      @ulysses_grant Flat out sprint means running as hard as you possibly can for as long as you can. Usually leaving you feeling like you're about to die from lung failure.

      @@androidgaming8431 Personally speaking, I'd say the main thing it did was make my lungs more efficient at handling air. There were definitely some improvement on the feet since I could see my feet grow, but I don't know enough about being a goalkeeper to know its effects there. It *might* help, but there are probably other ways aside from endurance running. Hope this helped.

    I did this for soccer practice except it was a track and we sprinted the straight 100m sections. Back then, I couldn’t say no to my coaches and was effectively forced to do everything they said. Let’s just say after doing these for a week straight I was able to hit a sub 5 minute mile and had unlimited stamina to play a full 90 minute game at any moment. This is the exercise that will condition you for any situation. Don’t underestimate it, find a partner and go at it.

    • @RatelHBadger
      @RatelHBadger 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +45

      We used to tag team these in highschool for field hockey. Played on almost identical sized fields. In groups of 5, and you just followed the person in front. So if you were on the walking leg you had the time it took someone else to sprint, plus the next guy behind you walking, to get to the other end, so you kind of wanted to power walk and give yourself a breather before the next guy caught up to you and off you went on the next sprint leg.

    • @MintRobin

      Unless you were already hitting 5m05s miles, then I'm calling it on this one. A week is no time for your body to adapt to a few sprints, that's not how physics works.

      @Screech032 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      @MintRobin Depends on the body tbh

    I run cross country and it’s my first year, however my 2nd season is about to begin, I joined late in the first one and this was the first workout we did. Our team calls it goal posts because he have to football fields right next to each other so we would jog from one goal post to the other and sprint the length of it. As a beginner coming fresh into something like this absolutely kicked my ass. I was gasping for air, and I was a fairly unathletic kid as I couldn’t even run under a 12 minute mile at this time. I would say I made pretty good progress though as I reach a 6:13 mile at the end of my track season as well. It’s still fairly slow and definitely improvement to be made, but so far my progress has soared. This is a great workout overall.

    To catch my breath and get rid of fatigue quickly during the match or practice, I take a big inhale until 90% of my lungs then take another inhale to fill my lungs to 100%. It helps to get rid of fatigue fairly quickly. It has become my favorite way of breathing instead of panting and bending over 😂

    We used to do this in football. “4 quarters” we would do the hypotenuse of the field or corner to corner. After you made your “X” that was one quarter and the whole purpose was to make it all four quarters without giving up cause you don’t wanna give up on your team in the middle of a game
