If you live in Canada you might as well get your tower or mobile crane license in Ontario so you can receive your RED SEAL. Apparently you can't work in Ontario if you don't have your red seal ticket 😮

I am a tower crane operator myself and have been running heavy equipment for 27 years. With the right motivation and direction you can accomplish anything you want even if it’s to run a tower crane. Does the operator need to assemble the crane?

No!
Only those can assemble the crane who has the matching education for the crane assembling, so as a crane operator your only thing to do is check your crane everytime before you start to work on it, and sometimes a little maintenance-only on the places where its safe, you cant do electric maintenance because it is other peoples job.
