Your review was right on and I know many people don't use it this way, but it's the best sprint trainer for the track I've ever used. Heel strikers and slow runners won't get the full benefit of this shoe. There is a definite sweet spot in the forefoot, great for sprinters.

My problem with Hoka is that they are very narrow in the toebox.

You know, I always thought that I had really narrow feet growing up. But lately I’m beginning to wonder if my feet are just average because I also find that the Hoka shoes feel snug. That’s why I had to go a half size up on these. But in this case it was also because of the length.
