They won twice. It speaks their strength. I think Django excelled in straight pool much like Strickland while Efren more into Positional play. So they creates Deadly combo.

Pool will never play to the masses until we get the excitement into the game like this. The crowd has to be allowed into it,the announcers' have to be like Hockey, Football etc. This match had it all.
To everyone asking WHY it was an ILLEGAL BREAK: In some tournaments, a certain number of balls have to cross the head-line. The head-line is that line on the breaking end of the table that defines where "the kitchen" is. Only two balls crossed the head-line, and more than that many were required.
@@patrickodonnell7111 That's called a "push out." In 9 ball, you can shoot a "push out" on the first shot after the break. This truly was a treat to watch. I've seen it so many times and I still marvel at how both sides kept playing safe and then escaping. Efren really got caught up in the match and, BELIEVE ME, making that nine ball was no simple matter for him. (Notice the ball rolled into the side of the pocket.) Yes, a Great Match played by Great Players!

I asked an old timer who was quite good at billiards, "what's the secret"? He said come here and take a look at the table. What do you see? I said well I see a table, and some colored balls....what else is there? He then told me this...." On any good billiards table setup, there are 3 bulbs in the overhead candelabra, that make 3 light reflections on each ball. Down each side of the table are 3 pockets, and in between the pockets are 3 diamonds or sights." As he said it, I "saw it". Holy cow. My game was instantly elevated. After that I learned proper stance and stroke(swing from the elbow, not the shoulder). I started playing with english, speed and masse. Left, right, follow and draw. Proper way to groom the felt tip and chalking. And I eventually realized that there was a geometrical way of "measuring" every kind of shot, and started using the mirror ball and mirror pocket concept along with the light reflections. On straight shots. Cut shots. Bank shots. Backskuttle shots. Combo shots. Run the rail shots. It is really all right there for all to "see."
