I've watch the video so many times since finding it. Beautiful.
I wonder how many see that this is a visually sung video of the Underground Railroad. Escaping by the dark of the night and singing about a change is coming. Great job Avi! That's why his voice is so soulful, and one only sees that the people he is escourting to freedom is short glimpses from the torches, that they are all black with a few more whites escourting and joining in the journey to freedom. The song title says it all.

Aww Dee! I know how you feel about Avi. He's something special. He may not arguably be the deepest bass out there, but he has the smoothest and richest bass out there and I'll fight anyone who disagrees. This song, his voice. It reaches right into you and grabs your soul and gives it a good shake and you just kind of ....experience it. You can't help it. And he doesn't turn loose until the last note fades. And then you just kind of sit there. And you are not the same person you were before you heard the song. It not possible. This is a once in a career song. And I am HERE for it!! Very fitting shirt for this reaction too. It's very Game of Throwns type of video. He does all the vocals for the song. The only instruments if I remember correctly are percussion, claps and a little organ. All other sounds you hear are his voice.

Avi is back, y'all... I wasn't able to get into his new group after he left PTX but.. he's back...gotta love it. I would seriously love to hear Avi and Tim do something like this.. those barbarian vibes..oh my. This Avi, and the Tim from Misty Mountains, new fantasy in the making, lmao.
I think the second verse might have been relating to his feelings leading up to leaving Pentatonix. I love Pentatoix, but if they are going to keep doing a cappella pop versions of others' music and Avi can do this, then I'm glad he left. I can't wait until the next song he does. If you haven't heard/watched it yet, check out the Home Free cover of Ring of Fire he joined in for. He's obviously having such a great time with that and actually smiling.
