Great Video Jim!! I attempted this a few weeks back in cloudy weather and ended up way off track and down climbed part of North Buttress. Will def be back to give it another go soon...on a clear day lol ATB

Personally I prefer to ascend just round the otherside of the 'Rannoch Wall' called the 'North Buttress' and using 'Curved Ridge' for the descent; some people find it a wee bit nail biting in places so I suggest, if you are taking any newbodies with you or others that might cack it when given a bit of exposure, take a short safety rope just in case. Chances are you won't require it but if my memory serves me correctly there is one little move half way down on the descent of 'curved ridge' which can be dodgy, especially when damp, and you might need to sacrifice a 'nut' protection as there is no way of retrieving it after you are down, but it's worth it cause the descent via the tourist route (Coire Na Tulaich path) takes all day and is boring to boot.
Well done guys. Would love to try that route but too jelly leg for me. Same goes for the Annoch ridge. Mamore's are great and looking forward to doing the western side ones to get them finally bagged.
There was one point I looked back and though .. WTF am I doing. Just one! Lots of +ves. Mind over matter and all that! It was the perfect day for that walk and the mamores and the Ben really caught the eye. I have RIng Of Steall to do and also to catch Binnean Beag
Cracking video of one of my favourite scrambles. What camera did you use? Crazy you could zoom all the way into that dragonfly. By the way I think it was eating a horsefly :)
Just remember that beer you had in the air conditioned pub afterwards, Jim. Lol! People not on the mountains have to worry about politicians, perhaps midges are designed to make up for the pain in the arse that politicians are when you are on the mountains and don't read the newspaper or watch TV. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000E IIRC or possibly the 2000 model that I have now. Its amazing zoom on it.
