The MBRP exhaust should be coming out within the next few months.

I live in Cali and I just did a resonator delete. It sounds sweet. Just a bit louder and you can just tone it down with a quick "drive mode" change.
Yeah the stock exhaust is great and I’m sure it’s a lot more fun with a res delete. The valve was definitely not something I was willing to lose!

That’s fair. I was surprised by how good the stock exhaust was tbh, but I am used to having a much louder car. When the opportunity came up to let MBRP borrow the car to create the exhaust, I jumped on it ASAP!

Definitely an awesome car!
Great Video... need a new daily and was looking at this or the Type R love the platform. The Integra I feel might be better for daily since the Type R really shines on the track but for now just in a holding pattern :(
They’re both the same platform so the ITS is just as great on the track! Suspension’s just a tad softer so it’s more comfortable on the road though. FL5 definitely has the better seats for the track.
Man that car is fire & sounds great & of course I can appreciate it because I have the TLX Type S with mods as well

I want a sound upgrade for my ITS as well! Just deciding between just replacing the downpipe with a high flow one, or doing this!
I have the cat-back, but I’m still planning on getting a downpipe and tune in the future! The MBRP exhaust is still pretty relaxed in comfort, so I feel like it still won’t be annoying with a downpipe. Downpipe + 3” cat-back in Sport+ is going to be a different story though!

Why does this sound so much better then the CTR
The MBRP exhaust set up (mufflers/resonator/piping diameter) should be the same between the FL5 and DE5. Changes would be to fit the exhaust on the DE5 since it’s not a direct fit between the two, but this shouldn’t affect the sound.
The difference is in the operation of the valve itself. In Sport and Sport+ on the ITS, the valve is always open, and in comfort it’s always closed.
For the CTR, the exhaust valve only opens above 3500 RPM in +R, and I believe half open in Sport (I could be wrong). With the valve open, the CTR and ITS would sound the same with the MBRP exhaust, but the CTR doesn’t have the pops and burbles.
are you having any problems putting your front plate to the side ? like blocking the air from coming in ?
No issues whatsoever with it

How’d you acquire the MBRP? Development work with MBRP?
Yes! They had it pretty much figured out since they developed the exhaust for the FL5. They borrowed my car to finalize/make changes for the DE5! It was a great experience working with them.
That’s awesome bro. Glad it was a great experience. Car sounds amazing. I’m looking at getting a type-S myself so this is def the exhaust I want once it’s release and of course when I get the car.
The car sounds really good with stock exhaust.
Gets less unwanted attention from authorities.
To each their own. The stock exhaust is great but I got bored of it fairly quickly but I really like the MBRP exhaust. And it’s still valved so I can be as quiet or as loud as I’d like.
I hope the type R mbrp sounds like this
@@alichaudhry12when I brought my car to MBRP, they actually started off by putting the FL5 exhaust on, then made the necessary modifications to fit the DE5. The exhaust itself would be the same, but the valve modes are different between the FL5 and DE5 so the sound would be different
@@Platinum_DE5 ah I see, thanks for the reply. I got an email from my dealer after a year of waiting they're telling April delivery. I just hope they don't jack up the MSRP for 24 model.

the mbrp actually sounds really good, but forget about those pops here in cali. you'll be begging to get pulled over.
Yeah I’ve heard cali is pretty bad when it comes to exhausts. The pops with the stock exhaust are pretty loud too. Then again stock Elantra N’s are getting pulled over tho
yea that elantra n was my reference. lots of other stock cars get pulled over and get state ref'ed too. its so ridiculous. @@Platinum_DE5

No, it’s a cat-back so nothing emissions related has been touched or changed
