The animation is great but I have doubts about the construction of tall skyscrapers like diamond tower, gateway towers, crystal tower etc because of airport authority of India. But I really want this city to be completed just like this animation. Let's hope for the best👍

GIFT needs airport authority of India's clearance to construct buildings up to a height of 122 metres and more. so that's why it is being delayed. But things are on the track again. I am also eagerly waiting for this project and many more. First phase of GIFT city will be completed by 2014.

similar projects are underway in several parts of the country and have progressed well enough as well. examples .. Jaypee SPorts City,(Noida) , Ansal Golf City,Lucknow(under UP hi tech city programme) , Lanco Hills (Hyderabad) , Wave City Center (Noida), New Cuffe Parade(Mumbai) not to mention entire cities of Noida , g. Noida and DLF gurgaon. but this seems to be the best.
Hey bro, factors like global meltdown and focus on developing soft infrastructure resulted in the delay. It is an entire financial city that is being developed and hence you can't expect it to come in 3-4 years. Initially, many international companies were roped in however post global meltdown many of these companies are not even in existence. This led to a delay of couple of years. However, things are getting back on track now.
Other states should speed up now or after 10 odd years the difference between Gujrat and others states will be vast!! Modi'ji getting better and better, Gujrat rocks..!!

Development happens according to investment. Buildings will be built only if private institutions want it. gov cant do anything about that, have patience. it will take 5-10 years for it to be a full fledged city

I love Gujarat too; it also runs in my blood. But don't you think GIFT sounds just a little too ambitious? The animation seems just a 'little' too over-exaggerated. It just seems too good to be true...
.-not just technologies but "right type of human elements" in making it a long term success.If new city is being built and food supply is coming from some other distant region-then its not a sustainable city.At the moment- only the Chinese are attempting to do that.I guess they have lot more money. But spaces for "such future developments should be built into this new city's area". I see more then few things missing in this development.Never the less- there's still time to make changes.
