.

As a Canadian whose been to the Yukon, these people arn't even actors. It's just every random old Inuit couple. They're fantastic and I honestly have never met a people who couldn't give less of a shit.
Love how all of us American Indian people who grew up on Indian reservations completely understand these people's desire to disappear into the forest alone. The Native American actor I’ve seen in a lot of stuff of course… but the woman I haven’t seen since she played Marilyn in the 90s dramedy NORTHERN EXPOSURE. And her character is pretty much the same! AND in THAT show she was the secretary for the town’s doctor, Joel!! I’d like to think that THIS Joel eventually let’s them know about the Jackson Hole commune, just in case they’re interested.

I loved this scene so much. They seem so unfazed. They know they're not evil because they'd be dead otherwise.
