- George & I jamming around over a cool BT I came up with.
Check out the masterclass we'll be performing in Patra (Greece) on the 19th of March. We'll also be doing private lessons the day before for guitarists in the area around Athens.
George is playing straight into Guitar Rig 4 using his G&L Legacy and I'm using my Suhr into a Carl Martin Plexitone running into my Port City Pearl head and 2x12 OS Wave cab mic'd up with a trusty old Sm57 into Logic Pro 8.
The BT was created using Spectrasonics Trilian and Stylus RMX all played in using a Roland GR-20 synth.
Enjoy!

Best wishes to you both! Awesome players that walk on the Earth!

Fantásticos los dos, Tom Quayle increible
amzing!and that is a some useful lesson for me, thq :-)
Woooo-Hooooo - GREAT STUFF!
I love jam sessions. When I worked in Audio back in Cape Town, South Africa, the musical instument demo room was right behind my desk. Every Saturday I would hook up a Teac Z5000 tape-deck and wait for the musicians to come in and play around with instruments they couldn't afford. LOL Some of the best music I have ever heard came out of those impromptu jam sessions - music that would never have been heard again, had I not run that tape-deck!
You guys are great!
superb!!
the ending was really hilarious

Enjioyed that guy's
whoa! that is some "blazing amazing phrasing!" btw i love the tone on your guitars! what kinda' pick ups are you using?
Tom, a question.
You have a very nice round, warm tone. Are you using a bb preamp into a clean amp for that, and is there any other effect, like chorus or delay that you're using?
Great playing as always.
Awesome playing! Wish I could do 1/3 of it.. Do I have to buy this backingtrack or can I download it some where free?
thanks!

shit dude 0.42- 0.47 I love that muted legato !! Damn
hahaha..you guys sick!! the lick in 5:12-5:17 is really nice
And when will you come to France?????? :)
Hey Tom, just wanted to ask you what a good amp or pedal would be (that are not ridiculously expensive) to achieve that awesome punchy tone you have? Great playing btw the way!
-much appreciated, eric
Awesome Jam :)
George, whats your rig? How do you achieved this Funkie-SRV sound?
HEy Tom What pickups its using George in his G & L Legacy Strat!?????
i dont get how you guys can play this shit this cleanly.... it is impossible!
nice intervallic stuff from george around 05:35
@fretdance i do love a nicely "worked with" strat/fender tone.someone who really knows how to make the most out of a single coil.but i also like the up-in-your-face fat humbucker tone.i guess im torn,explains why most of my guitars are bridge humbucker,neck single coil haha.
I thought Tom's tone lacked some presence. I felt like it was trapped inside a box and wanted to be let out. But only a little bit. It was a good tone.
And George's could have been pulled back a bit. Especially being compared to Tom's, the tone was very sizzle-y. Maybe just a bit too much.
The playing was great! Just some (hopefully constructive) criticism for two of my favorite youtube players! Always love to see new stuff!
@MaestrosounD Aaahn yes yes!! love that one aswell! it's weird, listening to it gives me butterflies in my stomach. Not kidding, it really does something to me :p
ever heard of steffan schackinger? both of your phrasing reminds me of his playing.
@psychopathtoine or 3:23, so original!
Tom are you using 5ths tuning for this clip? How the frick do you ever play chords??
@fenderoid1111 yes very
IS george Greek?
@GuillermoSmyser the contrasts in tone are great to me..it would sound lame if George just had some derivation of Toms tone..I agree Toms could be a tad more 'there' for my tastes.
@Glenntbh Oh Ok thank's very much hey whant to make you kNow that you to are in my top favorites with Guthrie Govan!!!!! So then again thank for answer and btw I buy the the same pickups that you have in your Suhr jaja I think that are the same they are the Fletcher Landau middle and neck and the Humbucker its the SSH+!!!! Well see you God bless you two!!!!!!!!
Awesome sausage. george your crazy as always. tom and you should do more lessons for lick library or just in general.
the trade offs in all your vids are rediculous
i've got the stupidest grin on my face right now!
@fenderoid1111 BIg time
1:11 Guthrie Bend lol.
How to make this guys...?? really think do you do..? or is like "Scat" i mean imagine notes without thinking theory, just play with the soul.!!
3 people are bieber fans
you guys are just awesome. do you ever just stop mid-jam and go "we're just 2 bitchin rock stars from Mars who are always WINNING." You guys definitely have "tiger blood" and "adonis DNA".....
George's tone is so dam harsh
@fretdance I thought his tone was good. I'm guessing you hate gain.
@ibzmav
BORING!!!!!
Playing is awesome, tone is crap
