1- if you think no. Of port can improve everything, so Mumbai should be the point to build another shanghai. Because in maharashtra Mumbai itself contain 53 port's and other's are rest. And that of total Gujarat contain only 40 port's.
2- In any country education and health and life style should be the first priority of improvement. And modi government have made no improvement in any of this field. They have worsen the education and life style of middle class community.
3- to make you better understanding, just answer my few question. What is the use of building another shanghai if there's no such education level? Why modi government have unleashed the trillions of loan's for Adani group, ambani group and other's. A rough total of 10 lakh crore rupees loan have been neglected by MODI government. Please answer on this question.

We are already making jet fighters to airc raft carriers to rockets and chips design and engg, superc computers and largest power generating turbines of above 1000 mw with many large corporations having huge industrial hubs all over. Pl read. This govt thinks we are in stone age. We are not and advanced one otherwise can you send our own satelliteto mars in 2010 in the first attempt? Janiye India ko first. This facility may be suitable for small scale electronic industries and not a big deal

You will find a wide variety of cuisines in Ahmedabad from authentic Japanese food to Mexican to Kathyavadi to North-east Indian. (though I admit good Locho or Khamani are difficult to find in Ahmedabad)
Ahemadabad also has IIMA,
NIFT, AMA,PRL, NHL medical and so many other nationality acclaimed universities .
We even have an ISRO!
People travel from all over the world to attend these leading to a lot of cultural diversity.
Ahemadabad is called Manchester of India... Textile hub...

Well, It can't be strategic from sea point of view. But it can be strategic through rail and road point of view. It also kind of, falls between Delhi and Mumbai.
Also, Many industries are developing in Pithampur, which is a future industrial hub near Indore.
But I won't say that Dholera project is a total waste. I mean, It is not at all a waste. It is a very intelligent investment. Making a major manufacturing hub at the coast is an excellent idea.

About 70% population lives in villages. If urban population increases to even 50%, it will cause a huge stress on cities. Our cities are already choked. No infrastructure can save them if migration is not reduced or diverted to small cities. We need to build at least 20 new cities specially in coastal areas with port facilities. China has built at least 50 such cities.
