    I really like Ignacio's game. Another monster from the Philippines.

    Ignacio and Bergman have a nice stroke. He got lucky to win the match

    Would love to see 8-ball tournaments use the take what you make rule off the break...that would make it tougher to run out & make it more interesting

    Fantastic pool playing. Both very skilled players. A champion has to be strong enough to put his life on the line.

    Great defensive game 5. I'm sure others who watch a lot of 8 ball bar box action can agree that it's very seldom you see a multiple inning game. Was a nice break from the BNR marathons.

    If I were matched against Bergman, I'd have to bring a crossword puzzle to work on while he's shooting.

    • @VikingMan44
      @VikingMan44 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In BCA rules, you have to call the pocket. It's often referred to as "slop" when you make a ball in a pocket other than the one intended. The pocketed ball stays down, but you lose the turn.

    Ignacio always looks like he has a sneaky secret that nobody else knows, like maybe he just farted

    • @mikeserrano734
      @mikeserrano734 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      His secret, like all Filipino players is we grew up playing 61 with all 15 balls. Thats why 9ball is so easy

    I hate the magic rack. Wen dude breaks around 7:30 the 8 and i believe 3 ball stops on the stupid grooves of the "magic". Ya it looks cool on tv like a cg first down nfl line but the problem is its not cg

    Why are these Filipino pool players so good?
    Answer: In Pool halls you pay 20 pesos per game 50cents US. So, in order to play a longer game. We play race to 61. Instead of the short 8 ball or 9 ball. 61 uses all 15 balls and you have to shoot the 1 ball then the 2ball and so on, like 9balls, but longer. Here we navigate thru a lot of balls, learn a lot of carom and combination. There are also a lot of balls to hide and escape from safety shots.

    What a shocker. Bergman choked and lost the match for himself with an easy out on the hill just like in the Mosconi cup.

    Winners of tournaments being decided if a ball goes on the break or not. Idk why we do it to ourselves. We do know there are games this isn’t the case, right? Should golfers decide their tournaments on if a player gets a good bounce out of the rough and onto the green? We need to play games that make the credibility of the sport viable

  • @nono4805
    @nono4805 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Dang, they need a shot clock for this Bergman. It is painful to try to watch his matches. It is a bar table, not a 10 footer.

    • @shaneporter3019
      @shaneporter3019 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Much less painful than the advanced men's final with this dude named Nathan and Chris or something. Those losers literally took 3-4 mins staring at easy shots and then ended up missing them

    • @joshstephenson9711
      @joshstephenson9711 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +no no 8 ball is not a fast game. Watch 9 or 10 ball if you want speed.

    • @nono4805
      @nono4805 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Josh Don't need a fast game, just one that is not dead.

    • @SirKks1
      @SirKks1 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I agree. The guy wanders around the table and then take three or more cuts at it, and gets up again, and chalks up again - makes me nervous to watch him. In contrast, Jeffrey studies the layout and more often than not, one-strokes it.

    • @josephnewcomb5670

      They should have a 30 sec shot clock for this event or Atleast a 45 sec shot clock

      its bar box 8 ball. its a slow game. bar box 10 ball and 9 ball are played much quicker. on 9 foot tables they wouldnt be playing this slow.

    Bergman looks like he's coked out of his mind or something. I kept expecting him to start doing cart wheels and whip out some glow sticks like he's at a rave or something. Both of these guy's imo are champs, and it could easily went either way.
