Both homeless guys probably knew each other and pretended to act out a hostage situation because they thought it would make the cops leave. Obviously didn't work.
Wrong, the guy clearly did not want to die and if an officer discharged their weapont hey could have easily struck the victim. Also, continuing to antagonize the guy with the weapon could have easily led to him using the weapon on the victim, like he said he would during the incident. There were multiple reasons why the victim would want the police to back off. Educate yourself.

Thank you for your patience and saving the hostage. And the Suspect had a lot of chance to obey. It seems that saying back up for hundreds of times doesnt solve anything.
Patience ??!! Really !! 10 min before firing...Wow that's the art of negociation in USA I guess..
@@paulmartinez3084 oh Paul do you feel bad for criminals that get what they deserve?

Rumour has it that the cop to this day is yelling "drop the knife" repeatedly in his sleep
"You're not that good of a shot"
It turns out he was, in fact, that good of a shot.
everybody is that good of a shot from a foot away
@@jingato that’s all it took to do the job

Dude was like my dad is going to sue the entire police department then cries like a child wanting to be saved. I would've left after he said he would sue.
@@jingatoThat was a few feet away but, yeah, not that far away. More important is that if you’re not good under stress, you can miss even from that close just from nervousness. The stupendous tactic here was to go inside and trick him like that. If he’s dead, no chance of getting off on low or no bond and murdering someone the next time around.
The only thing worse than an insane hostage taker is is a hostage that's making it harder on the police.
"You're not that good of a shot" challenge accepted
The officer with the AR inside, you deserve a medal. Let him open the door, just thinking off all the reasons why that was genius level intelligence, so he knew it was creeping and didn’t feel threatened that an office was opening it, probably saved that man’s life.
???
The bloodstain on the door swinging open after the shot was classic.
Great job everyone! Thank you for your service.
Took 6 minutes, lost many early opportunities....40 fuckin times yelling drop the knife. Cornering and swarming hostage taker with way too many cops increasing likelihood hostage taker panics. Only luck made this succeed. Great job you say? Moron.
CVPD deserves a care package this was amazing work on planning through the situation and prevented any harm to the hostage
Legend has it that you can still hear "Back Up!" at that stairwell
I call BS. The "hostage" was in on whatever was going on. Way too vocal.
This guy needs an award for most annoying hostage lol
Jeez this is like 20-30 mins away from me respect to all the officers who put their lives on the line for our safety
I was surprised this happen in the neighborhood. Immediately recognized the bus yard from the map
Why did the hostage get arrested?
yup Cholo Vista foo
The question is can you defend your house, if the police isnt around..
Just imagine if it were like 10-15 mins away from you, you would basically be scarred by it
the "hostage" was in on the act.
Ya think
yeah thats why they dogpiled him once he was freed
Criminals should be in prison, not given chance after chance after chance. Obviously they aren’t going to change any time soon.
Cant imagine what those two were doing there under the cover...
Right...They were "boys"

No, shit like this happens everyday around the country. News just doesn’t show it because it goes against the current narrative.
Police have always been doing a great job. Our media just chooses to show the negative side rather than the heroic parts of police. Don’t trust mainstream media.
Minus Uvalde. That entire station needs a house cleaning. Our Nashville PD took care of the children murdering tranzy in 15min. Who knows how many more children and adults the tranzy would of killed, were not for the QRF of the NPD.
Amazing work Officers! I cannot fathom the fear of being in that situation, let alone being able to execute such quick thinking!
excellent work
4:22 This hostage is HIGH AF
then at 6:35 he says "HES THE CEO OF MCDONALDS" 💀
Rumor has it the hostage got clean, called and begged his father for a job as a fry guy after his buddy got a COD headshot...lmao
