Hey guys! I hope everyone is doing okay out there in these crazy times? I had the wonderful Nick Jennison in my video studio today to shoot some videos for Guitar Interactive Magazine and this was a fun jam we shot at the end of the day to entertain ourselves. The other two cameras ran out of memory about 1 minute in, so you have a single angle and about 4 minutes of playing.

Man, you two rocked, but seeing you actually enjoy the whole thing going on and reckoning Quayle's playing by "staring" his fretboard while he plays was amazing! Don't know why some guitarist avoid doing that..

Yeah. I can't help doing that ,,, I watch the other one that's not playing and you can see,, when they're following, but also when they think the line takes an unexpected turn, that they wouldn't have done ,, like a surprise ,, its all amazing no matter how you look at it ,, just the sound alone ,, great sound control .. everything right there

Taking nothing away from Nick but Tom just blows me away every time I watch him play .. his note connection is 2nd to none 🙏🙏🙏
Both players have their own taste for sure. Nick gives that traditional and classical blues - if that's what you want in your album. Tom gives you that Fusion Blues/Jazz feel - if you want something a little special, smooth, and different on your album. I've always been a traditional blues guy...but I prefer Tom. This is because I want something different. I believe, Tom's Jazz recipe will make me as a better player. Lol.
It seems like at the end, Nick started doing these jazzy lydian/whole tone lines aftrt hearing Tom use them a few times. Great playing from both.

1:29 - favorite lick I've ever heard. This should have more views.
Even Nick acknowledged it....i replayed that part atleast 5 times to figure out the notes but mostly just for the feel of it at the end of that run....sublime...

Sometimes, Toms mimic reminds me of Rick Beato, expressing his feelings. I love how both of them react to special great moments in the playing of the other. Makes me good feelings.
Hearing Nicks tone and style change on his second entry in response to Tom's Style was stellar.

That was like watching Federer and Nadal trade groundstrokes - such different styles but both so incredible. Absolutely love the mutual respect. Nick's expressions at Tom's otherwordly runs was terrific. And what a monster player Nick is....Just AWESOME guys....I needed that today....
