    This reminds me of a story I heard many years ago. An acquaintance of the family back in the 80's had recently bought a new Chevy pickup with the new at that time 4 speed automatic. While on a trip spots an old Dodge truck by a barn out in the middle of nowhere. On his way home stopped and talked the owners out of that old Dodge. When he went to get the truck, on the way home with it blew the trans in the new Chevy. Made it to a little podunk town where it would take sometime to get the Chevy fixed. Turned out the local NAPA store had everything to fix that old Dodge! So a couple days work and the help of a local garage gets this old Dodge together enough to get the Chevy home. As I understand it he made a point of dragging the new Chevy back to the dealer with the Dodge, causing quite a stir!

      well Trucks! debut back in 1999 on Powerblock. Powerblock was four 30 min automotive shows that aired on the Nashville Network or TNN for short. The other shows on the Powerblock were Hod Rod/Horsepower TV, Muscle Car and Xtreme 4x4. Today powerblock is now known as the Power Nation and its no longer on the TNN since over the years the cable tv network has changed names and the old TNN cable channel is now known as The Paramount Network. Would absolutely LOVE to have one of those old WWII rigs but not enough years left to enjoy one.....so I dream. Would love to see this old workhorse restored to it's former glory, including the original seats but it looks like it's going to get destroyed if those tires are any indication of it's sad fate. And once again a piece of history dies because it isn't appreciated. Yes, I am old school. As intact as that truck is it should not be destroyed but restored. There are plenty of Toyotas and other modern garbage that would be better suited for that fate.

    • @jeepanimal2943

      Sgt Rock has been built for a few years. Check the local show circuits. I'm thinking, they're just releasing the old vids to TH-cam. The end result of this build is different, and in my opinion quite nice, albiet vastly different from it's original form. However, iffin you get the chance to see the tailgate, it might sway your opinion. I also believe a Toyota, doesn't have the lineage to be considered for this build.

    Shame on you Stacy, welding near a Battery! Big No No. One rogue spark in the right place and you battery turns in a huge grenade. Learned from experience. I at 16 Restored a 1938 Chevy tuck and had the same issue with the floorboard, but I used a piece of marine plywood that fit perfect and was also a sound barrier . I didn't have any access to the nice equipment you use today.

      @edreeves3902 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nyccollin Battery insulation has nothing to do with it. All Batteries (EVEN AGM) give off Hydrogen gas if it was recently charged or on a charger . Hydrogen is very explosive. Being a Certified Mechanic, I Kind of know about that and the safety reasons for "NOT" welding near any Automotive Battery. I have seen a Battery explode by someone hooking the cables wrong and creating a single spark. Oh and I love your now deleted post calling me a baby. Well my friend, maybe you should research a little more on subjects before you lash out and show the world your ignorance and possible lack of intelligence.
