Officer Steve encountered Noel in the driveway. Despite repeated commands, 52-year-old Raymond Noel entered the residence and refused to comply. As Officer Steve opened the door to confront him, gunfire erupted. Both men were injured-Noel struck in the torso by police fire and Steve saved by his bulletproof vest. Noel was charged with attempted aggravated murder, attempted aggravated assault upon a police officer, and criminal possession of a weapon (2nd). He was found guilty in November 26, 2024. A judge sentenced Noel, to 35 years to life in prison for the shooting.

Didn't you ever see the comedy skit where the brass was wondering why all their black soldiers were getting shot during battle and the one guy explains that when somebody yells 'Get Down!" they all jump up and start dancing?
It's a cycle that repeats over and over again. It's either DUMB black folks not following orders or white officers making excessive use of force. Being on any side of the table makes it hard to know if the person on the other side is one of the ones I mentioned due to both cases being very common. A lot of tension
The real problem is the people that can handle that mentally are usually older and usually too old to go be a rookie cop. A 20-year-old cop who's so full of adrenaline and ego is not really what we need on the streets. We need people in their 40s who have lived their life and don't take everything personally. But unfortunately at that age you're either smart enough to not want to be involved in it or physically can't do it. It's one of the sins of aging.

They couldn't pay me enough money to deal with this chaos everyday! The "I'm too old for this shit" was the ultimate statement.
