I tried the frost healer build since the damage nerf patch, it's basically unkillable. Played 3 WSGs so far, 0 deaths across the three games, won all three. I put 3 points into imp blizzard though, I just use rank1 as a nice aoe slow.
are you using as offensice spells arcane blast/arcane missile? frostbolt? or spellfrost bolt?
@@alexisbusson I was using blast/missile, spellfrost could be good also. Mostly I was just healing though, very little temporal beacon, mostly chrono healing

theres some forbidden knowledge you can do with 1 point into imp blizzard and using rank 1 frost bolt with brain freeze feet rune too, but 50% crit dmg is always insane so is the heal

I would replace the living bomb with ice lance, it way more fun to play with. Do you know if frostfireball benefits from the redcuing cast time of frostball talent point?

How does the first build perform now with the nerf?
I am doing 34/7 - true fire w/ 4 into frostbolt for fast r1 slow - and the 2 into nova for deep freeze
boots have 1% hit so you only need 1 hit talent pt
Id like to see a pyro + iceblock build here, also dont u think the balance between dmg and stamina is worth to use 3 pieces of raid tier set? It also provides stamina and the dmg is huge compared to r7 gear
I do have the 3set personally but the gear gives an idea of what you should have to maximise stamina but you can swap & change stats to whatever suits you best
for heal mage frost talents, you will have icy veins 2 times if you swap out of mass regen, i would keep the normal regen

Hear me out ok. Been testing out rank 1 blizzard to proc the rune on chest for 15% chance at free frostfire bolt. It procs a lot on groups during STV that you might be cancelling upon casting the blizzard. Not mama efficient but you can rank 1 blizzard have the instant stored do some come of cold ice lance fire blast then bang surprise instant frostfire bolt 😅 cheesy but fun if they don’t find you

Rank 1 blizzard when used correctly is a crusher. That’s why blizz nerfed it. It is incredibly wonky now about applying the chill debuff. Test it on the ramp to lumber mill, players will mostly ride right through it.

@@LewReviews I assume your 50 now, when your leveling again I would recommend running arcane surge and take advantage of using it for killing blow on mobs and drinking immediately after. 3 tics and your at 65 percent mana. Made my grind much easier.
@@mikemcnair2026 mate... idk but... r1 blizzard with slow is nothing compared to trap launcher hunter trap... NOTHING. the area effect of blizzard doesnt always apply correct for my eyes and u are vulverable casting it for ever... hunter just puts it there and its GG...

I dont think it is worth it. the amount of stamina on rings you cannot find on other pieces of gear.
there are a lot easier places to pick up pure spell damage. like the cloak/offhand/wep, trinkets, neck all can give you similar or better spellpower gain for less stamina loss than swapping the STV ring or EW epic for a freezing band.

For build 1, find a talent to throw into improved blizzard. Easiest way to trigger fingers of frost in pvp with rank 1 bliz into 2 massive frostfire crits. Rinse and repeat

i'm sorry but for deep frost you defffff need 5points into improved frostbolt for r1 fb slow
Also with 3% hit from gear (trinket / PVP set / a few belt options) you don't need any in elemental precision. Much rather have 5 points in there than frost warding for a marginal amount more armor. Build claps most phys damage dealers as is, and 1s frost bolts >>> slightly more armor in the matchups anyway
R1 frostbolt is great for control but the idea of this build was fighting at 41 yard range, you could easily spec into that though
@@SeanoHere not at all trying to say the build is bad my man, in fact I made it my dual spec already 👍 just prefer the faster R1 fb for sticky situations to the bit of extra armor that we (hopefully) won't need or the hit that I don't need bc of gear

I cant stand how shit frost nova and deep freeze feels, when frost nova has its own gcd.
It’ll feel better when you realize the new shatter combo is now two fold=nova:hardcast:deep freeze:hardcast:instant.

3% so you’re fine to move things around if you want things like faster frostbolt for r1 frostbolts

but man, I dunno about spellpower instead chrono even for the dps builds, it's been rough pvping without it for me personally.
Yeah, the clips in the video i was testing it out but tbh Missles is better with R1 frost bolts. Yeah you can also run Chrono depending on the situation. Tbh with those builds the idea is you stay at 41 yard range at the back and smash damage, to do the juicy 2k+ crits we need spell power but take chrono if you want mate thats fine

Def the best 1v1 build. Arcane aoe for stv and id say fire is better for battleground aoe

It's guaranteed as opposed to a chance. Also I prefer the heal myself.
Big crit damage rather than random proc, all are viable though but if you want the juicy 2k+ crits the spell power is essential

I got very frustrated because other classes got so much in terms of runes mages get killed quickly compared to classic especially by paladins and shadow priests
fire is just a joke in p3, the pyro deals 800 crit while the frostfire bolt deals 2k damages...
frostfire bolt spec in pvp is ass if you wanna make a difference. still liking arcane missles spec. waaaay better.
I don’t think it’s ass, they’re two different play styles but FFB is incredibly strong if played right

Fingers of frost doesn't rly do anything as it only procs when frostbite procs aswell. It's bugged.
Fingers of frost and frostbite proc off each other. Not just frostbite proc.
I was getting procs and helped to do huge FFB’s from 41 yards but I do feel like I don’t get many procs 😄
Yeah but you only have 15% for either both to proc at once or none. Which is a bit annoying if you ask me :)
I dont enjoy any mage spec at all. healer is kinda only spam 1 button. fire is like spam living bomb and wait for procc. frost is like hardcast 3 second for... nothing. as fire you go oom before you die, as frost you die before you go oom. as Frost I have 13% crit hardcast for 800 FFB while hunter pets do me 900 crits. 1on1 vs owl? I CS starfire, he brrrs me down with wrath spam. any other specs just dot me to death... idk... all this hardcasts suck so bad... i duel a warlock? he is meta. dot me. death coil me. GG counter to that? every 5min.
0:35 say that u dont have an understanding of mage pvp without saying that u dont have an understanding of mage pvp. overcapping on spellhit in pvp, no reduced fb casttime for r1 fb, no 5/5ignite for maximum ffb dmg….
3% hit is cap, as I said it’s an experimental build, we’re not going for r1 fb because the range is too short. At least watch the video before commenting rubbish. Thanks
