I was hoping you'd say that the game changer about it is that it uses Hall Effect sensors instead of Carbon Wipers for it's potentiometer. Theoretically, it will never suffer from stick drift since it's magnetic
Exactly. THATS GAME CHANGING. However it's like the cure to cancer. Why would they fix such a ground breaking issue when it makes them even MORE millions in repairs a year
exactly. thats why i got the new ps5 dual sense edge that at least has the replaceable thumb sticks. got tired of buying scuff after scuff because of insane stick drift
you and the whole controller scene this pad is a major L NEW IS HALL EFFECT the first outer scuff battlebeaver aim and whoever that deoes that will win who wants a stream deck built in lol no thanks
Yes and no. It will show a “stick drift” but it will either be a spring issue or simply that it needs recalibrated. We currently use Hall effect sensor style gimbals in rc controllers and very seldom are there issues. 1. Spring broke. 2. It needs recalibrated. (which is super easy to do via the computer) 3. Someone took it apart and didn’t put it back together right. (It’s usually this one lol) Arguably Hall effect sensors are 100x better than the current sensors they have in these gaming controllers and not much more expensive if at all.
2 changes that would make this controller perfect for me. First, I need Hall Effect sensors. It's time we actually address stick drift. Sure, you can play around it, but we have the tech to avoid stick drift so lets avoid that. Second, I need the software to standardize and bridge aim response curves and sensitivity between games. Every game has linear response curve. Utilize that as a baseline and use controller side software to tweak aim response curve and sensitivity. Have a built in conversion system so that the aim feels the same between games. For instance, I LOVE the dynamic response curve in COD, but it is COD specific and it makes it difficult for me to bounce over to Apex or other games. SCUF and Corsair are large enough that they can and should invest in their software to standardize the feeling of aim between games with a robust system that gives a wide variety of options. Those two changes would be absolute game changers and would put SCUF head and shoulders above the competition. Edit: Nvm I guess Hall Effect sensors are actually lowkey trash right now. I appreciate y’all who enlightened me on the reality of them.
Is the Stick response curve in the menu not unilateral? I sort of assumed it was, I agree that Hall Effect sensors would make this a better controller though.
Hell effect are not the endgame you think they are. They do fail, and just as often. The issue is when they do fail, its not drift, they just stop working all together. If you think these companies are ignoring HE sensors, they are not. a few have even said they have not been able to fit any hall effect sensors that stand up to their durability/reliability tests.
@@EmberGT3 I could be wrong, but I think it is all about profits as opposed to fixing the issue. I still play my original Sega Dreamcast every now and then which I bashed around back in the day. Majority of my controllers still work, and from memory I am sure they used Hall effect sensors on their analog stick and triggers.
@@EmberGT3 they could be the endgame though. potentiometer sensors have been the main sensors used for gaming and with that comes innovation however tech can hit a peak and that's exactly what's happening with potentiometer sensors. a lot of people use the analogy of one step forward 2 steps back but sometimes you have to take those 2 steps back in order to go forward. and NO that's not to say that people should put up with bad reliability and durability but you should at least give it a chance to improve on such things because in theory if you do allow it to improve on such things it will completely surpass potentiometer sensors in every way. lastly I believe that biggest reason why companies will not make the switch to hall effect sensors nor will they innovate them is because of profit. why as a corporation would you switch to hall effects sensors that could potentially last decades over potentiometers that regularly forcing the consumer to shell out haver 40 to 50 bucks.
Looks cool especially those side buttons. I refuse to buy a controller that doesn’t allow for the replacement of the thumb stick module however, ps5 edge and thrustmaster for example. It’s a game changer to battle stick drift and scuf needs to get on board.
I can confirm keybinds, macros were working first week and are no longer working. Not to mention the slide and dive option was one of the reasons I bought this controller and can't even set that up. Many others are having the same issues in the community..
Update: after uninstalling and reinstalling Icue, everything works as it should. I guess I had some bug happened which was causing the mappings to not be detected. Hope this helps others and hopefully icue can fix their issues asap!
A great budget enhanced controller with magnetic Hall Effect thumbsticks is the Gulikit Kingkong 2 Pro controller. It has two paddles on the back, the thumbsticks have absolutely no deadzones, I've been using it for almost a year and still zero deadzones with zero stick drift.
Cool. This is a video on a near $200 custom controller, the gulikit lacks so much compared to this. We’ve all been using pot controllers for 20+ years, it’s really not a big deal. Rather have pots and all the other features than a low end HE.
Scuff warranty is really terrible bro. I haven’t even had my Scuff instinct, pro controller for a year and it broke. Paid $80 to get it repaired and the same left stick stopped working again after like 5 months and they want me to pay again to repair it smh. They won’t even fix it again as a courtesy.
this controller seems perfect. I always thought that 2 or even 4 extra buttons are not enough. the main problem tho is that controller doesn't have hall effect sticks, so we will get stick drift for sure. it's a big deal for us, with all the respect for you @IceManIsacc, imagine buying a controller and having a stick drift after a couple of months... we're not getting it for free...
Honestly i dont get how people get stick drift so easily. Ive had 3 ps4 controllers (replaced for worn out thumbsticks and some button issues) and i have a scuff vantage 2 ive had for almost 3 years and it still has 0 stick drift
It’s completely random when it starts to show up, the controller industry knows and this is why their warranties are short. The likelyhood that your controller will drift after warranty only increases as time goes on, and they only have to replace a few small % of the total.
I’m playing warzone and bought a regular ps5 controller and had stick drift after couple of months. And I’m pretty sure people using tactical layout (right analog stick to slide) suffers more from stick drift.
Bought this controller about a month ago now and no update has been released to fix the issue many are currently facing. This post may get deleted but I do want to warn you guys that Corsair is having issues with the controller. I’d recommend holding off from purchasing it for now till more TH-cam influencers speak about this matter and say the issue has been noticed and fixed. Just a heads up, because many are saying the past update bricked their controller. The issue I face is I can’t update mine and my back paddles forget what key binds I’ve set.
Extra buttons side and front look awesome. Software allowing mapping of all kb buttons is awesome. I'm shocked more controller companies haven't created software that allows KB mapping features until now. It won't take other companies long to create their own software if this product is a success. Adding extra keys is more of a cost and timing delay so in that regard SCUF will have a longer time advantage if this model is a success. Creating a product that only works with PC could be a risk but the sales will decide that question. Thanks for the vid!
im not sure if you've ever used any controllers from China,kb mapping is pretty popular right now in gaming companies from China and as much as i remember the first time kb mapping controller were made by a company called flydigi like one year ago,and now bigbigwon is also following up and many companies are also doing the same thing, u can surf flydigi and bigbigwon if u wanna get to know them ,they good controllers with cheap price
You are able to map the rear buttons to keyboard inputs on the elite series 2 through steam input (which is free) or rewasd (paid). Both of those softwares can also allow you to remap regular buttons on any controller to keyboard inputs, but not the rear buttons as they directly map to face buttons.
Good point. I've heard of some workarounds but having the software integrated with the controller makes it easy even for people that aren't that skilled with a computer. @@Adam-pk7go
I’ve been through 3 scufs during the BO3 and BO4 days. They used to be my go to choice of custom controllers. Just overall improved my gameplay with the addition of paddles & etc. My complaint that i always had w these controllers was the durability. Paddles randomly giving out, not responding to clicks. Stick Drift randomly occurring & such. My last controller was the Impact & that controller failed on me after 3 weeks. Paddles just not working anymore. Since then i’ve switch to battle beaver and can’t say i’ve had issues in terms of durability. Although, this controller does look intriguing & I kinda wanna see what it’s all about.
Yeah bruh donot buy this controller pls I’ve had it since Christmas and my right trigger registers twice or sometimes not at in the digital tap trigger mode and it already had stick drift out the box and the softwares a pain in the ass it’s so confusing and my controller randomly disconnects even in wired mode and my sticks input curve randomly changes so that it makes my sensitivity like three times slower it sucks
There's actually a little tool that comes with the envision pro to pop off those paddles. It shouldn't be too difficult to blow out any dust/debris. There's a little guide live on the site now.
Recently got mine yesterday and it’s an awesome controller. My only problem with the ergonomics of the controller is the palm grips, if they were a little longer this would have been perfect!
I’ll give you a couple more cons: can’t map all controller buttons freely (e.g. open map button); back lower button is too stiff (why not a button like the top one).
Yep, i stopped watching after i didnt hear any reference to hall effect. Sweet it has all those feature but doesnt matter when i get drift in a year and im out $180 after a year.
Yeah its crazy that mainbrand controller companies not have Hall Effect yet. That is needed because stick drift is never covered. Personally I like scuf but I LOVE the ps4 controller and it is one of the jenkiest things to get working on windows. I personally use the 8bitdo switch controller on pc. Sure no digital triggers BUT it is Hall Effect Sticks and got it on sale @@philmeister
@@philmeister 100%. i''ve purchased an 8bitdo bluetooth controller because it has the hall effects and a pair of back paddles for a fraction of the price of this and im very happy with it.
Stick drift is not a real issue lol keep your thumb on the stick. Ive been playing on my elite 2 for over 5 years and if I purposefully try to make it drift on a 0.03 deadzone it will barely drift a little bit lol it does not affect your aim in any way. Only thing that can be annoying about it is that it will throw you around the menu thats it.
I have the PS4 KF on mine and they’re not exactly tight. If I’m in a gunfight and I react too quickly, the left one falls off. It’s been happening a lot to me and I’ll lose fun fights. I don’t think they designed this to use with KF. I put mine on this controller because I’m so use to using them. I may take them off and just deal with not having them on it.
Please do a step by step to setting up keyboard bindings for this in warzone. I followed as closely as I could in the video and set keyboard binds for the back paddles but it won’t pick them up in warzone.
I have tried a scuf controller in the past and it feels like extremely cheap hunk of plastic. On the other hand, the Xbox elite 2 controller is like a diamond crafted from the gaming gods. Truly elite quality feeling. And the charging box it comes with is amazing. This new scuf seems nice with the side panels and new G buttons or whatever they are.
Everything except the triggers and the fact they come with stick drift right away is a big no no for me . Quality of the outside means nothing when the quality of the inside is trash .
i have the series 2 but was looking at the reflex fps for the trigger switches. envision is lacking some of those features so seems like if you don't care about remapping shit other options are better
@@himboslice_ The muting and remapping and everything on this new envision controller seems awesome! Just don't know if the construction quality will be good enough to my standards. Like the Xbox Elite 2 is fire
@trimotionmedia5487 I've had an elite 2 as my main controller for like 2-3 years now. I just bought this one today. I really hope it's able to surpass my elite. I have a $200+ Scuff PS4 controller with all the upgrades bells and whistles and it's collecting dust, used it maybe twice but ran back to my elite 2, if this time isn't any different they ain't getting my money ever again lol.
I would love this controller in the Xbox format, offset sticks just feel better to me, I had a Vantage and a Vantage 2 and I loved them for the side buttons but I found myself always going back to the Xbox style controllers because of the sticks.
First time im watching one of your videos. Ive never seen a video go this in depth on a controller. Still finishing the video but keep doing what you are doing. Dropped a like and subbed. Cant wait to see what other things you review. 13:01
The absolute must haves for a modern controller are: * Back buttons. * Hall effects sticks and analogue triggers. * Gyro. * Fully remapable buttons. * Ability to map the gyro to sticks, triggers, or even mouse. * Hair triggers with travel limiters. Anything less it's just a controller like many others. Not every system has Steam Input, we need the ability to map anything to almost anything in controller too. This SCUF controller is a nice controller like many others, but it doesn't have a lot of things that would make it really stand out.
I love the thought process behind it. I just don’t want to spend all that money to be upset with the thumb configuration. I’ve been doing something for 15 years. I don’t know if I want to change it. I’m so comfortable with the old thumb layout I’m sure it could be advantageous, but for me I don’t think I could purchase it just based on that. Does anyone else agree with me or have a similar feeling
I’ve switched back and forth and it isn’t hard to get used to. I used Xbox style controllers for over 15 years before switching to symmetrical sticks and will never go back to asymmetrical. Back button position is harder to get used to than stick position
I have the Gamesir with Hall Effect sensor sticks. Not as fancy as the scuf, but the sticks don't use pots. Seems like most controllers should be using hall effect sensor sticks in the future?
It would be nice if consoles reacted to this by allowing additional keys and upgrading furthermore their controllers like the DualSesnse Edge. Be nice if i could have extra buttons istead of 2 for same key action
@@JabviConsoles will never do this since it would require them to bundle their high end controllers in with the consoles since basic controllers would be useless
@@miliyn17 I don't agree on that. I think we all know consoles been always more directed to casual gamers but they are slowly adding more options for players who care a little bit more about gaming and it's great to have options. Not everyone will care about a more advanced controller just as no one complained about the the DualSesnse Edge not being sold with the ps5
@@Jabvi no one complained about the edge because it didn’t have the ability to add inputs, just replicate existing inputs to multiple buttons. What you are asking would never happen because it would be too much of an advantage to be able to map specific actions to buttons and increase the number of inputs. Sony would fragment their playerbase and enrage them if they had a controller that could for example have a dedicated prone button instead of having to hold the crouch button.
can you make a video tutorial with your warzone settings and synching up with the controller enabling the slide/dive individually mapping it. can't seem to get mines to work like you'res, thank you
@@joshhastings5516yeah bro. Hopefully he notice this and address it. Slide canceling dead but would be nice to know the settings to input on the scuf to just slide.
I switched to PC around eight years ago. As a PC player that only uses controllers for sports games I will say this definitely does look like the best overall controller yet. As far as game performance though, with so many games being cross platform these days, you're at the mercy of how the developers implement the aim assist for controller players in their games more so than what specific controller you're using. Based on videos I've watched showing how the aim assist works in different games soon it won't matter if you're using a $200 controller or an old tv remote with the way some games track for you. Lol
@@Six-bw3ir never said it was shameful. Just not gonna take anything he says seriously about the controller since he’s paid to promote it… great products don’t need advertising.
Got the instinct pro recently after 2 Xbox elite 2s over 3 years. So far the scuff instinct pro has been super impressive. If the controller holds up over time it’ll easily be the best one I’ve ever owned. There are little things I wish they’d improve or take from the elite: I really dig the back buttons but feel like only two are usable and the carrying case on the elite with the built in charger is sneaky good.
Do you feel like only two paddles are useable because of where they are located compared to the elite 2 paddles? That’s one thing I have a tough time with other controllers with paddles. None seem to be as smooth as the elite 2 when it comes to comfort and ease of use for all 4 paddles.
@@1SlyGuy I wasn’t crazy about the elite paddles either because it felt a little bit of a stretch, but I think all 4 paddles were manageable. With the Instinct Pro, it feels like the 2 paddles inside on the handles are perfect, but to hit the paddles on the base back of the controller you have to do this weird forward motion. What I wish they or someone would do is put all 4 paddles or buttons on the stalks of the controller so your fingers can hit all 4 at once or individually. With the scuff it feels like to do a bunch of rapid button pushes would be difficult while keeping thumb on joystick because of that forward motion. Hope that makes sense. Still with the two buttons I’ll set one for jumping and one for slide canceling. Just wish the one of the forward motion buttons I could use for hitting someone (this is speaking on Warzone/cod) but I’m not sure it’s too fluid that way.
I feel the same way. The 2 underside buttons that you have to push forward are a dealbreakers for me. The scuf is built better and wins in every other aspect. I played with the scuf for a while, but went back to the elite 2 for that reason.
@@jacquelinecapri9196 hopefully they’ll do a new version one day that corrects it. You could have two buttons that your ring finger could trigger on the inside of the stalk of the controller. Would be phenomenal. Then get the new tech coming out that allows for stick drift replacement motors.
Love the videos Isaac. Unfortunately both of my scufs have broken multiple times now and I'm tired of it. Bought a Battle Beaver ps5 and it has now outlasted both of my scufs combined.
Hate to hear that, but can't blame you! Glad your new controller is treating you better! Were those PS4 SCUFs? Or PS5 SCUFs? I know a lot of people had bad luck with the PS4s, but I've heard rave reviews on the PS5 gen.
@@IceManIsaacMy PS5 came built poorly. Pieces didn’t fit well together so it would squeak and creak. I sent it in for repair and it came back a little better but not much. Later on the stick drift went insane on me. It was past warranty so had to just give it up. I’m rocking the Dual Sense Edge now because if the sticks go bad I can just swap them out myself!
I love the look of this controller. Off the review I bought one. Less than two days ago it arrived. The icue mapping did not work. Hardware mapping worked but then reset back constantly. After 6 hours of troubleshooting and following every guide Corsair put out for this. Now the controller just stopped powering on altogether. Waiting on an RMA now. Here’s hoping the next one works. Because I still want to try it.
12:24 this is actually really cool that you can change the response curve but also know if this is one of the only selling points you can also change response curve on DS4/5. I also want to know more about the latency on the controller. What’s the Hz stock. If it can be overclocked. If it needs LoM HIDUSBF. What’s the max overclock from 1000hz to 8000hz? I think most games including MW2 have an auto run setting for controller. Since this is a PC controller you can always mute different audios by using a key on the keyboard like “M”which you can do in game, not really a selling point for me. Side controller buttons (the ones to ping or whatnot) aren’t new. No Hall effect thumbsticks, seems like they still would like to create a problem, sell a solution. It’s good that you can’t create macros that are unfair W there. Also the pricing is not bad.
Perfect controller! Only if it had hall effect sticks. PlayStation style sticks, great rear button placements, short trigger stops 😘 One issue I had is that the control freaks thumbstick hooks come into contact with the faceplate
As a mnk player always wanted a controller that would make the transition as easy as possible and this is it. Well done scuff 👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻 And great video Isaac, as usual 🫡
this isn't it. at this price it should absolutely have hall effect and it should also have gyro if you want something that can actually compete with mnk (with practice of course).
They have a point for $170 without Hall effect is not good. Hall effect gives the controller more durability towards stick drift. I personally want this controller but worried about stick drift problems
I might have to get one! I have 4 of the SCUF vantage controllers, been using those since they released in 2018. I don’t think I’d be able to play with a controller that doesn’t have 4 paddles & 2 side action bumpers. I love the side action bumpers which are very useful as they sit where your index fingers naturally rests on the controller. It was a game changer especially for Fortnite which has so many input controls & even more so after they added new mechanics. I’d been running extra binds/buttons nearly 5 years now by using Anti Micro software which allows you to bind any Keyboard or Mouse buttons to any controller buttons. When playing on PC with the Vantage, Anti Micro allowed me to have extra inputs because I could use the other buttons that would normally be bound to PlayStation console actions. You have all your regular buttons/bumpers/Dpad & triggers along with the 2 extra side action buttons, then it opened up the use of being able to bind the PS Home button & the Share button which gives you 4 extra binds to utilize. I was able to bind unused directional pad buttons to mouse scroll wheel for scroll wheel reset & map it to a paddle. I have my instant edit & scroll wheel reset paddles mapped side by side so it makes it super fast & efficient to edit & reset quickly without ever taking my thumb off the Aim or Movement sticks. That’s the biggest problem with controller, it’s the fact that controllers for so long has been limited by the number of inputs/buttons. The controllers for the most part haven’t evolved with the complex multi action mechanics that many games utilize.
This is what its like to have this controller. Got everything set up, independent slide, crouch etc. Man im about to kill em, "I thought". Final circle in warzone and the whole damn controller reset itself! Everything stopped working except the front buttons. We still won the game but my partner didnt understand the struggle i was going through. This thing did this to me about 5 times on diifferent days before I unplugged the damn thing and now returning to best buy. Back to my Edge controller!
Basic commands work well. But I can’t get key binds to work in Warzone at all unless the “aim input” is set to mouse, but then I can’t use my right thumb stick. There has to be something we’re missing
@@WolfpackDentist same! I can't get a single key bind to work on any paddle or side button. Anytime I try to map a specific key it just says "B" on my screen like I'm pressing B on my keyboard instead of the correct key bind I mapped. I have NO idea how to fix this problem at all and would love to hear how he did it.
All these are really great, but how about stick drift ? I am happy to pay for a controller at this price range, but the real question is how often.....
2 years. I've sent my reflex back twice in the first year now. Which sucks, but at least they replaced it. Pity that they have to though since better tech is there.
great video , thank you , just for your information, for us europeans, the pro black version is 199.99 euro which is about 216 USD excl shipping of about 15 USD and 1-2 weeks delivery
Got this controller but have found myself and others having lots of issues mapping it. A in depth tutorial would be nice. Issues so far are a simple as when I map my paddle to say up on the d-pad it doesn’t work, or when I map slide in advanced movement to c on my keyboard it doesn’t work with my keyboard or the controller?
I'm getting the same thing. @IceManIsaac we could use some help figuring this out. The keybinds for slide and dive are not working for people. They dont work on keyboard OR on the controller, even after remapping them to different keys, buttons, etc. Did Call of Duty stop allowing us to set specific keys for slide and dive?
Two things. First and most importantly, using mnk inputs for some games takes away/lowers aim assist (ex. halo). Will the binding to a keyboard affect that? Does Scuff have resources on what how it affects games outside of cod. Second, how many miss clicks happen on the side buttons? I personally really like Razers 'third' set of paddles being on the top of the controller next to the triggers
I'm pretty happy with my Dualsense Edge. I like having the security of knowing that if I experience stick drift I can change that out on the fly. Not to mention it has the same triggers that the scuff controller you are reviewing. And I always keep them at mouse click.
@@ctestdummy83 I've had mine since launch and have had no issues with grips peeling off. Now yes there is some discoloration on the grips but that is within expected tolerance.
@@ctestdummy83 I hate to admit this but I've used it enough to have changed out the right thumbstick twelve times and the left only four times. But I'll admit this too "cleaning the back grips is kinda hard to do delicately and takes an hour per side"😔
Great review! I’m curious if you have any knowledge or could recommend a version with offset thumbsticks (Xbox layout) for those of us that prefer that style. That’s one of the reasons that made the Vantage so unique as the symmetrical thumbsticks don’t always feel the most comfortable for people.
Another great budget option with Hall Effect thumbsticks is the "8bitdo Ultimate Controller". Two paddles on the back, great controller with excellent zero dead zone thumbsticks.
I like how the software is kinda like the steam controller config, for those that play controller on apex and use steam configs know that i am talking about. binding your face buttons to keyboard inputs to do things like instantly holster etc. this is a really nice more for scuf and them getting bought out by corsair has really improved their production im excited to see the things people are gonna do with this now.
Great video! would love to see one on your custom keybinds, and reasoning behind selection and mapping. / do's and dont's for first time Scuf users / PC to Controller converts
@@dklien6443 Hall effect sticks are magnetic and are virtually stick drift proof, they end up being much more durable than normal potentiometer analog sticks
Hey Iceman, I usually don’t comment on videos and I know this video is old and I just came back here to tell you you should warn people about this method on Warzone. Close friend of mine has been on a shadowban loop since he bought the envision and we were wondering for months about the whys and the hows because he is not a huge sweaty player. He only average 2kd and 10-15 kills a game. Turns out after months of digging we just came to the conclusion that the icue software where keyboard and controller buttons are simultaneously binded makes the game think he was using dual input (keyboarding). Ive seen alot of people using the envision on reddit with keyboard and controller buttons binds being in shadowbanned loop also. I think its in the terms of cod too that you cant use dual input.
14:03 So I got the controller, but I'm wondering how you got your Auto Run to work. From your screenshare, I can tell that you have it set to a simple keybind, but did you make it so that it continuously holds down the 'W' until you press G5 again (like a toggle for the 'W' key), or is it mapped to another key that Warzone understands to be an "auto run" toggle? I'm hoping it's the former so that I can make it work in other games, like Elden Ring, that don't have a bult-in auto-run toggle-- BUT I can't find a way in icue to set a custom mapping to a toggle. Older icue forums will say "just enable 'imitate holding key'," but I can't find such an option anywhere (I'm wondering if it's only available for Corsair keyboards and mice).
I really like all the features this contoller has, but the fact they dont have Hall Effect sticks with a controller in this price range is UNACCEPTABLE when you can get a GameSir controller for $40 with most of these features. This controller will get stick drift in a bout a couple of months. I tossed my Elite controller 2 in the trash after i got the GameSir, best controller ive used hands down.
Ive never got into controllers as Im a PC gamer...This video was my introduction into the world of controllers...because i know Im missing out on an extra immersive experience in many of these games. I normally just use it for 3rd person games. I'll consider investing in these.
Just received it two weeks ago. Been playing around with the dead-zones, joysticks etc. yeah it’s great bc you can map it but I like my reflex better. Just feels more responsive and my aiming feels better. My reflex is over clocked as well.
I really like the idea of this controller along with the g key feature. But i'm definitely not buying until I see some long term reviews, Scuf is hit and miss
I've used it everyday for 4 months. That's probably more hours than you'd put on a controller over an entire year considering I game 8+ hours a day 😅 totally appreciate your skepticism though. SCUF definitely had some reliability issues with their early controllers (I addressed that a few times in the vid).

Just received mine a few days ago. It takes getting used to gripping it just right so that those side buttons aren't pressed by accident. But this controller is simply amazing. I'm performing better than mnk on ranked consistently
After just a week of use, its impact on my gaming experience has been nothing short of transformative. I reconfigured the triggers to RB and LB, resulting in a significantly more comfortable and faster gaming experience.
I’m going to wait and see the official word from COD on this specific controller. I have a feeling they might not allow it because of the people that will abuse the macros setting
i had a bad experience with scuf a long time ago where i had a controller mess up a month or so after i got it and never got a single reply from customer support and i was so confused but this still looks really nice!
Can you walk us through how you setup the macro to slide cancel? Didn’t quite understand that part and feel like that would be a great thing for me to have! Appreciate it man
2 mins in and just heard you say you're an ex airforce pilot. SICK ASF. I'm a civilian pilot about to start applying for airlines. I aspire to be as cool as you and thanks for helping me make the decision to buy this controller.
The next time my ELITE controller breaks, and it will... Im probably going to give this a try. I dont know why, but I never have problems with stick drift, but I always have problems with a bumper that stops working. Its definitely not because I abuse it thats for sure. Ever since the 1st Elite controller, its always been the bumper for me. Finally I have another controller I can consider looking into. Ive tried a few others and hated them, which always bring me back to the ELITE controller. I know someone is going to say Razer Wolverine... NO! trash. I didnt even give that one away to someone else, I just threw it away. Controllers actually needed new functionality. They were probably having problems trying to figure out how to implement them. Good to see SCUFF has figured it out and now maybe others will do so as well. Nice QOL features.

I used to be a PS player for most of my life then switched to PC and I love it but this gets me interested in controllers again. I have a PS5 controller but rarely use it unless I’m playing a driving game. Mouse is just more fun and rewarding for most games.
I am not sure how nobody covered the keyboard binds to paddles like you did here... Props for that because it puts this controller on my watchlist even though it does not have the HE sticks I want. For some reason I have not seen a single other review where they cover how game breaking the keyboard to paddle binds can be. The no dead slides and such makes me want to get this for movement. Nothing is more frustrating than when you crouch instead of sliding...
Finally !!! My vantage 2 was amazing till I had kids and it went to crap haven’t found a controller like it ever since but this right here already about to order next check I’m so happy
New iCue update is bricking controllers. It’s so bad that Corsair have pulled the update. Scuff now taking forever to respond to tickets. Others state that they are not getting any response at all, online or by phone. Real mess by the looks of it.
I suggest getting controllers at Best Buy with a protection plan so you can instantly replace it in person whenever something breaks. Or if you constantly want a new controller or to try others without spending more $. (They never check if it's really broken)and broken 😉)

@@youknow-i1csame. I didn’t even bother getting it fixed bc it’ll just keep happening. Just got the DualSense
you and the whole controller scene this pad is a major L NEW IS HALL EFFECT the first outer scuff battlebeaver aim and whoever that deoes that will win who wants a stream deck built in lol no thanks
Yes and no. It will show a “stick drift” but it will either be a spring issue or simply that it needs recalibrated. We currently use Hall effect sensor style gimbals in rc controllers and very seldom are there issues.
1. Spring broke.
2. It needs recalibrated. (which is super easy to do via the computer)
3. Someone took it apart and didn’t put it back together right. (It’s usually this one lol)
Arguably Hall effect sensors are 100x better than the current sensors they have in these gaming controllers and not much more expensive if at all.
I appreciate y’all who enlightened me on the reality of them.
the only hall effect controller that ik about that works on xbox and PC maybe PlayStation is the Gamesir G7 SE
Since when does the Kingkong have paddles?
It doesn’t
@@blaise656 Blud confused the gulikit with the gamesir g7 se
No paddles. It's a _meh_ controller.

Awesome review! Can you do a full walk through of how you have your controller set up in the software?

Recently got mine yesterday and it’s an awesome controller. My only problem with the ergonomics of the controller is the palm grips, if they were a little longer this would have been perfect!

If this had hall effect joysticks I would buy without any hesitation.
Yep, i stopped watching after i didnt hear any reference to hall effect. Sweet it has all those feature but doesnt matter when i get drift in a year and im out $180 after a year.

Ive been playing on my elite 2 for over 5 years and if I purposefully try to make it drift on a 0.03 deadzone it will barely drift a little bit lol it does not affect your aim in any way. Only thing that can be annoying about it is that it will throw you around the menu thats it.
Two Questions:
1. Is the overclocking process the same as a regular controller?
2. What size KontrolFreeks does this take?
Playstation Kontrolfreeks (PS4 and 5)
I have the PS4 KF on mine and they’re not exactly tight. If I’m in a gunfight and I react too quickly, the left one falls off. It’s been happening a lot to me and I’ll lose fun fights. I don’t think they designed this to use with KF. I put mine on this controller because I’m so use to using them. I may take them off and just deal with not having them on it.
I have heard the switch pro controller ones fit perfectly. Going to find out once I get my own controller.
Please do a step by step to setting up keyboard bindings for this in warzone. I followed as closely as I could in the video and set keyboard binds for the back paddles but it won’t pick them up in warzone.
Just got the white version. Great upgrade from the Reflex!

First time im watching one of your videos. Ive never seen a video go this in depth on a controller. Still finishing the video but keep doing what you are doing. Dropped a like and subbed. Cant wait to see what other things you review. 13:01
Can you please make a video explaining and display how to correctly do the keybinds??
The absolute must haves for a modern controller are:
* Back buttons.
* Hall effects sticks and analogue triggers.
* Gyro.
* Fully remapable buttons.
I can’t switch from Xbox to ps style thumb sticks. Agreed
reverse is true for me.

Lol

Hate to hear that, but can't blame you! Glad your new controller is treating you better! Were those PS4 SCUFs? Or PS5 SCUFs? I know a lot of people had bad luck with the PS4s, but I've heard rave reviews on the PS5 gen.

Side controller buttons (the ones to ping or whatnot) aren’t new.

this isn't it. at this price it should absolutely have hall effect and it should also have gyro if you want something that can actually compete with mnk (with practice of course).

Same issue still. So god damn annoying doing random crouching when pressing slide
Two things. First and most importantly, using mnk inputs for some games takes away/lowers aim assist (ex. halo). Will the binding to a keyboard affect that? Great review! I’m curious if you have any knowledge or could recommend a version with offset thumbsticks (Xbox layout) for those of us that prefer that style. That’s one of the reasons that made the Vantage so unique as the symmetrical thumbsticks don’t always feel the most comfortable for people.
This ^. If it had an Xbox layout it would be perfect
The impact has an option for the Xbox layout I’m sure this will eventually. Impact has been my go to for years now
Another great budget option with Hall Effect thumbsticks is the "8bitdo Ultimate Controller". Two paddles on the back, great controller with excellent zero dead zone thumbsticks.
Great controller
yeah
the pro version is currently out of stock, and i cannot wait to get my hands on this controller. def buying.
We might be able to reload on doors now😅
Great video! would love to see one on your custom keybinds, and reasoning behind selection and mapping. / do's and dont's for first time Scuf users / PC to Controller converts
I don’t like how u waited to the 26min mark to say the most important thing that it’s only on pc
Yea me too
A controller without Hall Effect sticks is an instant dealbreaker for me..
Hall effects?
@@dklien6443 Hall effect sticks are magnetic and are virtually stick drift proof, they end up being much more durable than normal potentiometer analog sticks
Imo get the Razer Wolverine Ultimate controller. Best controller I ever bought. Comes with 6 extra buttons. 4 under buttons, 2 extra bumpers.
Money grab. Never buying scuf. They arrive broken or crap out quick 😂
Nice bro. Now you and your streamer friends can toggle your cheats off and on. Lets go
😂 most likely
Thanks for the reply, ill keep an eye out for this product. @@IceManIsaac
@@IceManIsaaci had scuf réflex FPS and five months later L2 broke. I doubt about the actual Quality but in general it has beautiful and ergonomic design..
@@victortamayo1915highly unlikely due to a QC issue , probably you not taking care of your stuff .
@victortamayo1915 12 month warranty. Send that shit back 💪
Isaac- I am struggling assigning the Dive. I keybind Dive to a unassigned Key, let’s say, the equal sign (=). In iQue/Mapping I remap keyboard then select button P2 then remap keyboard to =. Finally, Device Settings and Overwrite the profile. Every time it doesn’t take. What am I doing wrong?
I was looking for an answer for that too.
Still 250hz polling rate... 🥴🥴
Facts
This is the biggest fail. That and lack of Hall effect sensors. Plus you need to use the bloatware that is icue. Hard pass for me
You can just overclock that to 1000 with any controller on pc wired
Just received mine a few days ago. It takes getting used to gripping it just right so that those side buttons aren't pressed by accident. But this controller is simply amazing. I'm performing better than mnk on ranked consistently
After just a week of use, its impact on my gaming experience has been nothing short of transformative. I reconfigured the triggers to RB and LB, resulting in a significantly more comfortable and faster gaming experience.
I’m going to wait and see the official word from COD on this specific controller. I have a feeling they might not allow it because of the people that will abuse the macros setting
It’s a scuf controller Ofcourse it going to be allowed
It’s basically a controller with a Kronos in built 😂
If only the analogs were offset
Why?
This is the best TV infomercial I’ve ever seen. “But wait! There’s more!”
Does the Xbox controller come with the Left Stick in the same place as this one? If so....nah im good
i had a bad experience with scuf a long time ago where i had a controller mess up a month or so after i got it and never got a single reply from customer support and i was so confused but this still looks really nice!
I can’t believe I just found your channel. Amazing setup, I can’t wait to go through your channel library.
Just bought this controller! Love it! only problem im having is stick drift.. does yours have the same issue?
Can you walk us through how you setup the macro to slide cancel? Didn’t quite understand that part and feel like that would be a great thing for me to have! Appreciate it man
2 mins in and just heard you say you're an ex airforce pilot. SICK ASF. I'm a civilian pilot about to start applying for airlines. I aspire to be as cool as you and thanks for helping me make the decision to buy this controller.
Im in love with this controller! Best controller i ever had
Can we get a vid on your mapping for it??
Can you please connect this controller to pc VIA "STEAM" and let your pc only users know if you can re-bind every button, stick, peddles, etc. Everything! when connected to STEAM BIG PICTURE MODE (please note you must enable steam input for "ps5 & Generic" controller in settings >controller first) ""NOT THROUGH THE ICUE SOFTWARE STEAM BIG PICTURE MODE ONLY!""
This is probably the controller i would've bought had i not already got the Dualsense Edge PS5 Controller. I love mine though!
I used to be a PS player for most of my life then switched to PC and I love it but this gets me interested in controllers again. I have a PS5 controller but rarely use it unless I’m playing a driving game. Mouse is just more fun and rewarding for most games.
Begins at 4:15 you're welcome.
It does not work which is why nobody else covered it.
it literally does lmfao@@joaoabrantes6454
Great content brother, from one vet to another keep grinding. Btw i am getting the wired version.
Finally !!! My vantage 2 was amazing till I had kids and it went to crap haven’t found a controller like it ever since but this right here already about to order next check I’m so happy
The problem with the FPS short triggers is that if you get into a vehicle say in warzone you won’t be able to go fast, doesn’t go down enough…
Just ordered mine, my instinct pro is dying. After a year and a half of use, over 2500ish hours, and stick drift for over a year. I’m so excited
Just got one, ive already had 2 scuf4ps back at 2018-2019, they broke just in 6 months. I hope this one is better.
This controller can be used for malicious purposes. These buttons can be set for macros, which is considered cheating within the CoD community.
New iCue update is bricking controllers. It’s so bad that Corsair have pulled the update. Scuff now taking forever to respond to tickets. Others state that they are not getting any response at all, online or by phone. Real mess by the looks of it.
Been waiting years before buying a scuf. Glad I waited until this controller. Instantly pulled the trigger on the buy
Just bought two custom ones today using your code brotha! One for me and my wife ❤. Thank you for the video and honesty sir
Someone needs to put out a video on how to program this controller. It's not easy on this controller to set it up
Battle beaver offers tension thumbsticks which is great for FPS aim precision and accuracy
Can you make a video going over all your key binds for COD? Would love to see how you can only slide cancel vs dolphin dive etc...
I suggest getting controllers at Best Buy with a protection plan so you can instantly replace it in person whenever something breaks. Or if you constantly want a new controller or to try others without spending more $. (They never check if it's really broken)and broken 😉)
Can you do a guide video on how to set up all the buttons? Just got mine today!
Can you share your keybinds for MW3?
