    • @GLifeUTV
      @GLifeUTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I prefer to run them in parallel.. so for example if u were adding 3 switcs to the center console.. 1 power wire or 1 ground turns into 3 power and 3 grounds. One for each switch.

    Hey, great video! As someone who’s new to the SXS stuff, I’ve really enjoyed the videos you put out! One thing to keep in mind with wiring gauge, if you go thinner on the wire you want to make sure to calculate wire length, amperage and wire gauge. Too much amperage for a given length of wire will cause the wire to heat up and can be an issue.
    With the 5A fuse, I’m sure you’ll be fine - but I would double check and make sure that the fuse is the weakest link (in terms of amperage) and not the wire itself, otherwise the wire will burn up before that fuse ever blows. Nonetheless, I’m sure 18G wire is fine for this length at under 5A.
    Looking forward to more videos!

    • @GLifeUTV
      @GLifeUTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      U are absolutely right. But this video would me 10 mins longer trying to explain amperage draw to correct guage wire and fuse. .. 5 amp is definitely safe for 18guage wire at 12v

      @@fishslayersocal9345Happy easter bro. Rip to ur pops... Its alot of work to wrap, and a real pain in the butt. Also if u ride in rocky/gravel terrain expect to have to repair some spots from time to time. Also i recommend using edge sealer on all edges and make sure they are completely sealed or they will peel. Also all the textured plastics need to be treated first. Using a heat gun. Heat them until the plastics turns dark. Just don't over due it and melt it.. it is alot of work. Best would be have a wrap company make you a wrap if u want flames or go paint. Good luck bro🤙

I recently got the files for some boxed a arms so I’m going to cut them out on my cnc and do some tig action will see how they turn out I’ll shot you some pictures once I fab them it’s going to be a prototype for now and I’ll tweak on them hopefully it will be a hit. Ok so I’m stuck here I’m trying to wire in my soundbar with a 4 pin rocker switch made by dragonfire.
    I got a pigtail for my busbar and it’s got three wires.. power, ground, and accessory.
    I have my power running to 30 on my 40amp relay with an inline fuse 15a. After landing on 30 it goes to pin 2 on my rocker switch for 12v from the battery
    I have the ground, 85 on the relay, ground from the soundbar itself, and pin 7 grounded
    I have the power from the soundbar running to the 87 on the relay
    I lastly do not know what to do with the accessory wire off the pigtail, the 86 on the relay, and pins 8 and 3 on the rocker switch.
    Any help is appreciated

    Nice video, but one question. With all the accessories you have why 'you install a fuse block and relay switch to help protect everything. I only ask because I am trying to figure out how I should do wiring for light bar and USB port. I also have angle eye headlights and a chase light on a 202 polaris RZR 900. I am confused as to when to install a fuse block and relay. Thanks

    • @GLifeUTV
      @GLifeUTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The power coming out of the switchs can directly power low amp draw items like rock lights, dome lights, whips.. on higher draw lights like light bars, pods, air pumper, soundbar. The power coming out of these switchs can be used as a (control circuit) to control a relay for those higher draw applications. Ur angle eyes can be directly powered as well as the usb port.. but the light bar should have a relay for the higher output. Although some of these switches are rated for 20-25amps. I wouldnt trust in them to carry that kinda of power and also the wire guage i show in this video is not sufficient for high draw applications

    So the blue or white trigger wire would use a butt connector to the power wire coming from the whip… and the other wire coming from the whip also goes to the neutral on the buss bar?

    • @GLifeUTV

      Yes for a low draw device like a whip u could directly power the whip. And the negative from the whip would go to ground

    Personally I like to use midi fuse's over spade fuses there much more reliable, the only down side is they are more expensive but in the end spending a little more money on a fuse is worth it.

    I have 2 small LED lights on the frt of my Polaris currently on a 3 prong switch such as you showed early on in your vid. Can I use these 5 prong switches to light the LED's without a relay. I had to use a relay on the Reverse LED's due to the lights still on dimly when the SxS was running. This is due to the SxS supplying constant power on the reverse circuit and it's a switched ground. I could put it on the keyed circuit but you'd need to have the key on to use, since I don't have an accessory setting on my Ignition I have to have the bike on the run position which causes the injectors to cycle etc which can be harmful if done too many times.

    • @GLifeUTV
      @GLifeUTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are rated for 20amp. So potentially yes you can. As long as you leds dont draw over that. I would say that you will have to use thicker guage wiring tho if you will be directly powering led pods.
