Exercise to Improve Speed, Stamina & Fitness

- Here’s an exercise that helps improve your speed, stamina and overall match fitness.
1. Sprint the length of a full sided field at maximum intensity.
2. Once you reach the end perform a slow recovery jog across the width of the field.
3. After jogging across the width, sprint the length again.
4. Finally turn and walk the width of the field to our start point. This will equal one full repetition.
Once you reach the start point repeat the entire sequence again. Be sure to Keep track of how many reps you complete and aim to improve slightly each workout. - กีฬา
Kudos to the cameraman. What a machine
I saw that too
On god 😂
Lmao
He’s in wheels
@@Michaelnonah he said he IS a machine. Not that he's ON a machine. 👍🏾😊

For the amount of muscle mass, he’s really covering ground fairly quick 🙌🏽

Yeah he’s definitely above average in terms of conditioning for his size

Excellent drill. What I like is that it has the 3 components of the game-spirinting, jogging and walking. I wii defintely incoporate into my team’s preseason training.
Thanks again.
Thanks!
How don’t you know this this is basics of the basics in the UK?
@@phantom8699
I don’t care about the UK. I like this running exercise..
@@phantom8699so what
Rip to the team 💀
I remember they had us doing this in PE class back in HS. I loved doing this, since you get a moment to have complete explosive sprinting, then a moment to rest and repeat.
"at this length you will begin to feel fatigued" my guys I am dead in first one
I can't even made it to the end of the 1st one 😢
I’m doing this for soccer considering that 99% of practice is running

*Football blud.
I’m an MMA fighter and this is my main source of cardio except I don’t walk after the second sprint I go back to a jog, it’s a great way to track your progress as if you can do 5 sets in your in good shape, 7-8 and your in excellent shape and are fit enough for a novice level fight and if you get up to 10 solid setts you have the cardio needed for a professional level 3 round fight
you use chest breathe or stomatch breath. because, then i had high stamina n speed, but now iam very weak and easy tired while running n doing something for long time

How many laps are in a set for this information you shared? I’m interested in getting to 10 sets of what you’re describing.
@@whocaresthanks 1 lap of the whole pitch is 1 set, Gabriel Varga has a video on it. I got it from him. I’ll link it below.
This is an interval type of training. Works with almost every sport. It increases your body’s ability to recover quickly as well
As someone who plays rb and b2b midfielder, this is absolutely gold for me
Done this, and one crucial note to bear in mind is that always stay in composure, dont throw your weight around mindlessly just to get the work done.. especially nearing the limit of your stamina, you'll almost definitely lose your form and this could cause improper stress placement on your knees and ankles which can cause long term injury
The cameraman need an oscar

We did a drill just like this in High School. You get a partner and as one person is sprinting around the outside of the field behind the goal the other jogs width wise across the middle and you meet/alternate in a never ending drill the way our coach ran it.
I'm incorporating this into my weekly practice. I got game tomorrow :)
To catch my breath and get rid of fatigue quickly during the match or practice, I take a big inhale until 90% of my lungs then take another inhale to fill my lungs to 100%. It helps to get rid of fatigue fairly quickly. It has become my favorite way of breathing instead of panting and bending over 😂
I learnt it from Dr Andrew Huberman :)
Ahh yes the classic 3 sets of 12 is an absolute must ‼️‼️
How many times per week?
@@Yung.prizlythis exercise type called (HIIT) it causes alot of fatigue to your nervous and muscular system so you need good rest to recover
Don’t do it more than 3 time a week in consideration you do normal sport activity ( moderate to light ) within the week
thank you so much for posting these videos. It’s helped me so much with my game, speed, skill, confidence and much more! Thank you so much!
Happy to help!
I guess he’s going to carry the boats
YOU DONT KNOW MEEEEE SONNNNNNNNN!
AND THE LOGS
This can also be done on a track. We do this in cross country. It’s called a light speed workout. If you wanna increase your distances, you can run a 200 hard and then jog a 100 and repeat. I personally love these kinds of workouts.
As a box to box midfielder, i just love your routine❤️
I will try the excerise when I am coming home from vacation. I hope I can do at least 1-2 complete round.
Let us know when you do em😊

No one will be able to guard me after this. Thank you.😮
legit, this is precisely what I did to increase my stamina
Bro is beefed as hell
Make sure you all warm up well. Sprinting on cold muscles will guarantee an injury.
Just increases the risk of injury but yeah definitely do a lap for warm up with some dynamic stretches to
Bold claim to say that it would guarantee an injury.
@@mustytasty4287 it happens.
@@CptCadoodles I never denied it wouldn't happen. I'm just saying that it's exaggerated. Have a nice day
Man the nostalgia. Had a couch who was a little too into cardio and we would do these every Practice. Unfortunately he didn't let us do the walking stretch. So just jog to sprints.
You're a machine! And your cameraman is an absolute beast!
Thanks for the tips! I'm just starting out running, will give updates on how effective it is
dude has very good sprinting form.
have you ever seen sprinters ? i don't think you have
Bro the cameraman 💀
I can never bring myself to do any real workout, but this was really fun to do.
This is very effective. When I did cricket, the coach made us run two rounds around the ground and then told us to jog slowly the third round. Those days I had good stamina and endurance.
Camera man is zooming
💪
Bro runs like a literal slenderman💀
My coach says give maximum of yourself and you need to give yourself a maximum rest beacuse thats a real 100% sprint...
💪💪
It's called fartlek training, I was blessed to have learnt this in my school when I was 8 years old and have since always used this in all types of training and events where endurance is needed in life.

What's wrong with his form? I think that might be how I sprint but idk
@@sunuy192chest is way too high.
Without getting sciency its just slower
Basically more wind resistance and the center of gravity is too far back to sllow him to reach his real max speed, a slightly more forward posture is better.
@@Phoenix77989 oh ok so lean upper body more forward?
I had never done it like that, but I do it the other way around, sprint width wise 80% and job in length. It has helped me get fit in two weeks.
I remember doing these in track, genuinely a great workout

Simply it's called THE SLOW FAST exercise ❤
Running seems an ancient, amazing skill to me ..😮
How many reps or sets atleast in your workouts?
try 5 reps for 3 sets 👍
@@afnanhisyamhussin2589 thank you man
I like 8 reps for 2 sets but that works to
You definitely don't improve speed without significant rest time between sprints.
With sprints no you want it to basically be a hit workout with just enough time to get your heart down into that comfortable 85-90% max is where I aim for
Before I watched this i already did this before and it actually worked even though my coach didn't approved of it it was still very effective keep it up❤❤
Oooh, been training for a week for futsal rn, guess this is where our coach learnt it from, he made us do this. It's great !
Very simple, run until your heart gives out. That’s how you become better.
Every like i get on this comment, i do 2 sit ups😤
Circuit or interval training is good for building strength and endurance. One that I was taught as a youth had a square of about 25 metre sides. It began with a walk, then a light jog, followed by long strides or 'stepping' and ended in a full sprint. Most beginners could not go beyond 5 sets intially. It was really effective for footballers seeking an edge over their opponents.
Damn I remember doing this years ago when I played for my city. Started out like this video and ended up with full sprints around the entire field by the end of the season. Really improved my conditioning.
Here's an exercise to improve your speed, stamina and fitness for football: stop pumping so much iron in the gym. That bulky physique is not ideal. Focus on mobility and speed over 5 yards, not 50
Best interval type of training, ultrarunner here.
Salute to the cameraman ❤❤
Who alao want to salute the cameraman
👇
Thank you brother
I recently joined football achademy and everybody tease me for speed stamina and fitness
Yup ! I used to do this without a real rhyme or reason but I noticed my speed and endurance skyrocketed
This is called HIIT. I used to do it in my middle school days using a timer just running across my Neighborhood early in the morning. My fav kind of cardio because it’s intense and best of all, 5-10 minute is enough
YOU RUN SO SMOOTHLY 😮💨
The guy in the vid:he is running so fast
Cameraman:💀
Reminds me of pre-season where coach would make this our warm-ups, with an expectation of at least 8-9 reps in 90 degree summer heat.
The cameraman should be the one showing us how to do it
Thanks now I can run a full 35 meters only getting a little tired also I only started increasing my stamina in 2023 so I'm slow 😄
Actually Kudos! And props to the Absolute Athletic Cameraman
Similar to how we train our cardio in boxing. A lot of high intensinity into low just like that, on and off so we can mimic the pace of a 3 minute round in a fight. Really builds you up well over time
You run like The T-1000 from 1991 sci-fi action film Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
Great Style. Inspiring !
mad respect to the cameraman. he is a machine
Amazing drill . Thank you for the drill. Now I can train myself better
That was so simple and easy to understand thank you for helping

Captain America: Dude that still a long way to go
Cameraman always ahead of everyone but never gets enough credit
Thanks man ❤❤❤ will be doing this and will make you updated about my weight loss, stamina, speed
Gave award to cameraman 🙌🪖✊✨
The cameraman is always the fastest
we did almost the same in the youth, only difference we sprintet diagonal across the field and jogged the width, our coach called it the roman ten X we started smaller and as we grew older we began to enlargen the marked zones until we reached the whole field
Props to the camera man for keeping up with him
Damn I remember these I should start doing them again
The cameraman… A humongous amount of respect.
Great,thank you
I did the same few days ago now I will try doing it everyday
Camera man never dies
cameraman was more faster than him
When you say the word “recover” make sure to really nail that “c” sound for maximum recovery effect
thanks for advice will try it
Respect to the cameraman
Good thing I do this either way while I’m on a run
Just watching that takes my breath away
This just sprint training! Solid
If i see this man sprinting at me like that i will give him anything i have and become his student
Legend says he's still sprinting to this day
