Thank you for noting them down!!
Great breakout!
i have been looking at a lot of 100m and 200m races and what I have noticed between all the winners is their stride height. This video visually represents what I have been seeing over the years. I ran track in the 90’s and information like this was only around if you have a GOOD trainer. I will pass these trick onto my son so that he can do what i never could. Break the 10s in the 100m and 20 in the 200m. Thanks Noah for the inspirational videos to help guide our future champions into greatness
yes, the height you bring your knees is an indicator of how much force you’re putting into the ground, when you’re being powerful and intentional in the way you’re striking the ground(assuming your hips are open & flexible) then your knees will come higher naturally which allows them to come down with more force
@@cwynn4802 this is a more modern approach but it is not true for everybody. Look at M.Johnson, no high knees and still very fast
@@soapenvelope Well if you run very fast, trained your whole life, and is a pro at what you do then don’t need to do high knees but since most of us have not trained our whole life’s, and are pros so high knees will help you in the long run with proper form.
Great video! I would also love to see a video of the exercises that you do in the weight room for sprinters.
Don’t think he gonna do that cause he said( in a old deleted video)that he doesn’t film a lot weight room training because he doesn’t want anyone to injure himself.
I d say start sprinting with some weighted vest I'll start with at least 15% of your body weight
Sled pushes and pulls. Run with parachute. Resistance band runs.
These will build acceleration, power and speed.
Weight room- Nordic raises, deadlifts, squats, Bulgarian split squats, lunges, reverse hypers.
All great sprinters
I'm a Strength coach starting to sprints. For exercises that carryover, I'd recommend Quarter Squats, lunges/split squats, and Nordic curls or hamstring machine for hamstrings.
As recommended above Sled push, drag (backward) is also useful.
Straightforward explanation, fantastic form, a relaxed manner and no preaching or droning on makes this video an exceptionally enjoyable watch. Thanks heaps!
Your explanation really brings clarity to the way these drills are performed.
The production and the quality of your videos are 🔥
Music is too loud 😮
Thank you for this video! Turns out I’ve been doing 80% of my drills incorrectly 😂 but now it’s time to correct them!
same
:O
Thanks for sharing your warmup routine of drills with us. Great breakdown for each one also.
Bro you seem like such a good genuine guy. I love that being the best hasn’t gotten to your head. I admire you.
Gratitude Noah, nothing but gratitude to you for sharing your knowledge. Let's go!
Has a jamaican, I declare this guy ,has 1 of my favourite 200m sprinter ,I love erriyon knight has will , but Noah lyles is the price of the 200m. Am looking forward for the rivalry , between the 2 of them this season.but The prince of the 200m Noah lyle will come out on top .no doubt in my mind.
Coming from the future, I have to say that you were right.
amazing Noah and so proud of you!! Humble hard working and a great teacher ...
Thank you so much Noah, I really appreciate everything u do!
Thank you so much for sharing these perfectly executed drills Noah Lyles. Can’t wait to see more of your content. You are a legend.
Very helpful hints to take away. The fact that you have produced this kind of video has earned my respect both as an athlete and a personable character.
This is fantastic. Exactly what I'm looking for as I get back to sprinting. Thanks!
Thanks a lot, Noah! Keep sharing! Every second of your video is precious!
This is so awesome, thank you! I will be watching this so many times to absorb all the cues and principles that you shared in 10 minutes. And love how relaxed and fun you are with the whole video, I'm sure you'll grow this audience if you decide to keep this up
Hands down, I bet this is the best drill videoe you can find in youtube so far in terms of how to do it and why it should be done that way. His explanation, smooth exhibition "by himself", and the sharp tips of how each drill should look like is so clear to see. There are other videos with more comprehensive set of drills or a good progression of each drill but this one definitely focus on how to practice it.
I’m so in awe of you Noah! I think you’re the GOAT of your generation! I watched your TH-cam movie and the movie on Peacock with my kids and my 3 year old said he would like to be you when he grows up! Keep doing what you’re doing ! I am praying for you to beat the WR!! I hope to meet you one day! You are truly “sensational” ! Can’t wait to watch you in Paris next year !
Thank you so much!
I’ve been doing b skips with a kick out. Really glad I found this video. You’re a beast Noah!
What a competent and cool guy. Thx for sharing. 🔥🔥
This is the ultimate course on Sprinting Drills and form. Thanks for sharing!!
You are the man Noah! Thanks for the tips!
Such a privilege to learn from a champion. It was like being with your pal enjoying your training session at the track.
Thank the lord for this video Ive been waiting years for a solid warmup that I can remember before I sprint.
Perfectly presented in an easy to understand format!
This video is amazing. Short, concise, easy to understand, no condescending. This is worth so much to access it as a free resource is crazy thank you
Dude what a video! Amazing practicing and how easy is your explanation, everytime I see Noah I get more fan of him! Cheers buddy!
Thank you so much. This is wonderful. I started running sprints by myself 15 years ago. I'm now in my 60s. I will implement some of this. Thanks again.
Awesome video! Not only is Noah a phenomenal athlete, he is an amazing teacher and coach!
Thank you Noah 😊 this video change my whole life around .
Incredible form Noah. Thank you for sharing your skills.
Hank you, Noah! I‘m 51 and I wished someone would have explained these drills to me like you did back in my youth. Keep it up, man 💪
I really appreciate the time you take to explain each drill. It's great to see how professionals perform them. The tip you give about doing straight leg toe-taps to set up some of the variations for Fast Legs was especially helpful. Thanks!
Your fitness achievements are a testament to your hard work and discipline.
💪💯
You a real one bro. I’m inspired on how you made it look easy. More power
Big thanks for this!!! Excellent breakdown!!! Just finished 2nd year coaching middle school track with my wife! Will incorporate the few drills I just learned next year.
Youre doing great stuff for the sport bro keep it up! Youre my favorite athlete across all sports!
Thank you so much for these videos Noah! Love this
Great video!! Thank you Noah for taking the time to create such high quality content.
This is really well presented. Thank you for sharing this.
Many amateur sprinters don't have access to coaches, and it is inspiring to get these pointers from the fastest human being alive over the 200m distance!
What I’m most pleased about is I used to do the majority of these 20 years back when I did track seriously. Great drills never get old I guess. Awesome video and very well presented
Noah,
These are great drills and you have a fantastic teaching style. Your attention to the details of tempo, force generation, foot strike location and injury avoidance are so very helpful. Thank you so much.
This is gold, loving the drills! and man, you deserve more than a 100k subs 💯
Oh man thanks! These are probably the exact points I needed for these drills. These drills always look so simple to those who know how to do them properly, but when you first try them out it feels goofy at best and maybe even painful at worst [especially B Skip]. Your ability to articulate the main points of these drills into smaller and easier to digest steps is awesome!
looking forward to trying these
Awesome video! Very easy to understand. Thank you! 👍
Thanks, You are a great teacher and videos are clear to be able to listen I will be now looking for more thank you.
THANK YOU NOAH ALWAYS THE BEST
Thank You Sir this knowledge is gold! I'm very blessed to learn from you. Noah Lyles the Olympian!
I love this breakdown Noah. Hopefully I can use it to inspire my kids
Thank you Noah for sharing this with us; I ran track all four years in high school and now I have a 6 year-old daughter who loves running and is gifted with speed. I just watched this video, and then re-watched with my daughter-and she loved it!
I remember a lot of my plyometric drills from HS. Though my daughter is still young, I plan to model these drills for her so that she can implement them in her training over time.
Thank you champ. You're an amazing technician.
Thank you, Lyles, for these drills. More wins for you.
What an interesting interview. This helps older peeps… Like me! Ha! As a track guy in my youth as the 400 was my thing… this would have been value during my time, but receiving this now is still golden. As for you, please stay well & safe plus build that strengthening GOLD & this fan will continue to clap for your glory.
Yesss this is what we need I have been so stuck on how to warm up, so thank you sooo much
Noah lyles you are my best role model. You are one of the people that has inspired me
Thanks for the tips Champ! Good Luck on breaking the 200m WR I'll be cheering you on as always, I'm ready for your next diamond league meeting

Excellent Noah Lyles
Lyles isn't stupid.
he's only giving away the basics.
His top-tier secrets he's not sharing. Best believe that.
Thank You Noah! This is it ❤️
Thanks Noah! You rock!
Thank you Noah, great personality!
Work of art
Great video and description of each drill.
Thanks for the vid Noah man really appreciate it bud there was 1 or 2 drills that i never knew the name off or knew exactly how to do em but i do now thanks to you ;) best of luck in your career mate i'll be cheering for you 😎
Thanks for sharing your workout routine and best of luck to you. I'm 67 and now I compete as a master for 60 and 100-meter sprints. I started competing a couple of years ago because my son is so fast. I couldn't settle with sitting around with the other parents at track meets. He should make the D2 nationals this year. I'll subscribe!
This is absolutely priceless!!!!!!! Much love!! And thank you
I'm a high school student in Japan. Your content is amazing! I'm looking forward to watching the amazing races at the Paris Olympics! I'm not good at English, but I'm cheering for you from Japan!
Hey Noah! Great vid, thanks for sharing
Mannnn. Great video. Trying to teach kids and this helps. Thank you.
Yooo Noah!
I was one of the volunteers at Budapest. (I worked at the medal plaza’s background) and of course watching you compete and win 3 times lit up something in me.
I’ve always enjoyed running and competeing in various sports, but after the World Championship, I wanna improve on my 400.
Soo, soon i’ll use the knowledge that I can extract from the videos you made to get better. Meeting you was a great experiece, I’ll use it as fuel to be better.
All the best in the future! 🙏🏻💪🏻
Thank you so much, this is going to be useful for my daughter practicing her running skills!!
Great stuff that is explained so well. Very helpful 👍
A great sprinter of all time
Never been a fan of American sprinters, but you, Noah are such a great athlete. In my humble opinion, you have a beautiful sprinting technique. It looks as if it's effortless.
So valuable!!! Thanks, please keep making more videos.

It looks like a magic trick watching your leg do the drills. This is an incredible display of skill.

I’m trying to take my sprinting in my sport of rugby to next level. Thank you for taking the time to explain the A, B, and C skips! I’ve been looking for a detailed video like this for over six months. No one else can teach the A & B skips better than the fastest man in the world. ❤
Thank you for this....we Needed this Video
Thanks Noah! I am a new High School coach at a private school near Burbank Calif. The program is very low and I was bought in to resurrect it. I was a coach in the 90's and was looking for new fresh ideas and drills. I have followed your career for a few years and am excited about all your drills. I am incorporating them into my warmup routine for my kids. I have some talented football players coming out and it looks like my short relay will be good. Keep the videos coming! I'm a former 800meter runner at UCLA and Santa Monica Track Club during the 80's. I trained with the great Johnny Grey.
Noah Lyles is my most admired sprinter. He's so courageous and talented.
Great video man! Thank you.
Thank you Noah for this it really help❤️
