I just got the microkorg 2 for Black Friday been loving it ever since. I have a MPC live 2 and it’s the perfect pair for cooking up. Your demo was inspiring 🔥🔥🔥 keep up the good work !!!
12:19 "if you're producer who works in a daw, I don't see the point of using this" The point is to escape mouse and keyboard workflow by touching some knobs.
Generally, yes, but it has only 5 knobs, so you're still jumping around the different sections with the buttons, which, while not bad is a compromise, compared to a really "knobby" synth or a plugin, where access to the parameters is easier. It also introduces some inconveniences like having to bounce/record your parts to audio to use another sound from it. Also the small keys make it a bit uncomfortable for using it as a MIDI keyboard.
Nice to have an honest review that points at both the pluses and minuses. Sounds like KORG could have put a little more effort into this. Not having velocity sensitive presets is just laziness.
No synth is better than VSTs. I literally can't hear the difference between a real analog synth and a vst like from arturia. So I think that fun hardware synths are where it's at and the microkorg 2 is pretty fun.
Roland Gaia had a midi soundset. Gaia2 is more modern workflow. I cannot see the advantage over VST other than Mininova had: touring allrounder mini keyboard. But where are the artists using it live
Had the original Microkorg and the Microkorg-S both for a while but although there's some nice Korg-vibe to own these, i rather have full size (49keys) and Vst's in the end. I also did not like the outdated sounds knob too so i understand you fully! Also had the Korg-R3 for longer before selling, because it had those bigger keys. Why choose small keys just to build on the original is not smart! Pricing is way too high and far more options in other brands like N.I. or Arturia etc.

Oh for sure, it's a great little synth to pair with the MPC!
can use mokrokorg 2 as a midi controler?
@@mazyararyannejad5411 yes 👍

@ yes!!
This was a awesome video 🔥🔥🔥🫡🫡🫡🫡
Thank you so much!
2:57 -> this is exactly why I purchased the Move. Push was just too large and prevented me from using it + small keyboard.
True, it fits so nicely
I love synths and purchased the MicroKORG 2 as a holiday gift-to-self. Can't wait to find out how the f**k to use it, lol.
That's a great way to treat yourself. It's pretty easy to use, especially if you're just playing the presets.

Nice synth, I think it would be great if it has a General MIDI sound set for some old school vibes))
Agreed! It would complement it really well.

Hey, glad you found the review useful!
Not everyone makes music in a studio. On a live stage a hardware synth is much more convenient. And that's what the MicroKorg 2 is made for.
Yup, true.

Yup, totally agree!
Thank you for being honest brother.
Hey, I appreciate you watching fam!
The screen makes it at least useable on a budget, original was a pain.

Yeah, I'd get Gaia 2 over MicroKORG 2, same price but full size keys, much more knobby interface and USB audio functionality.
Mr g - funk.

@LowHeatBeats Thankyou for the channel format and one of the better sound & news sources out there! 💯
For the price point it checks a lot of boxes, but I think you save your pennies and pick up a Moog, like the grandmother for example.
That’s a VERY different synth through, doesn’t have much in common with the Korg.
Nice too much money for this little synth.
It’s pricy for sure, I guess the vocal effects add to the price too.
