I played during the Akroma time and even then a foil Akroma was worth a pretty penny :D. It was THE kiddie card every kitchen table 6th grader wanted :D.
Kozilek was never expected to be an inexpensive card. Original foil Aroma is the all time iconical master piece. One may expect it below $100 but never in a dollar bin.
The moment I heard you said foil Legions Akroma is worth a lot I just realized that I own a foil Legions Phage the Untouchable and for some reason I've never bothered to check her prize... until now. Thanks for reminding me. Time to dig her up I guess 🤣
Like the series, really really dislike the circle that enlarges the text. Makes it impossible to read during the explaination. I would perfer just enlarging the card in the center of the screen.
A lot of CN2 and Battlebond foils had huge multipliers -True-Name Nemesis and Najeela had insane foil multipliers, both have come down a bit but I remember TNN was over $200 in foil. EDIT: True Name Nemesis foil at its highest was $500! Najeela, the Blade-Blossom was $150 Sevala has a Foil Multiplier of 28.89x and right below $400
Around a year after I first started magic I got handed down some cards and most of them were from onslaught and like sets around that time frame. And thats when I realised how much some of the foils can be
The first rare I ever pulled out of a booster pack was a foil Visara the Dreadful from Onslaught. A mate of mine has a foil Legions Akroma. I doubt he'd ever sell it though.
i just checked the value of my old card and stumbled over my foil undead warchief and was surprised about the value xD 1 week later i find this video ^^
Old foils are cool, but have you seen Seventh Edition foil prices? Birds of Paradise is worth 2000 Euros. That is not a typo. Most of the other good cards in Seventh Edition are worth hundreds, even some commons like Counterspell and Duress.
The graveyard shuffle of some eldrazi and other cards is actually a penalty. It is so you can not reanimate them. You see it a lot more in modern cards.

I found at my mothers place sometime ago: one dream halls, 2 phyrexian altars, 2 metalworkers and 3 Rhystic studies. I was so happy. :-)

When you mentioned your dad's collection, I was expecting the video to be about sets like Fourth Edition or Mirage. Damn, I'm old.

Agreed, it's just a downgrade from the typical way cards are displayed in videos.
Nice and interesting video that made me look up the price for my foil Sylvan Safekeeper from Judgement and I was not let down (quite the opposite).
This was great I just put several violent outbursts in decks, the foils are very expensive for a common, nuts. Thanks
Akroma was played in Vintage in Oath of Druids. And a lot of vintage players liked to foil out their deck
This is a cool concept for a series. I like it!
Thank you for your support!
I fully agree!

I was just buying cards and getting into pauper and snuff out really surprised me with how expensive it is
I was pretty happy when I got a Kozilek from the List in a set booster a few months ago !

True but the keen eye'd players knew right away it protected the yard from exiling.
You should look at your dad's tokens too. There's some old tokens that sell for a surprising amount.
Drop a video of his dads collection!
My rat commander deck runs 20 Relentless Rats. Lol
Great video ✌✌
