- My 2002 GMC Sierra Duramax diesel truck headlights badly need to be replaced so decided to go LED with the Spyder projector v2 headlight LED light Bar. For the hyper flash, I installed a LED flasher relay that does under your steering wheel. Made it much easier than wiring in resistors

where is that relay located? Steering wheel or under the dash? I have an '05.

Third solution for the hyperflash: they make replacement relays for LED bulbs. Much easier than in-line resistor and no heat on a resistor that you might have to worry about

On the light fixture yes I did was there are 3 small screws on the back were the conector is you can screw tight or loos the screws an them tight the small screws.. if you ever need to help you on the moisture help..
The move that I did was from bottom light fixtures to the top 🔝 light fixtures.. lol more faster an easier an safe
Can I make the drl flash with the turn signal? If so how? I plan on doing it myself for the first time just don't want to mess anything up

How do you adjust the high beams
You can get an LED fuse so you dont need the resistors
Shoulda tapped into the DRL, it looks good with those just on in a gloomy day
And then they won't work at night. Can't win
Use sylvania they have the resistors built in
New headlights looks on the GMC. I see you have dual batteries what batteries are you running ?

Instead of resistors, put an led compatible flasher relay.

How are those HB4 and HB3 led kits holding up? I remember the early after market hid's would burn up in a matter of months or weeks sometimes.
I just sold the truck recently but they worked really well

Did the headlights get any moisture inside with the wobbling high beam bulb, really want to know because I’m think of buying those.
So far no issues with the headlights and super happy with them.

Thanks for the video. I have a 06 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4X4. We have Spyder lights just like yours coming in tomorrow. How are yours holding up? I think I may silicone around the housing for added insurance.
Mine have been holding up good so far with no issues
How do you like the headlights?
@@summitwhite_lb7 I like them. Way brighter then stock. My only gripe is when adjusting the beam angle you have to remove the headlight.

I did the exactly what you did wiring the cable but my tube lights didn’t turn on is there something I could have done wrong?
You might have a defective unit. I’d reach out to Spyder about warranting it.
Were these brighter than the stock lights? They look awesome but seem fainter?
They are brighter but a little more fainter on the side of the road. The stock seem wider like a flood light but didn’t have the same distance as these

Can the led tubes be wired to the DRL lights instead so there on all the time?
I have seen people do it so I’m sure you could but then at night time the tube lights won’t be on just as a fyi

I had upgraded to another truck last year but they held up pretty good for the time I owned them.

@@nebula4798 not in the spyder headlights but I did get a little bit in the drl/turn housing which was non spyder brand.
What’s the bulb sizes for the turn signal, side marker and drl?

Where you get the splice from that’s the only thing I need
I got them from Ace hardware but any hardware store should have them. The link to them is in this videos description btw
I just ordered these lights but the turn signal assembly is different from yours even though I clicked your link. Yours has a crystal design over the far right bulb. The ones in the link must be a newer generation or something because they are completely clear. I like yours a lot more but I don't think I have any other choice from Akkon unless I go with the clear with amber. That sucks but either way it'll look better than what I have now. My daytime running bar does not light up. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? I connected the negative to the negative and the positive with positive wires by using the T tap splicers.
Did you tap into your parking lights?
Can i tap the led wires into my daytime running lights so the led strip will stay on when im in drive and not just park?
I don’t see why not. They just won’t be on at night when your drl switch to headlight mode
Parking lights are also referred to as marker lights, they are not lights that go on while your vehicle is in park position. You definitely want to tap the parking/marking lights. Like OP said, DRL will only come on in daylight.
How much did these cost? I see the "spyder" ones for like 450, or the "akkon" ones that look the exact same for half the price

I don't really like the look of LED lights. Can I use a regular halogen bulb with these headlights? I like the Sylvania Silverstar Ultra that I have in the stock headlights- I just hate the pattern of the OEM.
Absolutely you can use reg halogen bulbs with these.
