Disagree with water transport between gandhinagar -gift city and ahmedabad bewcause i live in gandhinagar and sabarmati is seasonal river,it do not have water for 12 months.
All rivers are seasonal. What is needed is to build a dam upstream and control water flow. That is how rivers in New York London Amsterdam etc are operated as waterways.

In a bid to transform the state, the CM informed that the proposed satellite township will cater to the needs of the employees of the upcoming semiconductor plant and also decongest the capital city. He stated that Jagiroad is an upcoming tech-manufacturing hub, and suitable to establish a futuristic and sustainable city. The government will help establish it as an integrated township with all amenities, within the state capital region, along with seamless rail, road and air connectivity factored in. This would lead to the decongestion of Guwahati, which is already coping up with a burgeoning population. According to the CM, the Global City, Jagiroad will accomodate thousands of employees who will be working at the upcoming semiconductor unit.

all the major hitech cities are plannes in different locations of india some in south some in north east too and west and north so the work has been going on but we have to wait ntil 2030-35 to see the full potential or to see all the cities getting in shape

Look smart in GIFT City, but the infrastructures in most cities in India still fall far behind development. Energy supply always is the key issues, water supply is insufficient, port facilities is poor, networking in communication very much lacking behind. Indian government really need to stop animals around the city areas, and please built more more more 'Male' public toilets.

@@dholakpurkirakhi434 lol mumbai is 601 km^2. GIFT city is 1.06 km^2 you can easily make another gift city in mumbai like bkc or in navi mumbai. But we all know the reason it is in gujarat. Land of this size is easily available in navi mumbai which is increasingly becoming more industraliased and is a planned city, now with airport and atal setu its going to grow more only.
last timeline to complete the project is 2030 wait until then and newyork shanghai tokyo wasn't built in 5 years it took 20-30 years to make them and to make this we atlest require 7-8 years the work itself started some 2 years before and we already know due to covid the pace was lacking in many aspect so wait and it will be completed for sure
