I've just got a G4 and I am in love with it. I didn't know quite a few of these features so I'm going to have a play now! Plus they are actually features too, instead of just 'Gimmicks'.

hi, this video it's great! btw, i don't know if you know this: when your G4 screen is off gently swipe down to turn a little box notification to see the clock and notification bar.

Awesome vid, bro! Just one question. I noticed you have a 5 x 4 icon grid on your homescreen/desktop. Does the LG G4 give you the option to customize that (like make it a 8 x 6 grid... I like my icons tight) without the need to add any external launcher?

2019 and still rocking my G4. I continue to get compliments on photos I've taken with it. Despite encountering bootloops and overheating issues, I still love it for it's great pics!

Man you should keep doing this for all the major phones. it really helps a lot in choosing the phone. There are little things that people want from a phone apart from the spec sheet.Great work keep doing this man.

i would only add one feature:
slide your finger down while the screen is locked, you'll be able to see time and date and modifications without having to unlock.

I have the LG G2 and its great, but I am "done" with the back buttons. The "knock" feature is a life saver.

+Terry Henry Of course, the Note 3 is older than the G4. But grab the Note 5 and you'll see how many features it has over the G4. I saw them in the TechisodeTV video as well.
+Lucas Augusto lol, no the G4 is a serious phone, the Note is a phablet...always behind in features and speed!
You know I was gonna switch to the LG G4 and add the LG smartwatch but then Note 5 and subsequently the Gear S2. Both turning the notch up over other phones. Yeah...i'll stick to my Samsung family.
LMAO...@ my own comment. Sadly, today I bought the Note 5. It just played out that way. Trust me...I was giving the LG the side eye.

Tariq Mulla I suppose it all depends on what you're looking for in a phone. If the camera was the most important, then yeah, the camera on the G4 is the best smartphone camera I've personally used hands down. But if you're more interested in unique features like robust multi-window features, built in wireless charging, fast charging (which the G4 does not have), and VR then the S6 would take the win. Since I'm a feature junkie I'd personally go with the S6 between those two phones if that makes you feel any better ;) I'd still miss the killer camera on the G4 from time to time though.

+2K GOD One of the cheaper phones and still after reading reviews, comparisons and watching videos yesterday to today, whenever I got the time and since 4pm to 10:40, this is in my opinion the best phone.
because LG has came out with the G5 and the V10 :) so this one became cheaper got mine for $340 at T-Mobile four months ago

Wow, a remarkable amount of features.. I have been skimping on having a "true" smartphone for some years now due to budgetary reasons (I'd rather have a beefy desktop as a power user), but smartphones have really become smart since.. haven't they? I'll have to watch this video again when the phone finally arrives at my front door..
I'm also checking out videos for the best android apps & other general android smartphone settings.
What I'm really excited about (among everything else) is the ability to have 2 windows open, have wireless charging and having a phone that has a camera that is better than anything I've owned in years..

I had this phone,barely 8 months of normal used,now in the LG repair center for boot loop/don't power on issues,still under warranty....LG G4 IS INDEED AWESOME!
The LG G4 is, in my opinion, the most ahead of it's time smartphone we've had for the last decade. If it wasn't for the bootloop bug bricking my LG G4, i would've still used it today. 1440p 60Hz OLED glossy display, latest bluetooth version at the time, insanely good built-in DAC for clean AUX audio and music playback, good OS features that wasn't as bloated as any of the competitors Operating Systems at the time, long battery life, amazing camera and lastly iconic, timeless physical aesthetics and good build quality. Considering the price i gave for it back then, it was a fucking bargain compared to buying a new smartphone nowadays. Especially during this economic recession. Wish LG would still make phones like this. Nostalgic for sure.
How can i turn off awake by double tap? (36). And how can i tiurn off doublee tap for taking a photo (42)? Ive got more than 100 photos without automatically.
My LG V10 is arriving tomorrow... Hope all these features in the G4 will be available in the V10..... Fingers crossed
Thanks for your upload and I find this very informative. You mentioned about OTG accessories compatibility with this phone. Can I just buy an OTG cable off ebay and this will work immediately without having to download an OTG app? The android verison of the G4 H810 is version 6.0 . Thanks.
I had this G4 and it eventually was ran over by a car so I got a different phone the Galaxy S7. Something I really like about the G4 was the little popup that comes up when watching a video so you can preview before selecting a different section of the video (your item #33 in the video). WHAT IS THAT CALLED? I am trying to find out how I can do that with my Galaxy S7, whether it was an LG video playing program only or if I can download a video player that can do that on my S7. it was one of my favorite things about the G4!
Hi, have a H815P, it doesn't have a "Smart Screen" like G3 does... (to avoid screen turn off)and I have seen a secret menú just pressing de setting button for 5 seconds on the notifications bar... Well I don't have it too. Think the difference is on the version. Mine is V20f and the one who has it is V20j. Am I rite.??
got a used LG G4 some days ago. Although it's a former flagship but I bought is due to his great camera. I found it's a litte heavy with a brick style but seems to be a nice phone if you don't get infected by the deadly bootloop. my has S/N: 602... and I hope LG has fixed this hardware bug in later productions. have read alot about lagging with games like pokemon go or others. What is the best to get off lagging with LG G4 at MM6.0 ?

I just got this phone over a DSLR (I RARELY take pictures or film so I don't know why I even wanted one in the first place). This was really helpful.
Unreliable phone. Could be a good device if it hadn't infamous and pervasive bootloop issue. It's very likely that sooner or later every G4 phone gets one. And LG fails a big deal to take responsibility for that. Instead, they set rules or regulations for their so-called official representatives to seek and find whatever excuses to revoke warranty. Considering their conduct on problematic cases, I suggest to be very cautious on weighing purchasing LG devices.
Awesome phone if you don't mind all the proprietary bloatware. While some first world counties who respect their citizens' privacy have forced LG to release bootloader unlock codes, people like me in third world countries have to sit back and get their data mined. Yes it is possible to root your device and remove bloatware/carrier spyware on Android 5.1 but then you are exposed to stagefright...
How great is it when your mini usb port is loose and intermediately won't charge, I like my LG G$ but not I'm having charging issue because the mini port is loose, this can and probably will happen to ALL phones though. That tiny connector is too delicate.

for some reason when I click the pencil in the Gallery app it ask to open in photos or snapseed but not opening the edit in gallery like in your video . how do I make it to open like in your video ?
Wow your video is very informative. Very brief and juicy. I had my phone 2 weeks ago and I can say that I'm enjoying it a lot. My favorite feature is the touch assistance, lets me take a screenshot without pressing the buttons at the back.
Here’s one more trick [don’t know if you already found this], you can press the shutter icon in camera mode without lifting your finger and it will do “burst shooting” to 10 shots per second [or more]. But you can only do this in auto mode.

LG G4 is fantastic set but it have manufacturer fault. Nobody trace it what is the fault.I was buy it 1 month before and today it suddenly shutdown and not restart only show LG logo and thn close and restart. I lost 30000 Rs
It's great phone except that all the chargers fail after some time (mine after a year) and the early versions with serial numbers starting from 505 to 509 have production defect and most of them die in less than a year (mine is still alive). I have two of them I had no problems with the first one bought from a carrier but when I bought the second I had to replace it 3 times before getting one without a dust under the screen, spot visible in the camera etc. I guess poor quality control
my lg4 was awesome but got stuck in logo mode; was told it couldn't be fixed; bought new Samsung galaxy and really need my calendar off the lg4. is there anyway to retrieve it?
E-mail notifications. How do I reduce the number of these notifications? Yahoo, G-mail are literally repeated.
I still have mine, I'm just waiting for it to be revived and get a new battery. I love this phone, it's just that there's two major flaws of the phone, the overheating issue it's almost like i could fry an egg at also sa battery drainage issue the longest i could get out of the phone was like 2 hours after a year and a half of use. Despite that i still like the phone. I recommend if u gonna buy this phone until now just use it for photography and buy another phone as a daily driver lol

you forgot to mention that you can chnage the notification LED colour for a specific contact . . . . . . . . .and also in messages background image,, as in like,, one contact my have a different background whilst for the rest of your contacts it's the same . . . . . This is a pretty good video though. .helped alot. . . .
