One point I didn't respond to but should've, he said that 70 people a year die from eating green potatoes and getting solanine poisoning! He once again did not cite a source but from this German risk assessment institute, few cases have been reported in history and there have been ZERO reported deaths from this in the last 50 years! That's despite 7 billion humans regularly eating potatoes! www.bfr.bund.de/en/press_information/2018/15/solanine_in_potatoes__green_and_strongly_germinating_potato_tubers_should_be_sorted_out-204286.html
Solanine is bitter tasting so dangerous, green potatoes should be obvious and easy to dodge. If you somehow end up eating some, it is probably going to result in some nausea.

He should be legally compelled to make a video retraction. It should be THE LAW. When a doctor says a wrong thing in their capacity as a medical advisor, they need to be forced to either correct themselves or give up their privilege to practice medicine. Any good doctor would GLADLY say "I was wrong!" All the plant based docs, when shown they're in error, say loud and proud, "I was wrong!"
If someone can't admit they made mistakes, that's a HUGE red flag.

I am an ex-vegetarian Hindu. In my society, it is a grave sin to eat meat and eggs. Milk and honey are welcome. I can gurantee that my 7 generations of ancestors never ever had meat. Since childhood I had skin problems, teeth problems, leg pains and poor performance at school. As an adult, doctors say I have fybromyalgia and several pinched nerves, tight IT band, tight piriformis and extreme thoracic back pain. Gassy football belly is an everyweek issue. My mother had ulcerative colitis for about 25 years. My grandpa died of throat cancer but he never smoked. My father died of after effects of stroke. No one in my extended family can say they are fine. Every person has some health issue despite eating home grown, home cooked vegetarian food. All of them take medications since their 30s.
I need to get my body out of these pains.
I am learning to adapt to the awful smell of meat and eat it. After 30 years of a tradiional generational vegetarianism, I have found relief in eggs and poultry. The positive effects are felt within hours. Will try mutton next. Cow is sacred to us so no beef. Meat heals inflamed gut.

@@alankritakaushalI don’t think we can blame the plants for your family’s health when you were still consuming dairy. Dairy, especially full fat, can be very problematic. For example, I personally break out with painful cystic acne when I consume dairy. It clears in about a week of eliminating dairy. Is it possible these carnivore dieters are seeing these cool improvements because they’re eliminating processed foods? The cholesterol of carnivore dieters is certainly nothing I’d want to intentionally duplicate.

Say whatever you wish for or against the carnivore diet but there's one clear thing I notice: those on the carnivore diet are significantly more manly than those on vegan diets. Also, if you compare the structure of the jaw with vegans vs carnivores, you'll see that we are designed to eat primarily animal foods as our jaws generally don't need braces and wisdom teeth can grow in naturally if eating our species-specific diet throughout childhood into adulthood.

Being vegan is a cult unfortunately. Anyone who's done actual research into this stuff knows that vegetables have a very horrible risk-to-reward ratio and don't really have any reasons to eat them. Optimal health is most likely Low carb with high fat and high protein, however some variance shows that some people handle zero carbs just as well or better. Long term ketosis has shown to be the most effective treatment and preventative measure for so many issues it's actually kind of hilarious.

This my personal experience an observation. At 33 I had all kinds of health issue popping up. Standard American diet. High blood press, A1c elevated, fatty liver (didn’t drink) thyroid issue, fatigue , brain fog depression , blurry vision etc. went vegan for 9 months very strict. No processed food no meat or animal products. Veg, rice, starches, olive oil , fruits, smoothies. Lost weight felt a bit better at first but it started to slide. Months in I could NOT get enough to eat. I was starving all the time. Most veg don’t taste good without salt and butter slathered on them because your body is designed to adapt to fat. The high carb vegan diet began to wear on me. Hair thinning , pale color anemia(turns out your body can’t absorb most of the nutrients in plants anyway. I was regular but in the bathroom 4-5 times daily. It got old and tiring eating like that.
Went back to standard diet for years Fast forward to last year age 49. Went pure carnivore minus 10g day of carbs from time to time. Ribeyes, butter by the pound, sour cream cheese , eggs, bacon sausage.
Immediately my arthritis went away , skin looked darker and softer, slept like a baby , vision problems cleared up, brain fog gone, libido exploded, lean muscle increased fat decreased by a lot. Literally all my health problems went away…all of them. I go to the bathroom once every couple days because my body absorbs all the nutrients and doesn’t waste them.
I feel and look like I’m in my 30’s , grey hair started going away, no wrinkles anywhere, hair and nails thick. Another good thing is I eat one big meal a day for breakfast consisting on all meats and eggs. I have no health problems now at all.
I’ve known vegans in my life and must look pale and unhealthy. If eating carnivore diet makes you feel so good , how can it be bad for you? I’ll tell you. It’s the comb of carbs sugar and meat together that causes the health problems. Eliminate the first two and your body is purely fueled the way nature intended. Carni for life here

depends on what the issue is but the carnivore diet is a nutrient-dense food and is easy to get everything from it. Plant-based though is more difficult to master. Not all plants are equal and not all people are equal so you have to look at your ethnicity and culture because you'll have different microbes. Also, medicine can alter the microbiota even if it was your mom because you get your flora from her mostly.

Listening to both sides of the carnivore/vegan debate it has become clear to me that BOTH can work, they also both have a lot in common. They are both elimination diets. No junk food, added sugar, limited alcohol, trans fats etc. This is what given most of the benefits to most people. I personally eat a very low carb carnivore diet because I enjoy it and find it easy to adhere to. My blood work is all in the normal range and I can easily stay lean and fit on it. I am 51 and take no medication, feel amazing and sleep like a baby every night. I can also understand how some vegans can achieve the same. Anecdotally though I have to say that the vegans I know have a whole range of health issues while the carnivores do not. Three of my close friends went vegan approx 10 years ago and all 3 are struggling with a laundry list of health and mental issues. Two of them switched to keto and are gradually increasing their meat intake and the other stayed vegan and now has thyroid and blood pressure issues to add to the list.
Also, have you noticed how its the vegan channels that want to sell you a whole range of vegan products? Fear mongering about meat and then selling you the latest plant based concoction. Mic the vegan being the perfect example.

Just because plants are trying to kill animals that would eat them doesn't mean that those same animals haven't evolved to cope with or even thrive with those very plants. Suggesting that we shouldn't eat plants because they contain chemicals that can stress the body is like saying standing up and walking places stress on our joints, so we should sit down and avoid moving around. No really, they weren't vegan. How could they be? 90% of the meals essential to consume on a Vegan diet didn't exist 3000 years ago, and the remaining 10% are nothing like their nature born counter parts. Explain how we could possibly been vegan when the food doesn't grow in large enough quantities to feed a single person without monocrop agriculture.
Herbivores have Caecums that fill a large portion of their abdomen, and no gull bladders because their diets contain next to or almost zero fat. Humans do not have Caecums, but we do have gull bladders. That alone should tell you something.
Pork Belly soup is a delicacy in Okinawa Japan, and most of that pan fried fish in the Mediterranean was traditionally cooked in a lemon "butter" sauce. So clearly they are perfect Vegan communities.
This video from Mic is Vegan propaganda. What are Mic's credentials? He just gets on here and spews BS and sugar sponsored research that keeps us from understanding nutrition. Most people are following the recommended dietary guidelines, because the food they eat on "SAD" hits the macro nutrient and micro nutrient recommendations of the country. WE are still fatter and more metabolically unhealthy than we were in the 60's. What predominantly changed during that time was 41 additional pounds of annual sugar consumption, mostly in the form of high fructose syrups, up from 60 pounds consumed annually in the 60's.

I shudder to think what it used to be… I couldn’t even eat their oatmeal for breakfast because they put milk and butter in it 🤨

Ok but do your sister and niece eat meat heavy whole food diets? Or do they eat a lot of processed carbs and seed oils too?
I’m skeptical on whole plant foods being super healthy in abundance and I’m very much in disbelief that meat is and for you. After all, it wouldn’t make any sense that the food we’ve spent majority of our evolutionary period as a species eating would be bad.
And also from seeing so many positive anecdotes with tons of upvotes just like yours but people saying carnivore diet has made them that way, and many were long term vegans before.
It’s these reasons as well as learning that meat being “unethical and bad for environment” comapred to plant food is a much more nuanced conversation then I was led to believe, I decided to reincorporate eggs and meat recently after being vegan for a bit over a year.
And I’m genuinely feeling better. Sleeping better and gaining more muscle mass.

@Henry Wylie We have been eating plants in abundance with small amounts of meat throught history (no factory farms, no large amounts of meat), so I don't see why you would have a disbelief that we can consume large amounts of plants, meat is fed on plants.
As for the TH-camrs this has already been explained previously by Mic. There was the one who was vegan and eating fish, the one who was starving themselves, the one who went carnivore when her views went down (due to a mass of other vegan channels), the one who water fasted for 1 month then ate an egg and felt better, there was the one who believed you can survive on sunshine, there was the one who lived on fruit alone and there were 50 million others who are happy being vegan.
You said this person who commented was just one example, so are you.
I don't know what you expected 1 year of veganism was going to do, but it wasn't going to take away all your issues from decades of not being a vegan, eating carnivore for a short period of time can't transform you either, it is a placebo effect, like hair of the dog, a beer after a big drinking party.
We have throughout history had long periods of time without meat, we have never at anytime lived solely on meat.
Meat is unethical and bad for the planet, not nuanced, happy to explain if you wrong lying think otherwise.

So the really inconvenient truth here is that plants don’t want to be eaten, right? It’s written in basically all the defense mechanisms that are in place - the uncomfortable feelings one would get from eating any given plant is the main objective…. Anything that has cells needs to have an on going metabolism, this includes plants, they don’t want to be eaten. How else to keep you from eating, they can’t run away, they can’t yell and they can’t bite back… they only thing they have is, like, a yucky taste, some toxin you have to cook out, inflammation, etc. they do this so you remember how you felt when you ate the plant and leave it alone in the future. Plants signal when in pain, they react to being eaten…. Even in death they want you to suffer. Nicotine, caffeine, thc, opium - the list is endless. These are the plants way of saying stay away, don’t eat me! It’s pretty safe bet that everything alive wants to live and will do whatever it can to stay alive. The gluten in wheat - every allergy, lol. Just look at any plant or mushroom….. most are inedible or poisonous…. You just can’t see plants writhe in pain or hear them scream…

Hyper-carnivores? Absolutely not. Our ancestors were omnivores, gradually moving from living off of majority fruits as they were growing rarer as our pre-human ancestors' living habitat was becoming less forested, but there never was a step in human evolution in which humans were hyper-carnivores. Neither us nor our ancestors have anything close to the dentition of a big cat or a wolf, for one.

But the cultists always appeal to authority over evidence. Let them. Stuff their health. Why should anyone care? Just do what sorts out your health for yourself.

not necessarily, many times it's the same liver enzimes that are responsible for metabolizing several different types of poison, which can stress the liver
more importantly, these same small different poisons may have the same molecular reaction pathways so they can converge to a similar or single molecule, but this is just a plausible hypothesis which would take very long to be proven since plants usually have thousands and thousands of different chemicals

For example Mikhaila Peterson had juvenal arthritis that almost killed her. After switching to all meat diet all her symptoms went away. I stumbled onto the Carnivore diet after watching Jordon Petersons video. Wow what a difference it has made in my life. At 57 for the first time in my life I don't have digestive issues. My anxiety has gone away. I have energy. I know what it feels like to feel normal now. In my life, eating vegetables', fruit and nuts has never made me feel healthy, they always made me feel bad.

It is not argued here that these dietary exposuresare necessarily of much relevance to human cancer. In fact, epidemiological results indicate that adequate consumption of fruits and vegetables reduces cancer risk at many sites (Block et al., 1992) and that protective factors like the intake of vita-mins such as folic acid are important, rather than the intake of individual rodent carcinogens." I ease in it slowly so no bathroom drama. Most shocking was not needing to sleep so much, all my joint pain (knee and neck) go away, and gone is the eternal hunger.
I try many variations to check my weight and was able to loose only with added 3 hour work out and lost at best 10-15 kg in 2 years. On carnivore i slowly lost 20 in 6 months. Also if you try it for anything shorter then 2 months dont bother.

@@scasny Good for you! I recommend you continue what you are doing. As for me, there is no problem needing to be solved. I'm eating WFPB and feeling great. Since going WFPB my weight has dropped (without trying), my blood pressure has dropped, my cholesterol has dropped and my A1C has dropped. No need to add class 1A or class 2A carcinogens into my diet (a.k.a. processed meat and red meat). I don't need to increase my risk of prostate cancer by consuming dairy. The problem with your approach is your heart disease risk will sky rocket. You may feel great but your increased risk will not necessarily be evident in how you feel, at least not initially.

    • @scasny
      @scasny 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@michaelchristensen2786 I give you the dairy cause not all have the genetic mutation (like most in EU) that allow us to digest lactose as when we was infants. But there is no correlation to prostate cancer and there are other more significant factors. The 1A refer to processed meat meaning chemicals use in preserving the meat which plant food is full of even the fresh one. Bio, Eco it dont matter all are sprayed its just how often. Not only you introduce more carcinogens but in more quantities by constantly eating. Your weight dropped because you basically eating mostly water with indigestible fiber. Recon you poop at least 2x a day. Also update your knowledge as cholesterol is now not to be consider as a whole and a marker to risk to a coronary disease. Now they actually have to do the work and look at triglycerides and the lipid size which are more reliable predictors. Your low glucose is irrelevant if you have high levels of insulin. A1C test is to show if you produce less or being resistant to insulin by sustain levels of glucose. But you see, in time, most vegans tend to last 5-7 years until the nutrition deficiency start to cause health problems. There are several essential nutrients that plants dont contain and many others that are not in the bioavailable form, not mentioning antinutrient that slow down or even block absorption. Add to that meat is the only food that dont trigger any allergic reaction, compare to numerous nuts and plant allergies, sensitivity and out right diseases like leaky gut. Even in Crohn's disease the research start to point to the seed oils use to prepare the meat not the meat it self. Which there are several seminars and talks just on seed oils alone. And fiber too, with relevant clinical data.
