What a great match. It was a shame Steve had to lose this one. He played flawless.
Disappointed in the commentators making negative comments about Steve.

I'm new to the pool thing but love it. I actually loved to hear the commentators. It was like hearing the players thoughts, plots, and strategies. they were like 98 percent right about the players next shots. I come from a chess background so I gained a new appreciation for pool, the stroke, cue ball placement, position, ect ect just by watching and getting into their heads through these guys. both were excellent players, and the commentators did a great job.

born68 Pool at the upper levels is more of a chess match and strategy than most people think. The multiple ERO's or break and runs seen here is why the better players enjoy playing more strategic games like 14-1 or one pocket. I hope you continue to learn and enjoy the game it is a great sport that requires both mental and physical stamina to be a true competitor.

Great match I've never heard of Steve Knoll before. He has a solid game for sure. Too bad for the scratch in his last game that was tough luck.

Very good match. Solid play from both in strategy and execution. I was really rooting for Steve it's nice to see an unknown guy who obviously has a lot of game put a pro to the test.

Very nice match. Although they kept saying each game was a break n run the very first game Steve had to play a safety after making a ball on the break because he didn't have a shot.

Came here to say the same thing. Pretty annoying that they kept repeating the same incorrect thing.

I think Corey is maybe the best eight ball player the last couple of years. You can see the frustration in Shane's face when he miss's but Corey is just a machine right now. Guy just does not miss anymore.

Corey could probably be argued as the best bar box 8 ball player right now at least n the US. He is a beast on a bar box at the moment. Time will tell if he can stay on top for a while and not falter like he did in the late 90's and early 2000's.

awesome steve you almost had him. i think if you played a combination at 42:55 by your ball and made his ball and kept the white ball close to the rail you would have had another chance.

43:58Well ken Shulman is not a great commentator, at 43:58 when he said "brutal" Steve turned the cue ball loose, bad things happens when you do that, all he had to do see where the tangent line was heading, and change your mind as to where you hit the cue ball ! When Shulman is commentator I mute the sound.

This commentator has a short term memory. Keeps saying their 4 games 4 break and runs and then 5 for 5 when the 1st game had a safety played right off the bat and Corey went for the 2 ball and missed. So -1 break and run lol

Both players are wearing shirts and Ken is in a hoodie. I guess being old makes him colder. LOL Looks real professional by the way.

It hurts to see professional players who look like they are pregnant. I guess obesity is a part of our world now. Very sad. This is where the term belly hooked came from in pool. Push yourself away from the table already.

@Jim Kane, what a simple minded fool you are. Stevie isn't a full time Professional Pool player, he is a Block Mason and owns his own business. He taught Masonry for years at Vo-Tech also. He's 52 yo in this event as well and most likely would physically wipe the floor with your sorry ass if you made a move on him. He was also a Sea Bee in the Navy. I grew up with Steve and he was a dedicated weight lifter for most of his life.

Kinda sad that the only thing you comment on is what the players are wearing and what they look like lol. Nothing on the game.
