    Get some bark busters. Those plastic hand gaurds are worthless in a crash.

    5’7?? God bless you, more proof that the size of a bike doesn’t matter. I’m 5’11 and have the RP, that big gas tank doesn’t help the top heavy feel. I absolutely love mine, the best bike I’ve ever owned. Had about 15 including Harley’s

    Congrats Jesse , good videos. I have one question. Why did you choose Rally Explorer instead Rally Pro? 20l Tank, seems much easier for off road routes!. I´m tihinking about it. Cograts again and VSSSS from Spain!

      I wanted more range for when I commute to work or long distance. That was the biggest reason. Thanks for the comment and support Rafa!

    I too have a Rally Explorer, I shall definitely add the extra little bits as well, but Ive gone one better mate! well two actually a GPS mount for Garmin Zumo XT from Italy and a Sherpa Electric winch, (No manual labour for me only first class!!)

    At 5’7” can you back it up sitting on it? Can you set the suspension so it lowers more than when you sit on it turned off?

    • @jesseonamotorcycle
      @jesseonamotorcycle  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s very difficult to walk it backwards while sitting on it because I’m on my tip toes. Also, I don’t believe the suspension automatically lowers when the bike is on or off. The suspension does automatically change when you put it in different modes.

    Sweet bike man!! I'm getting the 900 Rally Pro soon .

      Awesome! You can’t go wrong with the 900. They are priced very well and are still sick bikes! Congrats!

    Dear Jesse, If you are realy going for offroading, please switch to soft paniers. Just to avoid injuries to yourself when you go down .
    I would get some sturdy crash bars aswell, not the Triumph factory ones cause they are just for estetics. Same goes for the engine plate...way to tin to give protection.

    • @jesseonamotorcycle
      @jesseonamotorcycle  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are absolutely right Triskel, this riding wasn’t too bad, any more aggressive I would leave the hard panniers at home for sure and bring the soft bags or a backpack. Thank you for the kind comment and thanks for watching.

      Just an FYI, The Triumph guards are the real deal. I went down on a previous Tiger HARD and not a scratch.

      @@ttrguy9952 I changed mine to hepcko & becker solid ones. The new tigers don't come with sturdy ones believe me.

      @@jesseonamotorcycle I don't think he'll be able to, Hepco doesn't make anything for our RE yet. I bet he's referring to the 900, which has known issues, especially for the top bars. I haven't seen anyone post any issues on the 1200 bars being as fragile, but the bikes so new hard to tell.

    Why triumph not honda Africa twin or bmw gs

    • @jesseonamotorcycle
      @jesseonamotorcycle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I couldn’t find a Honda in my area and I decided to go with Triumph over BMW because of the 3 year unlimited mileage warranty triumph provides. A part of me wishes I went with a BMW but I’m really happy with the The Tiger at the moment.

    Curious @jessie how top heavy does the rally explorer feel to you? I have heard comments so mixed as to be completely useless....

    • @jesseonamotorcycle
      @jesseonamotorcycle  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s very top heavy. Something to consider for sure.

      @Jesse On A Motorcycle have you compared to a gsa by any chance?
      I have been trying unsuccessfully to get the free time to do that myself, just been to busy lately.

    • @jesseonamotorcycle
      @jesseonamotorcycle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dancarlin5434 yes I actually did and the BMW felt so much lighter just because the weight was more down low compared to the Tiger. Thanks for watching and commenting. Hope this helps.

    Jesse - While the shipping sucks, you might want to take a look at Evotech Performance. They have a number of accessories for the RE. I've got front and rear spindles from them as well as the handle bar guards that work with the factory plastic deflectors. If you don't want the guards, they also make a set of bar end weights to help with vibrations. Also have other stuff for GPS etc.
