Welcome to the ITS club! I agree on the gas tank could be bigger. I think if the gas tank could hold 2 more gallons it would be optimal. I think the potential is there, the ITS trunk pan is not as deep as the regular Integra, maybe the aftermarket will make a bigger tank someday.
It is funny how none of the video’s I’ve seen actually do the car justice. I saw one on the road recently, the thing is amazing. I’ve been watching videos of this car since, but as much as I love the looks on this thing, I’m not ready to give up my 8th Gen V6 accord coupe yet… if they came out with a coupe, I’d be on the lot the next day lol. Good luck with your Type-S!
Thanks for the informative video and sharing what you paid. I'm also in the market for a liquid carbon its. The angles of your car is so darn eye catching. Please post more videos of it 😊 have a great day!
Great looking car for sure. I like the color. But if i were to get one it would be the red. $52k is very high unfortunately for a FWD car. Curious how well they hold their value as opposed to the FL5 type R...
Congrats! Grey cars are usually boring but this tone of grey looks amazing. My favourite is blue. Expensive for a fwd car but I think these will hold value very well. I wish they had kept the middle rear seat in Integra Type S and in CTR. That is important for me for a daily.
Did you ever see a performance red pearl integra type s in person? Im torn between red, black and liquid carbon metal . Why did you choose the color you did ? Im trying to pick one .any help?
Man Im looking into one but I holding back because on FB groups said that is too expensive in the fuel department in consideration I drive 580 mile weekly and on a 2020 Ford Edge ST. I don’t want to give up the dream of a fun car but scared of the cost at the pump.
You should check out the video of the guy with the white one that has oil leaks and fenders out of line. Acura was no help. I’m decided not to buy one after his video.
You will always have some anomalies with any manufacture. I wouldn’t let it deter me. I’ve also got a lemon or two in my time, typically the manufactures have made it right.
@@seanforney24 not sure u watched his video. it’s not so much the car, it was more about how the dealer and Acura crop seem to treat him after spending that kind of money. You would expect better customer service.
Near $60K out-the-door price tag (including tax license reg destination) for a four cylinder ricer.... naw... I'd rather diligently save my money and buy something more substantial like a 2023 Audi R8.
@@seanforney24 No it is not 'different planet altogether'. A used 2015 R8 can be had for $100K which is less than 2x the cost of Integra. I've seen extremely well kept 2015 R8 in pristine condition for $100k. I actually test drove it it was absolute perfection. It is miles and miles better than Integra.
i like the new ITS, i just dont agree with the price. The RDX which is pretty much the same car, same engine (minus the big turbo) is priced at 42k. RDX has everything this car is missing: heat/cool seats, 2 memory keys, power passenger seat, panoramic sun roof, sh-awd, air suspension. i think they priced this at 52k to not cannibalize the market for the CTR. both are beautiful car and i cant wait fot get one soon...
The ITS and RDX really couldn't be more different than one another between cars from the same manufacturer. It's not even remotely close. The CTR and ITS are obviously just about the same car and those two even have some differences that are notable, but I have no idea how you came to that conclusion with the RDX lol. Not even sure how you would cross shop the two because one is a fun car and one is a boring family SUV with some "sporty" characteristics. One weighs 3220lbs and the other 4000lbs, the suspension and chassis are completely different, the transmissions are different, the dimensions of the car are all different, the interior is different, etc. They both have K20C engines but the C1/C8 are higher output than the C4 and they're different internally in some aspects.
A better comparison would be the TLX Type S and the Integra Type S. Interestingly, the TTS has some creature comforts similar to the RDX, but you have to be okay with the form factor, worse fuel economy, cost, lack of manual transmission, and driveability issues in tight spaces (it is a longer and wider car). The ITS wins on all counts albeit slightly on the creature-comfort-side although it is quite a comfy car for daily driving. In the end, one has to decide what they want, but the ITS takes the cake in my opinion.
The price could be justified if Acura had brought a premium product to market. They didn't. $7k+ extra should have bought a full premium package level of equipment and tech and it just isn't there. There's literally no excuse for the lack of rear vents when the car has a usable back seat. Hell, an M240i has a full climate control setup for a back seat that can't and won't be used. The Golf R is LOADED for substantially less. The ITS is "premium" in name only.
I know folks are shocked by the fact that a car with less creature comforts costs more, but this is not a new concept by any stretch. Pontiac did this in the late 60's with "the Judge" model of the GTO (GTO was its own model and the Judge was a special sport trim version). I believe it was the most expensive GTO those years as well.
Some people have difficulty driving FWD. They either need the crutch of AWD or RWD for whatever performance driving they want to do. Skilled drivers can extract enjoyment and performance regardless of the drive wheels.
@@Marbind I havent, but Im very familiar with the theme, and no throttle steering in driving is like no salt in food, I dont need to drive the Type S to know it just cant never do that 🤷♂ No offense but I think its obviously you who lacks experience driving a rwd car, I mean really driving not just steering around.
@@xrbperformance4290 All you need is more practice driving to build up the skills to drive a higher performance FWD car. All drive layouts have their advantages and disadvantages. Watch some old best motoring videos to get an idea of what some top level drivers can do in a fwd car. I suggest giving it a shot if you have the chance. It's more challenging in a lot of ways but it rewards driver skill to pilot a fwd at a high level. It's understandable that so many drivers need to rely on rwd or awd though. So if you can't get past that hump just enjoy what you drive
This is the best colour. Congratulations!
Fits you perfectly for life and business. Congratulations…maybe one day for me
The liquid carbon has become my favorite color. Hatchback design is the best i've seen in a long time ! With NO sunroof Yeah.
I do miss the sunroof on mine
I have the same DE5 in the same color. I love it exactly as is minus not having an oil temperature estimate & some rev hang.
