    I don’t know who Scott Rabon is but he is spot-on with his commentary.

    This just popped up on my feed. I wish Bergman would travel again. He's just so good (loved watching him on Bonus Ball).
    Also, I didn't know of Scott Rabon before this video. We need to get him to do more commentary. He's great.

      he didn’t say much about himself, seemed like a decent player and familiar with bergman. shuman introduced him as scott raymond.

    Didn't realize Mark was doing all that...good on ya, we really do need a pool school any more to compete with, as an example, the Chinese who take teaching and coaching their prodigies VERY seriously. And the caliber of players coming out of China demonstrate what that thinking produces...they seem to be the 'new Filipinos, so to speak, taking US and international pool by storm.
    BTW, VERY good commentating, MHO.
    I'm not always very impressed with push outs, but that strategy by Pagulayan @1:22 was very clever. Move a blocker that would almost certainly preclude continuation to the two, and leave a pretty difficult rail frozen kick that you think you are decent for, but the other guy probably won't want to attempt. Push strategies usually aren't nearly that interesting. I thought it was very clever and well thought out, and most importantly, it WORKED. Betting there were a lot of odds calculations going on in his head (maybe in the background ;-) ) for that choice. I would NEVER have thought of that.

    is justin here using a meucci pro shaft? cant get to read the name near the joint but looks like the meucci. He is not wearing a sponsor badge or anything, only the lomax cue one so idk

      @@joeconnerson9773 he now does. Nowadays he uses a lomax custom cue and an OB phoenix kielwood shaft. But this is an old vid, 2017 and the lettering on the shaft looks a lot like the ones on the meucci pro shaft.

    Can someone explain to me why 9ball has taken over? It's such an easy game lol. And on a big table it's ridiculously easy. And you don't even have to call pockets. I don't get why 8ball hasn't remained dominate. That's the more challenging game. I know this is some time back, but over the years 9 ball has taken over and become the more popular game. Is it because it's easier lol?

    This was when mic knowledge hit the skids with lip smacks and p-pops galore. The mics of the 50's and 60's on analog equipment were actually better. Then screens and muffs, "dead rabbits", had to be instituted and then equalizers and computer editing.

    Can someone answer me..
    Why doesn't pagulayan have a stroke? its like he immediately shoots with no back stroke if u know what i mean, its like almost exactly like his practice strokes, he goes back only 1 or 2 inches then accelerate to the front and also only for 1 or 2 inches, like no stroke what so ever.
    What do they call this, is it fair to call him as a good player who doesn' thave a good stroke?

    • @Bazkook86
      @Bazkook86 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Different strokes for different folks. It is hard to argue with a player of his caliber.

      That’s all you need if you accelerate fast enough .It’s not how far you go back it’s how you get through the cue ball..It’s not a golf club where you are hitting it 399 yards.Also at times he will produce a full swing if needed.He is a nine ball world champion.He’s also won for many years .I think it’s 2002 he won the championship.He’s also a great one pocket player ,and regarded as one of the best Christ in our sport.
