As part of the Overseas Chinese Study Tour I was promised a trip to Taroko Gorge National Park but it was cancelled. What a huge injustice!
So? You could've gone by yourself.

I was just there a few weeks ago, and the viewing point and cave Buddha are open, but you cannot hike up to the actual shrine.
