Hey there! T42 here jamming over the now infamous Sunny BT. Hope you enjoy. Go to:- www.tomquayle.co.uk/lessons.html for tuition material by me. Cheers, Tom
Let me just say, Tom's playing and video's have been a HUGE inspiration for me the past few weeks. HUGE. I've been playing since I was 12, and am now 33..... After seeing Tom's video's and playing, I've been motivated to move past just playing other people's music and finally take the time to LEARN to play over changes....and I'm making great progress!! These video's are a HUGE inspiration.... Thank you SO much for posting them and sharing your awesome playing.
That has got to be some of the greatest phrasing I have ever seen...and at blazing speed o.o I hope to one day know the fretboard as well as you guys. great job as always!
Been awhile since anyone commented but man this video always makes me laugh (especially that crazy lick at 1:10) and puts a smile on my face. Incredible phrasing by both, Tom's legato and note choice is incredible.
@tq105 you're my guitar hero!!! don't let stupid asses affect you. your music has changed my entire view on guitar and i've been playin for 7 years! thank you SO much!
Hey Tom thanks for sharing videos like these. Both guitars sound awesome. Can't figure out how you guys improv and play as busily as you do yet actually make the notes really mean something.
this is awesome. so smooth and colorful. you guys are really complementary in terms of feel and tone... really interesting to listen to from beginning to end. You should do a whole record together. Congratulations.
@tq105 could you put a download link for the track? Thanks, and great playing as always. I've been really getting into you, rick, and george. I need to get some $ to but a suhr!
awesome tone by the guy with the charvel. but i have to say that your suhr is stunning. i love the non-painted headstock. straight maple too my favorite neck wood. but how is the profile on the neck. is it super thin like an ibanez or thick like a gibson. i was thinking about getting a suhr but noone around me sells them so i cant try one out
Great Job. Great phrasing. Really enjoyed George Marios. Seems to be a little more loose, & off the cuff & bends those strings a bit more. But both are very skiilled in the jazzy realm. Rock on. TC
Great Jam guys, love it !! Sunny is great tune, and you're phrasing over it makes it even funkier !! too bad you didn't match your volumes, Georges volume is way upper than Tom's, but no big deal, Great playing guys !! keep on rockin'
@s0347801 Yea, you can also play power chords and run up and down a scale really fast. Why play anything that requires study or hard work when you can do that!
Guys im going to LCM next year just in the hopes that I can get private lessons from you, will you still be in Leeds? this is no joke, im actually going there just for you guys :P
Hi, Tom Quayle This video is very good. I'm braziliam, I study guitar, what technique you used to do this solo? Is there any method that explains this? you could transcribe this solo? I hear that video 30 times a day, huahuahuahua. Is expected to come to Brazil? Best regards Marcos Barros
Don't fret ^^ Your progress might accelerate to a much higher rate more suddenly than you realize, I spent about 10 years sucking pretty bad despite practicing and studying, then afterwards I reached a point where progress accelerated very fast. You may be surprised if you keep going :) you will reach a threshold where suddenly gates open. Hope that makes sense
George, that bend at 0:07..... I can speak no longer.....
0:07
☝️THIS! 🥵🎸
...and don't forget about the bend at 2:03 priceless!
Still listening to this after 8 years. Still awe inspiring.
oh yeah!!!

Hey Tom thanks for sharing videos like these. Both guitars sound awesome. Can't figure out how you guys improv and play as busily as you do yet actually make the notes really mean something.
Holy crap tom, your first take of the full form was ridiculous. You played pretty much exactly what I would want to hear over those changes.
this is awesome. so smooth and colorful. you guys are really complementary in terms of feel and tone... really interesting to listen to from beginning to end. You should do a whole record together. Congratulations.

Terrific players! cheers guys
Did anyone else laugh involuntarily at George's bend at 0:07?
Sweet man! 😁
Awww, wanted to see atleast one more hour of this :(
How much fun was that?! Probably even more to actually participate in, but spectating it is cool enough. Totally inspiring!
TQ is the GOAT of legato 😮
i love georges sound
I'm going to buy it, if you make any duo albums Tom. Especially when you make albums with Martin Miller.
Nice jam

@tq105 could you put a download link for the track? Thanks, and great playing as always. I've been really getting into you, rick, and george. I need to get some $ to but a suhr!
SHOWW!!!!
This is so ancient now!

Damn Mr Quayle... How do you do that...?
During how much hours do you practice per day ? :)
Great Job. Great phrasing. Really enjoyed George Marios. Seems to be a little more loose, & off the cuff & bends those strings a bit more. But both are very skiilled in the jazzy realm. Rock on.

Great Jam guys, love it !! Sunny is great tune, and you're phrasing over it makes it even funkier !! too bad you didn't match your volumes, Georges volume is way upper than Tom's, but no big deal, Great playing guys !! keep on rockin'
What would I give to be able to play like this...
Where can i get the backing track plss
@s0347801 Yea, you can also play power chords and run up and down a scale really fast. Why play anything that requires study or hard work when you can do that!
is this a video response to Hellman's "Sunny" covered by Hellman & Tenyu youtube video?
