International Cabover Project Heavy Metal Becomes a Tow Truck - Stacey David's Gearz S7 E2

Project Heavy Metal is back as Stacey rolls the old International cab over truck into the shop so he can outfit it with a vintage Holmes dual wrecker bed. It is auto recycling at its best as the big truck continues to come together using parts from a junkyard wrecker, swap meet vintage beer kegs, and even some new aftermarket parts.

It just teases me though. 😳 Hey, I love the old truck and am glad that you found it...in a junkyard! Oh Yeah! My dad took me to junkyards throughout WV, OHIO & KY when he went hubcap hunting. I would go out in the fields and see what was out there. That’s when they didn’t mind you walking around just checking it out. 🧐 Thanks for taking time to do this progressive stuff, even when it teases us.

Should have put a welder and a air compressor in the front then you got a full recovery and repair truck.

I would think that you would need more than 31 gallon capacity fuel tanks for a HEAVY METAL tow truck

I noticed the taper on the keg gas tanks weren't dealt with. Couldn't you have built up the foam or gotten rubber tape ,to make up that gap? It'll wear out won't it? Let me Kno.

You should have put the exhaust stacks pointing up instead of along the side
