Your experience on Asky Airlines was better than my adventure in April 2001 from Tallahassee to Sarasota Florida. I booked a flight non-stop on Flair (Florida Air). When I checked in at Tallahassee not only did I discover that I did not have a booking but I didn't have an airline either. Flair went bust before their first flight and I lost the money I paid for my roundtrip TLH-Sarasota, Sarasota-Tallahassee flight. At least you had an airline and a non-stop one at that.

Africa is a BLOODY CONTINENT!!!! I started as an FO at Air Zim then went to BA Kulula (SA), Zambezi Airlines (Zambia) and now on the Q400 with Luxair in Luxembourg... (one of the richest countries in Europe)... I'll tell you things were generally more straight forward in Africa

Continental Europe ranges from arctic climate to mediterranean with continental climate in the middle. African climate ranges from subtropical to equatorial to tropical monsoon and hot desert climate zones. A HUGE climatic difference.
I think I have now made my point that from a European perspective, Africa is pretty much all the same. From an African perspective, Europe seems pretty much the same everywhere, too. There are many regional differences in Africa and Europe but looking from the outside, there are many features that make both continens seems quite consistent within themselves.
By the way, I bet I could name more of those countries and their capitals than your brain is able to memorize.
