Taiwanese are so friendly and welcoming of foreign visitors. They always obliged to your requests of photo shoots.
Fortunately, you came to Hualien before the big earthquake. Nowadays, many places in Taroko have suffered landslides and are completely changed beyond recognition.
Glad you guys got to see one of my favourite spots in Taiwan before the earthquake. Sad about what happened, who knows when it’ll reopen again 😢
Wow i been there last year,im a OFW for 15 years in taiwan, when i saw your video oh men i miss taiwan already❤
As a taiwanese, I am utterly gutted to see that Taroko Gorge is now wrecked by the earthquake. It is one of the most beautiful places in Taiwan and i used to visited there yearly when I was a uni student. Really glad that you get to see the beauty of it!
12:33 This is either the five-house milestone or three-house milestone on the scenery trail. When the 7.4 magnitude earthquake happened, tourists made to these two spots are saved. The vendors also lives in the stores so the uphills above these stores have enforced by strong concrete. People that did not make to these two spots are vulnerable and some were killed by the rocks and boulders rolling from the uphill.
Thanks for documenting this, more precious than ever!
I am so jealous that you guys got to experience the beautiful Taroko National Park before the earthquakes! Great job!
Amazing views! Thank you
really majestic place, thanks for taking us along !
thanks guys :))!
@11:22 Our guide explained, that at least for the Shakadang Trail, it was originally carved into the rock by Japanese soldiers when they occupied Taiwan. The indigenous Truku (Taroko) tribe in the area were traditionally headhunters. For boys to become men and take a wife, they had to first leave the village and come back with a human head to prove that they were worthy of being men. Of course, that meant that innocent travelers or other unsuspecting locals were murdered. In order to pacify the Truku, the Japanese army blasted out the trail using dynamite to make it easer to access the mountain and transport weapons to fight them.
i love that park!!
The video is so beautiful, it's always fun to ride scooter in Taroko Gorge, enjoy Sakadan trails and suasage :)
What a beautiful park! ❤❤
miss Taroko
@14:59 - Sammy and Tommy, the color of this water is greenish-blue. Therefore the water is a Turquoise Color.
Taroko National Park is majestic beautiful and glad you guys went there and enjoyed it.
One word just beautiful
🥰🥰

🥰🥰
You guys are so sweet! Great video! 🥰
🥰🥰
So beautiful ❤❤
Beautiful❤❤
Nice to have met you guys at Taroko, hope you enjoyed the rest of your Taiwan trip! Darren (@14:00)
Thnks for upload
The color of the water is turquoise, blue-greenish color. 😁
15:20 c'mon Tommy, it's blue emeraude. Or blue sapphire. ;)

@@SammyandTommy you’ll get there!
The first time I went the ChangChun Temple is nearly 55 years ago, when I was a high school boy. Taroko national park is stunning! Sadly, 2 months ago, an earthquake destroyed or damaged a lot places in the park. You guys are smart using a rented motorcycle. It is the best way to explore Taiwan.
Me gusta el vídeo
gracias :)!
🌟
you are lucky

Sammy and Tommy usu paksu and ajaz and tokma
Turquoise! That’s the color you’d find in certain parts of the river in the Toroko National Park. I assume you took this video before the huge earthquake in April because the Shakadang Trail has been closed off since the earthquake. 🙁
Yes, thank you. Not sure why we couldn't think of the color turquoise haha. We were lucky enough to visit before the earthquake

it is Republic of China, ROC, the original and democratic China founded in 1911.
Hope you will come to mainland China, you can compare mainland and Taiwan
Stay tuned 😉
@15:09 Perhaps the color you are trying to think of is the blue-green color turquoise.
Isn't this park destroyed by earthquake in early April?
yes, it's so sad. Taiwan had lost the most precious pearl.
yes :( this was filmed the week before
Bots?
I feel like the product placement ruins the authenticity of the content.
Which is the soundtrack at 6:00 @sammyandtommy
You both were luncky enough to pay your visit to Taroko Gorge before the big earthquake. Buddha and Bodhisattva as well as God bless.
Very lucky, so devastated to see how much destruction the people and the park are going through :(
@@SammyandTommy Me too.
