      Robert f I don't actually hate like you obviously do . Jealous , bitter people hate. I just think you and others are pathetic bitter tennis fans , if you can be called that. The fact that Djokovic will end up the best does not eat my insides with pain and jealously at all. I will always support Nadal because at the end of the day in my opinion he is a genuine, humble person who had worked hard and honestly for years . To me that counts a lot even if he is 2nd or 3rd GOAT. I don't actually care, nor do a lot of others so all the hate you give out to his fans just goes over their heads. You will never bring him or his fans down I'm afraid. I guess it's all a game to you .

      Endia Rajineesh. Not entirely true. Had to retire a few years ago with a wrist injury from FO .Last year he missed the beginning of the clay court season and did not do so well. After his latest injury he will miss two tornaments so again wont be coming fully fit into the clay season. Most injuries occur on hard courts, most players and 'experts ' say that. Nadal has said he finds hard courts more difficult . The way he plays and his body is not so suitable to hard courts. The same applies to Nadal. Why would he fake injuries which means he has to miss weeks of playing , lose ranking points, and have to spend weeks getting fit again, especially at his age now. Nadal is always honest about his injuries . No fake involved and anyone with any sense realises that. He was told that his career would not last after his late twenties because.of his style of play. But he is still around. Not many question Nadals injuries because they do not need to . Djokovic must have a very unusual body to have injuries and not have to miss tornaments. For someone that is so fussy about his body I'm surprised he has somewhat strange treatments , which I read yesterday, contains secrets.

    Excellent video as always. To me, the best evidence to even the most cynical critics would be #4, because it is very clear to anyone who watched Djokovic's matches that he wasn't playing like he usually does. One thing to highlight: he did not run down quite a few shots (especially some drop shots) that he normally would have, or at least would have given some effort to do so. Anyone who disagrees frankly did not watch Djokovic's matches for more than a couple of minutes.
    He was moving better later in the tourney, but that was mainly after Marijana's treatments started. (EDIT: One more piece of evidence in Djokovic's favor: he himself stated that he had improved and was feeling much better and not limited later in the tourney, not using it as an excuse - why would he do that he if were truly trying to use the injury as a mindgame?? No answer for that one either eh, haters?)

    • @darchon5
      @darchon5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@alfredbenedek3398 Sigh, here we go again. First of all, virus has nothing to do with this, that's a separate argument. Second, you clearly didn't watch his matches. He got injured vs Medvedev b4 the Aus Open and it was CLEAR in that match and vs Korda that he was hampered in his movement. And it was CLEAR that he was hampered in some movements in Aus Open 1st 3 rounds.
      But then from round 4 onwards, he was moving mostly normally but still did not try on some balls and also never extended to hit his trademark stretch backhands. And again, he himself stated from the 4th round on he didn't have any problems with the injury, meaning he wasn't making excuses.
      And what would be the purpose of faking injury against Medvedev when he was up 5-2 in the 1st set?? And why again in the 1st 3 rounds against easy opponents?? And why admit he didn't have problems with it from the 4th rd onward vs tougher opponents? And then Tilley confirmed that the scans showed a 3cm tear in the hamstring, so I guess you think he's lying also? GTFO of here with all that bullshit.

    Great stuff. Can you make a video about the comparison between Djokovic, Nadal and Federer in terms of surface-level success, and how different surfaces do matter when it comes down to a final decision of who was the more successful player between the 3. For example, give 1 point for each surface: hc, grass and clay. And declare the winner in the end. You should compare the 3 players with each other and how they fare on different surfaces. For me, the number of gs titles was always a joke when it comes to who really was the better player. If all that matter are the number of slams, then we could say that Murray and Wawrinka were equal in their success, which clearly is not the case. So, the only fair way to determine who was the best, is to compare how players did on different surfaces. Also, a lot of Nadal fans are whining how him winning Garos year after year is big. But what exactly is Nadal doing, rather than confirming that he is the best on clay. Does winning more FO makes him the best on hc and grass. And how can he ever be above Djokovic and Federer, if he cant be dominant over them on at least one more surface, such as grass or hc for example. Had Nadal dominated, say, grass and clay, i would give him the GOAT titles even if Djokovic would win 20 hc slams or something. Djokovic right now, winning hc slams, proves nothing that wasnt already known since he surpassed Fed 11 hc slams. Djokovic winning Wimbledon is much more important, and can make him above Fed as a grass GOAT too. He is over Fed in hc and clay for a while now, and over Nadal in hc and grass. Nadal needs either something like at least 5 Wimby titles or to win 7 more hc slams or something to be considered above Djokovic in results. What does the total number of slams have to with anything here? Quality should always be above quantity. And i didnt hear anyone make that argument.

    • @catspaw7366
      @catspaw7366 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Slam distribution ( Open Era )
      1. Djokovic
      Hardcourt = 13 Slams (1st)
      Grass = 7 Slams (2nd)
      Clay = 2 Slams (4th)
      2. Federer
      Grass = 8 Slams (1st)
      Hardcourt = 11 Slams (2nd)
      Clay = 1 Slam (5th)
      3. Nadal
      Clay = 14 Slams (1st)
      Hardcourt = 6 Slams (4th)
      Grass = 2 Slams (5th)
      It is crystal clear that out of the Big 3, both Djokovic and Federer dominated 2/3 surfaces. On the other hand, there is no doubt Nadal's 14 RG is remarkable, but at the end of the day clay is just 1/3 of the overall surfaces you need to dominate.

    • @talbarak4522
      @talbarak4522 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I also think that he match-up between the Big 3 members on the different surfaces is relevant. It should be measured not only by head to head on the different surfaces, but also on the players' level on the surface during the time of the match, the surface schedule of the players, and their ability to win against an "outsider" opponent who beat one of the other members on the opponent's preferred surface as long as this "outsider" is equally healthy in both matches.
      I will take grass as an example: Djokovic and Nadal are currently tied 2-2 on grass, but Djokovic is considered as a far better player on this surface. It is because Djokovic's 3 wins in Wimbledon finals against Federer (Nadal has only 1), 4 Wimbledon titles in a row (ability to dominate the surface) and the fact that since 2011, Djokovic always had a better result than Nadal at Wimbledon (including 2016 and 2017). Nadal's only special achievement is his ability to defeat Berdych in 2010 after the latter won against Federer and pre-prime Djokovic in the same tournament.
      Djokovic leads Federer 3-1 on grass, but a still don't consider him the better grass player. They didn't meet on this surface before 2012 when Federer was almost 31, and even though Federer's level was still close to his prime until 2018-2019, it is still not the same when facing prime Djokovic. During Federer's peak on the grass he had a 72-1 record on this surface between 2003 and 2009, while Djokovic was still uncomfortable with this surface. And even when Djokovic managed to win Wimbledon in 2011, a year after Federer dominated him in the semifinal. Had they played at Wimbledon before 2012, Federer would have a better grass record against Djokovic. Djokovic rarely played grass tournaments outside of Wimbledon while Federer played those on a regular basis. Federer was still close to Djokovic on hard courts (a surface more favourable for Djokovic and less favourable for Federer) on best of three matches even after 2012, so matches on grass in a best of three format should give him a slight advantage. Don't get me wrong, Djokovic is so good that he could definitely defeat prime Federer on grass at least twice and even be the favourite on grass best of three matches from 2014 onwards, but for now I would still consider Federer as the better grass court player.
      Another factor is the ability to defeat a big 3 member on his favourite Slam. And this is a category where Djokovic has a clear advantage over the other two. He defeated Federer thrice at Wimbledon and Nadal twice at the French Open (+taking him to five sets in another match he could have won). Federer defeated Djokovic once at the Australian Open (before it became Djokovic's favourite Slam) and never defeated Nadal at the French Open (not even taking him to 5 sets in any of these encounters). Nadal defeated Federer only once at Wimbledon (in a super close 5 setter) and never defeated Djokovic at the Australian Open. Federer defeated Djokovic 3 times at the US Open when Djokovic was rather fresh and had match points in 2 of his 3 losses, so it partially makes up for his inability to defeat Djokovic in Australia more than once. He gets a bye for his inability to defeat Nadal at the French Open only because 2 players overall managed to defeat Nadal there, and in the sole French Open Federer won he defeated a healthy player who beat Nadal at the same tournament. Nadal could only defeat a physically spent Djokovic at the US Open, so he has a deficit against Djokovic on hard court Slams. Djokovic, on the other hand, defeated an in-form Federer at Wimbledon in each of his 3 wins and an in-form Nadal at the 2021 French Open. He gets extra points for that.
      In order to get back to the GOAT conversation, Nadal has to win the Australian Open after defeating Djokovic (or a fit player that defeated him in the same tournament) fair and square on his way to the title. Luckily, this has close to zero chance to happen.

    I had the luck to see both Nadal and Djokovic live. We know what the results were. I saw Rafa at the United cup where he lost to Norrie, there was no problem with any injuries there, he was moving very well. I also saw Djokovic in the 2nd round of AO, where that's the only time where he lost a set, not only because of injury, but also because of the rude behaviour from the audience. These Where's Wally characters were screaming obscenities and kept distracting Novak. It was a different class of performance. There was no complaints on the balls and surface, there was no bullying the umpire for keeping the clock right between serves, and there was no injury when losing to the opponent from Novak. I just thought I'd add that observation in. Keep up the good work. And greetings from Australia

    Nadal fans are the most hypocritical when it comes to injuries... For what I care, I don't really care if Nadal was injureed or not in his struggles.... But if you put his injuries in perspective... There is a pattern that runs in cycles. Also they make huge story about his foot, how he doesn't have feeling in it... Bulls*it... You can't run with numb foot, let alone play sports at highest level.. He has some deformities to his foot, but he spent all his career playing with it and didn't prevent him winning so much... But when he loses, it's always injury based.... On the other hand, top tier sportsmen play through minor injuries all the time... They just evaluate if they can play or not....If they would give up every time they felt paon and had some minor injuries... They woouldn't be where they are now...

    Another thing you forgot to mention in the comparison to Nadal is that Nadal took MTO when he was getting his ass spanked; Novak was never losing in any of his matches. So unlike Novak, Nadal had not one but two things to gain from faking an injury: he destroyed his opponent’s momentum to win said match, then he could use his “injury” as an excuse to withdraw from the tournament so he can avoid another humiliation at the hands of Novak.

      @@goatkovic Sorry, I don't have any data; it's just an impression I've formed over the years. Particularly, I remember Andy Murray's two victories over Novak in GS finals came against a clearly exhausted player. Sometimes, such as in Australia, Novak appears to prefer playing second in the night session, so evidence of anti-Novak bias on the part of organisers may be difficult to prove.

Only 3 players in the top 100 did not get vaccinated. Just tell me where were all Novaks followers of his new tennis players association which he is leader of. I thought this was an association for players helping and supporting each other away from the Tennis Association. Apparently about 80% of players were meant to have joined Novak association.
