Had a lithotripsy on 05AUG24... 6 mm stone in lower left pole. Had anesthesia... I actually felt fine afterwards with no pain PTL! Subsequent KUB X-ray showed NO signs of a stone. Good luck everyone!!!

I have a 25mm stone getting removed in 2 weeks with PCNL surgery. Wish I could do something more minor like these.

I have a 10 cm stone, had 4 lithotripsy sessions so far and they put a stent before the first session. 6 weeks now with the stent, haven't golfed or done much physical work in all that time. Pain in the kidney every single time that I have to go pee!

Some studies support performing ureteroscopy in some patients with just local anesthesia... that is, lidocaine jelly injected into urethra. Granted, lidocaine gel is a lousy numbing agent -- yet despite that, the studies reported that patients did well without more intrusive anesthetics. Just wondering what you think about having a ureteroscopy done sans GA or SA?

You are nuts if you think someone will accept this without Anasthesia, being put to sleep.

It's a shame we can put land people on the moon. Yet, the procedures to remove kidney stones is so painful with no new procedures are being introduced. This leads to patients not trusting the medical profession

My 8mm stone moved from the Kidneys to the Ueter today, and it hurts. Suppose it gets to the bladder, can it be removed without surgery, with shock wave?

Was wondering. Is the pain from urine backing up or the stone scratching its way down.

Lithotripsy was a waste of time and money for me. Nothing passed.

I had Lithotripsy ~2 weeks ago for a 13mm stone. I also had a 3mm stone as well in same kidney. Did not pass anything for 2 weeks until 2 days ago. I guess the 3mm stone decided to exit before the fragments of the 13mm. I had some pretty uncomfortable days as the 3mm worked its way down causing some pain, but once that passed I pretty much have fragments coming out with every pee. No pain, just small pebbles. I have had a ureteroscopy as well on my other kidney and I can tell you, if I ever get the opportunity to choose Lithotripsy vs ureteroscopy...I will choose Lithotripsy. That stent is no joke and very uncomfortable and the pain after ureteroscopy is intense for a couple of days. All that being said, the paid for these procedures is nothing compared to a stone blocking your Ureter so keep everything in context.

    I have bilateral kidney stones
Right kidney one stone 12 mm
Left kidney two.. 7 mm and 5 mm
    My doctor suggest RIRS
Is that surgery will be successfull,
Infuture any chances of return the stones
What about the kidney functions after the surgery
And what about penis fuction after surgery
Dear doctor kindly shed light on my doubts 🙏🏻🙏🏻
