I bought an AIM controller after seeing your previous review. Within 2 weeks I had an issue with the Smart triggers. The left trigger kept sticking. I returned it to AIM, had the Smart triggers removed and got the controller back within 10 days. Fantastic customer service, and now I'm so happy with the controller. Definitely recommend the AIM.

My smart triggers are terrible but I do not want to use a custom controller with normal triggers ;(

Just giving another update on why to AVOID this company at all costs!
I just waited 1 month and 15 days for my controller to be repaired and returned to me.
I just received it today AND it is in worse shape than it was before!
The left trigger stop does not function whatsoever, and the trigger is completely faulty.. right out of the box again!
They clearly did not even test the controller prior to sending it back out to me.
I even paid an extra $15 for a rubber coating which was not even applied to my controller.
AIM has completely scammed me and told me there are no refunds, only repairs.
I just waisted $450 and 2 months of my time, and NEVER even have gotten to USE THE CONTROLLER! 💀

I've had problems with Aim controllers since day 2 sent my controller back to the Aim when I got it back it worked good after a few days again I had another malfunction involving the back buttons and controller not being able to charge only working while plugged in. Ive sent it back more than 3 times and it's always the same they refuse to give me a new unit and take no accountability. Would not recommend.

@esteban123456esti I can't say that I would. Both remotes from aim that I ordered have broken trigger stops and came with insane stick drift that had to be calibrated out of the box. They are very nice looking and feeling in my opinion and for the brief amount of time that they both functioned properly they were absolutely great. Unfortunately for the price the remote lasted about 4 months before I had issues with mine. I'm 30 years old and strictly only play on the weekends so not heavy use and not mistreated. As a matter of fact my 2nd remotes trigger stop broke the very 1st time I switched it over lmao

Solid review, see my dual sense edge got stick drift which I bought for the sole purpose of being able to swap the thumb modules only to find out that Sony is in some sort of lawsuit or something and you literally can't find the stick anywhere aside from scalpers on eBay. I sent the controller back to Sony for repair and unfortunately fortunately ups lost the damn thing in shipment and is cutting me a check for the price of the controller new, so I told myself I'm not going back to something that has potential for drift. After combing your content for reviews on all the ps5 pro controllers I'm sold on this one. Hall sticks, adjustable triggers, 4 back paddles, custom design, lifetime warranty, checks all the boxes. You sir have gained a subscriber. Good stuff!!

Hi man idk if you will see this message but I am looking to buy an Aim Controller, I actually have one with the V1 paddles but that has stick drift and is 3 years old now,

    • @rosschilds9627

@@TheJigSawX well i just ordered mine, it has a 30 day build time due to the hall effect sticks they offer now so i wont have it in hand for my comment on the paddles, but my thought process: The triggers are adjustable for different game types similar to the edge I am moving on from and in the highest setting the triggers have a mouse click for fps games which ill be using a lot for destiny 2. They now added hall effect sticks which is why the build takes so long but just having hall effects ensures stick drift will never be a problem again (in theory) lol throw in the custom design and lifetime warranty, and the new aim controller was a no brainer in my opinion, when coming from a dual sense edge controller. No to mention easy remapping for the 4 paddles, if its weird at first ill just have to play with it long enough to get used to it.

Like in this Video Gamerheaver showed us we can use our Middle finger to press all 4, but I have OCD about these things! 😂
I have used a lot of Customer Controllers from Battle Beaver, Scuf and Aim themselves back when PS5 Launched!
My fav Paddle design was from Scuf, all 4 are very easy to press and how you grip the controller isn’t impacted!
But everyone goes on about Aim and I did love their first iteration so Idk! 😅
Hall effect is a huge selling point for me but I also want to be comfortable using all 4 without any hindrance! 😅

Yeah the Dualsense Edge module replacements have apparently gone extinct. I refuse to pay 3-4x the price from the scalpers, some of whom are even trying to pass off knockoff/imitation modules, most likely from Ali Baba, on the pretext they are original PS Edge modules for 3-4x the normal price too.

For anyone interested in an Aim Controller with the Hall effect sticks - I reached out to ask about warranty coverage and whether these would be covered under the warranty. The representatives told me that the warranty terms for the Hall Effects are still being finalized and the site should updated by the time the first batch of units heads out in mid-April. So early adopters might not know, and others will have to wait to see what they decide.

Here’s my review for people thinking about getting an aim controller. The dual sense edge is the only pro controller I’ve used and I wanted to branch out so I ordered an aim based on the reviews from this channel. My review summed up: I will not be using my brand new $400 aim controller over my dual-sense edge. I added on mouse click face buttons and Hall effect sticks to the aim controller. I waited a month to receive it and out of the box my first impression was it feels and looks super cheap. The mouse click face buttons are loose and they rattle really bad, I was let down by how they feel. The rear paddles are less responsive/ harder to press than the dualsense edge. The mouse click triggers require more pressure to aim and shoot and they don’t feel consistent. You also have to overclock the aim controller (3.5ms) get the same latency as a stock dualsense edge (0.5ms). Tested both with DS4 on a wired connection. Save your time and money and pass on these controllers. Super let down.

I mostly use (double) claw grip, but even when I am not, my middle fingers are always on the triggers so the issue you are having with the back pedals might not arise for people holding the controller similar to how I am accustomed to.

  • @jngl309
    @jngl309 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The biggest issue with this controller is that backpaddles break easily. My paddles broke within 6 weeks. Of course they send me new paddles so it’s just annoying that I had to go a week without the paddles. Another thing I don’t like is tha placement of the back paddles since one finger goes over two paddles at the same time. This can take some time to get used to. Another thing is the triggers with the fast trigger switch. They tend to hurt my finger when I use them a lot. What I do like however is that you can easily switch the left and right thumbstick. Another good thing is the lifetime warranty (not for stickdrift). I have been using this controller for 10 weeks and the paddles have broken twice. Other than that I haven’t had any stickdrift and the controller works fine. It also only took me 5 days to replace the backpaddles so they have great costumer service.

    • @TheAnointedOne7
      @TheAnointedOne7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

wow, very well played by this company. they're very aware of the stick drift issue in controllers in general, so of course they don't add stick drift/thumb sticks under the warranty policy. and the thumb sticks are EASILY one of the most vulnerable parts on any controller. what a cheeky little company ehh, they want you to spend $200+ for a custom controller that will inevitably fail to stick drift and be rendered useless afterwards. just for you to go back and buy another custom controller for $200+ again ... what a joke. why would anyone want this over the DualSense Edge which has removable/replaceable thumb sticks, so that whenever stick drift is an issue, it's just an easy fix and not costing $200+ to replace, more like around $50 for new thumb sticks

The back button placement is my number one concern for a pro controller. It’s gotta be near perfectly ergonomic for me. That’s why I went with the Victrix bfg. I absolutely don’t regret it either. (If the edge had 4 buttons I would have gone with it.)
I watched damn near all of of your pro ps5 controller reviews. I was thinking about going with the ones with actual buttons on the back, but they had different placement options that I had no idea if they would work for me. I didn’t want to pay 200+ for one and the button placement that I chose be in the wrong place.
The bfg isn’t a perfect controller but I’ve had no issues with it after 10 weeks so far. I love it.
I really hope you can get your hands on the “Besavior” controller by Beloader. The back paddles on it look very ergonomic.

I bought an Aim Controller after your last review/video. The only issue was the packaging. The plastic that holds the controller in the box was totally destroyed, but luckily the controller was fine. The controller is the best controller i have ever used, and i have 25+ controllers in total + all the controllers i owned before the xbox 360/ps3 era. Would recommend this controller to everyone. Might even buy another one, to get the new trigger stops!
Also, would totally recommend getting the Razer universal grips. The big hexagon grips fits very well on the triggers for more grip, and the smaller ones fit on the 4 back buttons/pedals.

NO!" but if you have the proper documents they wave the duty fees "Its just a pain in the nuts trying to get DHL to understand it", so warranty repair out of pocket total $34 dollars CAD ship out cost, $30 USD 90 plus days of ownership repair, $30 USD Shipping return, Total for warranty repair is $115 CAD, Great Controller minimal use 1 failure pretty much half way there on purchasing a new custom controller after warranty repair.

I have another one I bought last year with the pro back like you showed, but no triggers, and the old version paddles, the new one is much better! Glad you got one and made a video because this is a game changer! I'm mad though, they sent me a 3' cable... not 10'.. it's useless.

I've experienced stick drift on every single controller I've owned, the lifetime warranty is almost worthless if it doesn't cover the main issue that occurs with controllers. I was gonna buy one until I learned this. The only other thing that has failed on 2 of my elites is the right bumper. Big pass until they add modular thumbsticks or start covering thumbstick drift. Great video though !

What Lifetime warranty? My joystick stated tweekong out hard, so they quoted me 150$ USD after shipping to replace it. I can just about buy a new one.
The old back paddles got so loose that they barely work anymore. Also the back grip is falling off and looks very stained. But maybe the new paddles work better.
ALSO I bought the longer thumbsticks, but those thumbsticks would easily fall off...... so I had to glue it on. But then I noticed their thumbsticks literally were wearing right off and disintegrating, leaving tiny pieces of colored rubber all over my hands and play area. I had to pit aftermarket covers onto them to stop that wear.
    Overall, extremely unimpressed.

Just received my AIM Pro PS5 Controller and I am feeling extremely let down.
The Smart Triggers are inconsistent and do not register every click..
When I press both thumb sticks in, it causes my start menus to pop up in game.
The input delay and responsiveness is awful compared to my Dualsense Edge and other controllers.
My touch bar looks not placed correctly and you can see the insides of the controller through the gap.
My menu buttons are mushy and look stuck inside the controller plate. Very difficult to push.

The left trigger stop does not function whatsoever, and the trigger is completely faulty.. right out of the box again!

I even paid an extra $15 for a rubber coating which was not even applied to my controller.

@@shootingbangers7375 So I've bought the new Razer, the Victrix, the DS edge, a Scuf Reflex FPS, and waiting on a maxed out HYPR atm.
So far, the Victrix is my most used. It's almost perfect, only thing missing is shift key functionality (which we may eventually get). Also the curve on the triggers is a bit intense, but overall solid 9.9/10. Best officially licensed controller I've used overall, and also somehow the cheapest. People say it feels "cheap" because it's lightweight, but a controller being lightweight just means you can play with it longer before your hands get tired.
The Scuf is EXTREMELY worthwhile if you get the same deal I did (maxed out for 240$), because having the rumbles and haptics removed makes the controller weigh almost nothing. The grips are super comfortable, literally most comfortable grip I've ever felt on a controller, the triggers are 10/10. The only complaint I have is the paddle positioning is ass, you're forced to only use your middle fingers, and the two inner buttons hurt your fingers in a long session.
