    Wow, it has changed so much but still beautiful. I was just a little kid last time I was there. Now in my 60’s, I need to go back to Taiwan and revisit many of these beautiful places again. Thank you for all the helpful details.

    Wow thanks for making a nice video about this area I was here 3 days ago but I missed the sunrise and the Buddha temple. and I did lots of video also but I haven’t finished yet. But I am going back to this beautiful mountain again, I think five days will be enough to see all the beautiful sights, I have not finished all the beautiful sights. And if you have time please visit Penghu Ireland is also very beautiful. Because they have a lot of fireworks in April and June , which is two months fireworks are very beautiful. I have been here in Penghu from New York for almost 7 years, Taiwan is beautiful everywhere and especially the people are very honest and very simple people.🍀🍀❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻

    Thank you for the very informative video. Hope you don't mind a few questions as I am planning a trip this July. 1.How was the weather in Chiayi and Alishan when it's not raining? Is the summer weather bearable given the high altitude (specially in the mountains)? 2. Would you recommend to stay in Chiayi also? Thank you. :)

    • @thetaiwanesegirl
      @thetaiwanesegirl  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for watching! 🙏🏽 Chiayi will probably generally be pretty hot like typical summer weather, but Alishan might be a bit cooler since it’s up in the mountains. It’s totally bearable though so definitely don’t let the weather stop you! You can either stay in Chiayi City and take the bus up to Alishan or just stay in one of the resorts in Alishan if you want to catch the sunrise/sunset. Hope that helps! 😊

    • @thetaiwanesegirl
      @thetaiwanesegirl  ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hi, did you always manage to get a seat on the alishan bus to and from your homestay to alishan national park? I am thinking of staying in a homestay outside of the park too but I am worried that I can’t get a seat on the bus since it might be crowded from chiayi station or alishan park.

    • @thetaiwanesegirl
      @thetaiwanesegirl  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! There are usually seats available from Alishan since it’s the first/last stop, but there might be a line depending on when you leave so plan ahead! From the homestay to Alishan, it’s less likely there will be seats, but the one we stayed at was only about a few stops (~30 min) away.

      @@alexlin9520 I don’t know the exact bus times but the homestay will have all that information for you when you check in. They will plan to take you to the bus stop depending on the time you choose. I think the bus comes more often in the mornings.

    Hi Eileen, may I ask if there is enough space on the bus to carry a 28" luggage? And how did you tell the driver to board/alight at the specific bus stop at the homestay? Thanks!

    • @thetaiwanesegirl
      @thetaiwanesegirl  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! I think there might be space if you are able to place it horizontally. The driver will usually open the side trunk of the bus for anyone with luggage. As for the boarding, the homestay will inform you of the different bus times and depending on which time you choose, they will plan to give you a ride to the bus stop. The bus driver will know to stop in order for you to get on.

    There's a hotel on Alishan itself. Went there in 2011. It was all very underwhelming. Didn't ride the train but the forest trail was nothing much except for some very tall, old trees. A few stalls with foreign maids used by their employers to sell stuff. Got up specially early to see the clouds/mists that was also nothing much. Back then, there was a group van that took us to see Fireflies at night on Alishan. There were some Fireflies but nothing special. No toilet so the guide allowed ladies to urinate in the darkness beside her van so no one could see & she even offered tissue paper.
