My company wont make me a foreman. Even tho i drive the truck, do the work, and show up everyday and am liked by many. Still no respect because they dont want to pay me a foremans salary. Yet there are guys younger then me i have to listen to everyday, build patios run stoneyard still no promotion. After 5 years laborer and trainee. They make excuses like they dont have enough trucks but i know its because the company doesnt want to help me grow up and out of their malarke. Anybody else have these problems or is it just me..
Hey mate, I had the same issue. I went through a sponsorship (working visa) here in Australia, all the way from general labouring to forklift driver, traffic controller, crane operator, managing labours and after 7 years in the same company I was working as assistant of the defects manager. The problem was the same: only more work but payment remained the same through all the years. The situation only changed when I decided to leave. Applied for a few jobs and was hired just a couple of weeks ago now as a leading heading - trainee for foreman. I nearly doubled my salary and I have the support from the site manager and directors of this new company. I’m on the right place now and they value my work. So my advise is, if you’re not happy and you have the option to change, DO IT. The right company will too value your hard work. Good luck! 💪🏼

How can I teach them to do the task properly the first time? I have an issue of wanting to do everything myself and not letting them do it. How can I get better at this?
Teach them how you would like it. Start them off with small task. Check on them and start building trust with them. You have to trust the guys you work with. If not, they have to go.
How to be a goos foreman? Know your f'n job and don't discriminate, period.
Ok a guy who looks like a white collar guy telling a blue collar guy how to work. Got it. Why not use a real foreman to educate you on being a foreman.. why did i even watch this
