    I am using the first option on their website (100mm shorter than stock) using the RE seat cowl with a custom upholstered seat that's on a RE seat base. Also, the universal black paint matched up pretty well. Let me know if you have any questions!

      Who upholstered the seat for you? What do you think about it comfort wise? I’m looking for someone to do the same thing, considering Tuffside atm.

      @@ethan073 I actually found it on eBay. There is a company in India that upholstered factory RE seats. They have several designs and colors as well. The eBay seller is: royalspareparts. The seat is A+ quality. Comfort wise it’s about the same as the factory solo seat.

    I'd really like to install the Nuke exhaust on mine but it's impossible to bring it to Brazil without paying double its cost on shipping and tax. I got the tail kit installed though. And a bunch of other great stuff. Nice vid. Keep 'em comming!

      Honestly one of the main reasons why I chose the Nuke exhaust.

    Great video, looking to do the same thing as well. Also how were you able to mount the phone holder on the handlebar? I don't have enough space on the bar to install it.

      It took me about 3 hours total due to trying to figure out how to make the cuts without any instructions. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t cutting too much off of the bike. Wiring the brake light took longer than it should have due to the very small gauge wires the brake light came with and not working with the provided connectors. Thanks for the thumbs up!!

    Hey, thanks for the video on this! I was considering this kit, but I have a question: If the frame tubes are not welded in this kit, how do you prevent water from getting down into the frame tubes and causing rust? That's been my biggest concern when looking at modification.

    • @captainmoto206
      @captainmoto206  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ll be honest, I don’t have a good answer for that because your likely correct. I’m sure some could find its way into the frame. Honestly my plan is to not have the bike in the rain as I don’t think my seat would fair to well in the rain either. It’s not my only ride so I’ll probably avoid the rain. If this was a city commuter bike I would probably recommend staying away from this kit since their is not waterproofing around the kit.

    • @slakk5093
      @slakk5093 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah my first thought too.. I would be using silicone gasket maker to seal up that join, but still would be worried about the frame getting water in it

    • @djkid14567
      @djkid14567 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@slakk5093 I was planning on doing a strip of black vinyl wrap that would go over the joint between the fiber glass and the steel frame. I imagine if you wrap it well enough it would hide the seam and make it (at least semi) water tight.

      @@captainmoto206 Hey! Just thought I'd follow up with this. I asked a few different mechanics from custom bike shops in Austin about this job. They were saying that it's completely fine to have the subframe cut open here. It's just that most people weld it to look "cleaner". They went on to say that even if water gets inside, the frame has drain holes to let water out the bottom. Some people have used things like marine grade heat shrink wrap along the cuts. Ones like this: www.amazon.com/XHF2018-Dual-Wall-Shrink-Tubing/dp/B07FPBKVXC/ref=asc_df_B07FPBKVXC/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241968065750&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10891239871165174716&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9028257&hvtargid=pla-493171559221&psc=1
